“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, the Chairman of the Board, Mr. McMahon!”

 

Vince McMahon theme

 

After weeks of absence, Mr. McMahon enters the arena to a huge pop. He walks to the ring in a way that only he can, and the fans continue to cheer.

 

“Boy, it’s great to be back!”

 

More cheers begin to fill the arena as the Chairman stands in the ring.

 

“Now last week, my son Shane came out here to address the problem that is Vickie Guererro. Rather than listen to me explain what happened, let’s just take a look at the TitanTron.”

 

 

The fans boo as the General Manager of Smackdown, Vickie Guererro, enters the arena with a microphone. She walks down to the ring, receiving tons of heat from the crowd.

 

She looks around the arena. “You suck!” chants begin to fill the arena.

 

“Excuse me!”

 

Boos and more “You suck!” chants.

 

“I said, excuse me! Now, I’m out here for one reason and one reason only! I have decided to cancel tonight’s Main Event Match!”

 

”What? Cancel the Main Event?”

 

”Why would she do that?”

 

The crowd continues to boo the General Manager. I had a feeling that something would happen to stop the Main Event, but I wasn’t sure.

 

“Unfortunately for all of you, your hometown hero, Triple H, won’t be reclaiming the WWE Championship tonight! You see, I found out that Triple H’s Rematch Clause had only been a six day clause, meaning that it expired yesterday. Therefore, it is no longer valid.”

 

”Somethin’s goin’ on here. There’s no way Triple H’s Rematch Clause would be a six-day clause. That makes no sense.”

 

”Yeah, I agree with you, J.R. I don’t like this.”

 

“So, I’m sorry, but tonight, there will be no Title Match.”

 

Vickie Guererro begins to leave the ring.

 

”This is not fair. I know that something’s up.”

 

”Well, there’s nothin’ anybody can do about it. Vickie Guererro is the General Manager.”

 

 

Vickie Guererro, leaving the ring, steps back into the ring as Shane McMahon makes his way to the ring. He dances a little bit on the ramp and high-fives a lot of fans to a huge pop before entering the ring and getting a microphone.

 

“Vickie, Vickie, look. This is ridiculous. Every week, your husband, Edge, goes around kissing your a*s, and every week, you reward him for it. I am tired of it, and so is the Board of Directors. I don’t know if you remember this, but at New Year’s Revolution, your career was put on the line in a match because my father did not like the way you were running Smackdown. Well, I’ve decided that your career is going to be put on the line again.”

 

“Shane O’Mac” chants fill the arena from an extremely excited Grenwich crowd.

 

“My father hasn’t been on TV for over a month now. However, I have spoken to him, and he has decided that it’s time for him to make a return. He is going to address you, and your husband Edge. And let me tell you something, Vickie. Based on what he’s told me, you’re not going to like it.”

 

Suddenly, Edge runs down to the ring. Shane McMahon turns around, and Edge Spears him. He holds up his Intercontinental Championship Belt and hugs his wife.

 

”Come on! You gotta be kidding me! Edge just Speared Shane McMahon!”

 

”What was Edge thinking?!”

 

“You suck!” chants begin to fill the arena, directed at both Edge and Vickie Guererro.

 

 

The entire crowd begins to cheer wildly as DX’s music hits. Edge lets go of Vickie and turns to look at the TitanTron. Triple H enters the arena, sporting a DX outfit. The fans chant “Triple H” as he makes his way to the ring. Let’s not forget, this is Triple H’s hometown.

 

”It’s The Game! Triple H is here!”

 

”He doesn’t look angry, J.R.!”

 

Triple H walks around the ring, and stops to get a microphone.

 

“Well would you look at that? It’s just so unfortunate that my Rematch Clause happened to expire just one day before I was supposed to challenge for the WWE Championship. But you know what, I’m not mad. I’m not..”

 

“Triple H, we don’t care! My wife and I have business to attend to!”

 

Edge and Vickie begins to leave the ring and walk up the ramp.

 

“Well okay then.”

 

Suddenly, Edge and Vickie walk over a part of the ramp and they fall into a square hole. The fans go wild.

 

“Oops. There’s a hole there. How unfortunate.”

 

“Triple H” chants begin to fill the arena. The Game walks up to the hole and pulls two cans of silly string out of his coat pocket. He shakes up one can, and sprays it all over Edge and Vickie before doing the same with the second can. The Intercontinental Champion and the General Manager are shown in the hole, covered in silly string, as Triple H taunts over them for the fans to end the show.

 

“Edge, I’d like for you and your wife, Vickie Guererro, to come down to the ring right now.”

 

Edge theme

 

Edge and Vickie Guererro, holding hands, enter the arena. The fans greet them with boos as they make their way to the ring. Mr. McMahon signals for a microphone and hands it to Edge as he enters the ring.

 

“Good evening, you two.”

 

“Good evening, Vince. I mean, Mr. McMahon. It’s an honor to have you back here on Smackdown. My wife and I have been doing our best to keep things going well.”

 

“I’m sure you have. Now, for about two years, Vickie Guererro has been the General Manager of Smackdown, and for about two years, Smackdown has continued to receive lower ratings than Raw, and recently, ECW. When I made the decision to name Vickie Guererro as the General Manager, I did it because I thought it would be good for business. Well I’ve since learned that..”

 

Vickie Guererro takes the microphone from Edge.

 

“Excuse me! I have..”

 

“Did you just interrupt me?! What do you think gives you the right to interrupt me?”

 

“Mr. McMahon, I am the best General Manager in Smackdown history, and I always..”

 

“If the WWE’s goal was to receive lower ratings than any other show on television, you’d be great for the job. However that’s far from what we’re going for. Vickie Guererro these fans don’t like you, the Smackdown superstars don’t like you, and h*ll, I don’t like you! With all of that in mind, I’ve decided that your career will be put on the line at Wrestlemania 25!”

 

The fans stand on their feet and cheer in excitement.

 

Edge takes the microphone from Vickie Guererro.

 

“I don’t think it’s right that you talk to my wife like that!”

 

“Do you think I give a d*mn what you think is right or wrong? The answer is no! I don’t give a d*mn about you or your wife! And you know what, Edge? I’ve decided that you’re going to be the one to defend your wife’s career at Wrestlemania. But I didn’t want you to face just anybody. Many people thought I was going to have Goldberg be your opponent. Some even said Triple H. But neither Goldberg nor Triple H will be your opponent. Your opponent..is this man!”

 

Edge and Vickie Guererro turn their attention toward the TitanTron.

 

 

”What?!”

 

”You gotta be kiddin’ me!”

 

Shane McMahon runs into the arena and dances on the ramp. Suddenly, he goes to the back. He returns seconds later, wielding a trash can. He begins to run toward the ring, and Edge tries to exit the ring. Edge turns around to exit the ring, but Vince McMahon hits him with a Right Hand. Shane hits Edge with a DDT and drags him over to the corner. Shane places the Trash Can in between the ropes and hits Edge with a Coast-to-Coast. The fans go wild as Shane McMahon gets to his feet and Vince McMahon raises Shane’s arm in the air to end the show.

ECW’s “Masked Savior” enters the arena to a huge ovation as the show is about to get underway.

 

”Welcome everyone to Friday Night Smackdown! We are just weeks away from what some are expecting to be the biggest Wrestlemania of all time, Wrestlemania 25! I’m Good Ol’ J.R. Jim Ross alongside Tazz!”

 

”Tonight is gonna be off the charts! After seein what we just saw moments ago, I was told that we’re gonna hear from Shane McMahon right here tonight!”

 

Shane McMahon [Tonight]

 

”Plus, we’re gonna find out who the next participant in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match will be when Brownlee battles The Brian Kendrick!”

 

Brownlee vs. The Brian Kendrick [Tonight]

 

”But right now we’re gonna get things started with Ren, one of ECW’s most impressive athletes! Ren put on a great show this past Tuesday on ECW when he took on Shelton Benjamin, and I expect he’ll put on a great show here tonight!”

 

*Bell rings*

 

“This opening Tag Team Contest is scheduled for one fall!”

 

Ren enters the ring and dashes to the ropes. He climbs to the second rope (not in the corner) and raises his fist in the air to a pretty big ovation.

 

 

Evan “Air” Bourne enters the arena, ready to fight. He taunts on the ramp before running to the ring. He high-fives Ren and turns toward the TitanTron, awaiting the arrival of their opponents.

 

Shelton Benjamin theme

 

The fans boo as The Gold Standard, who has been on a bit of winning streak lately, enters the arena. He stands on the ramp.

 

The Miz theme

 

Raw’s “Chick Magnet” enters the arena and looks at Benjamin. He nods, and they begin to walk toward the ring.

 

”This should be an interesting contest. You’ve got Shelton Benjamin and The Miz, two athletes that have seen much success in this business, and then you’ve got Ren and Evan Bourne, two athletes that haven’t seen much success yet, but have the potential to become greats in this business.”

 

”That Evan Bourne, man. He gives me the chills! I’ve never seen anybody fly around the ring the way that Bourne does! He’s fantastic!”

 

”Ren’s a bit of a high-flyer himself. Made his debut a couple of months ago, targeting Jack Swagger, but when the two squared off, Swagger emerged victorious.”

 

First Match: Ren & Evan Bourne vs. Shelton Benjamin & The Miz

 

Match: Bourne gets things started with Miz. Bourne with a few Right Hands followed by a Dropkick. Miz gets to his feet near the ropes, and Bourne tries to Clothesline him out of the ring, but Miz throws Bourne over his shoulders and out of the ring. Bourne lands on the ring apron, though. Miz turns around, not expecting Bourne to be standing there, and Bourne hits him with a Right Hand. Bourne pulls Miz’s face into the ropes while stepping down from the ring apron. Bourne climbs to the top rope and goes for a Moonsault, but Miz moves out of the way. Miz rushes to his corner and makes the Tag to Benjamin. Benjamin takes Bourne down with a Clothesline. He follows it up with a Vertical Suplex into a cover. 1! 2! Bourne gets the shoulder up. Benjamin stomps on Bourne’s chest a few times and tries for another cover, but gets the same result.

 

”Shelton Benjamin really knows how to wear a guy down.”

 

"It's only a matter of time until Shelton Benjamin wins a World Title! I can feel it!"

 

Bourne goes for a kick, but Benjamin grabs his leg. Bourne connects with an Inziguri. The fans cheer as Bourne and Benjamin fall to the mat.

 

"Speaking of feeling things, I'm pretty sure Benjamin just felt that kick!"

 

Bourne slowly crawls toward the corner and makes the Tag to Ren. Benjamin gets a Tag to The Miz. Miz goes for a Clothesline, but Ren ducks and hits a Reverse Neckbreaker! Ren hooks the leg! 1! 2! Miz kicks out! Ren jumps to the top rope as Miz gets to his feet. Ren connects with a Missle Dropkick! Again Ren hooks the leg! 1! 2! Thr..Benjamin breaks it up! Ren hits Benjamin with some Right Hands and throws him over the top rope! Ren turns around, and Miz kicks him in the chest. Miz connects with The Mizard of Oz! Miz hooks the leg! 1! 2! 3!

 

Winners: Shelton Benjamin & The Miz

 

"It's over! The Miz got the pinfall!'

 

"That short distraction was enough to cost Ren the match! You gotta stay focused at all times; especially if you're in the ring with athletes like Shelton Benjamin and The Miz."

 

"That match was a great way to start the show, but it was only the beginning of what I'm sure will be a great show! In what could be her final weeks as General Manager, Vickie Guererro looks to help her husband boost his career as much as possible, if you will. In her first attempt to do that, she made a match that will be tonight's Main Event Match. Edge will go one-on-one with the WWE Champion CM Punk in a non-Title Match!"

"And comin' up next, we're gonna hear from the Intercontinental Champion himself, Edge!"

The Rated R-Superstar enters the arena and walks to the middle of the ramp. He holds the Intercontinental Championship above his head as fireworks explode on the stage.

 

"Welcome back to Smackdown, and we're just getting this great night underway!"

 

"What better way to really get a night goin' then an appearance from Edge?"

 

"I can think of plenty of things, Tazz."

 

"Well that's cause you don't have respect for The Rated-R Superstar!"

 

"I used to have plenty of respect for Edge. Then he started using his wife to further his career. Needless to say, I don't respect Edge anymore, and with good reason."

 

"Oh don't be so negative, J.R.!"

 

Edge enters the ring and gets a microphone.

 

"I.." The crowd begins to boo. "I.." More boos. "Shut up and listen to me! I am the Intercontinental Champion, and I deserve your respect!" "You suck" chants begin to fill the arena. "See, that's the problem with you people! You think that because I'm not a World Champion, I don't deserve respect!"

 

"What is Edge talking about?"

 

"He's talkin' about the fact that this crowd is being disrespectful."

 

"That's exactly why I came out here. I am the Intercontinental Champion!" He holds up the Championship. "This Championship used to mean something! It was held by greats such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, and even Shawn Michaels. Over the years, selfish fans like yourselves and carless superstars like most of the guys in the back stopped paying attention to it. The Intercontinental Championship used to be a stepping stone for to the World Heavyweight Title, but know it's just a joke. I've had enough of that. When I watched wrestling as a kid, I knew that someday I could be as great of an Intercontinental Champion as people like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Ricky Steamboat! And that reign begins tonight. I'm not going to worry about the WWE Championship right now, because my main concern is restoring honor and prestige to this once glorious Championship! Along with making sure that my wife keeps her job as the General Manager of Smackdown!"

 

The fans boo in response to the mention of Vickie Guererro. Edge looks around the ring, seemingly furious.

 

"Today is the beginning of the greatest Intercontinetnal Championship reign in the history of wrestling!"

 

"Powerful words from The Rated-R Superstar. I wonder how Edge plans on bringing prestige back to the Intercontinental Championship."

 

"Don't worry, J.R. Edge'll find a way to do it. They don't call him The Ultimate Opportunist for nothin'!"

 

"Still to come tonight, Edge goes one-on-one with CM Punk! Will the Intercontinental Champion prevail?"

"Yeah but comin' up next, The Game Triple H teams up with Chavo Guererro to take on Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder in an Extreme Rules Match!"

Last week..

 

Vickie Guererro tells Triple H in the back that his match will now be an Extreme Rules Match.

 

Triple H defeated Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder in an Extreme Rules Match when Chavo Guererro came out and hit both Hawkins and Ryder with the WWE Championship. It had looked like Chavo was going to attack Triple H, but he turned on Hawkins and Ryder and took them both down with the WWE Championship. Chavo hit Ryder with a Frog Splash and The Game hit Hawkins with a Pedigree before pinning him.

 

"What a match that was last week! Not to mention how surprised everyone was when Chavo Guererro turned on Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder!"

 

"I was completely shocked! I wonder why Chavo would do something like that? It's disrespectful to Vickie Guererro!"

 

"God forbid someone disrespects Vickie Guererro." J.R., obviously speaking sarcastically, looks at Tazz.

 

 

The crowd booes as The Edgeheads enter the arena. They smile as they walk to the ring.

 

"Hawkins and Ryder suffered defeat at the hands of Triple H last week in a Handicap Match, and you gotta know that they'll want revenge tonight."

 

"No doubt about it, J.R. And In my opinion, they deserve it."

 

 

Chavo enters the arena to a major, and I mean major, pop as he comes out to the theme music of the late, great, Eddie Guererro. Chavo enters the arena in a custom-painted pick-up truck, sporting hydrolics, similar to the vehicles his Uncle Eddie used to drive to the ring.

 

"What's this? Chavo's in a low-rider!"

 

"What in the world is goin' on here?"

 

Hawkins and Ryder look at Chavo in confusion as he exits the vehicle with a microphone.

 

"Ola le'! How's it goin Texas?"

 

"Eddie" chants begin to fill the arena as the fans pay tribute to Eddie Guererro.

 

"I'm sure a bunch of you guys are wondering what exactly is goin on'! Especially you two." Chavo points to Hawkins and Ryder. "Allow me to explain! Ever since Vickie Guererro became the General Manager of Smackdown, I've supported her and everything she does. Well the time for that is over!" The fans cheer. "You see, Vickie Guererro has done nothing but disgrace the Guererro name! And as a Guererro myself, I refuse to stand by and let the Guererro Legacy be destroyed!" More "Eddie" Chants fill the arena as Chavo looks around, smiling. "My Uncle Eddie would have wanted Vickie Guererro to care about the fans, and do what's best for Smackdown! Not put her husband Edge into tons of Title Matches even though he continues to lose them! So last week I decided that it was time to do what's right! And that's why I attacked Hawkins and Ryder. From now on, Chavo Guererro is about the fans, and protecting the Guererro Legacy! Viva la raza!"

 

"It's about d*mn time! Vickie Guererro was treating Chavo, and the WWE Universe like crap, and Chavo's finally realized that! Good for him!"

 

"Now ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to my Tag Team Partner, The Game, Triple H!" Chavo points toward the TitanTron.

 

 

The Game enters the arena to a standing ovation. He makes his way to the ring, sporting a De-Generation X t-shirt.

 

"Here comes The Game! This thing is about to get underway!"

 

"Hawkins and Ryder were seconds away from defeating The Game last week, and this week, they won't have to worry about being betrayed. They should be able to win without a problem!"

 

Second Match: Triple H & Chavo Guererro vs. Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder [Extreme Rules Match]

 

Match: Hawkins charges Triple H, who responds with a Forearm Smash. Hawkins quickly scrambles to his feet, only to get knocked down with a Right Hand from The Game. Triple H taunts for the fans before bouncing off the ropes and hitting Hawkins with a Running Knee Drop. Ryder steps down from the apron and gets a Kendo Stick from underneath the ring.

 

"Ryder's got that Kendo Stick."

 

"It's all legal in an Extreme Rules Match, J.R.!"

 

Chavo hits a Plancha over the top ropes, taking Ryder down on the outside. Hawkins hits Triple H with some Left Hands before Irish Whipping him into the corner. Hawkins hits The Game with a couple of Right Hands in the corner. Hawkins lifts The Game onto the turnbuckle for a Superplex. The Game hits Hawkins with a few Right Hands to the chest, sending him crashing to the mat below.

 

"It's not often we see Triple H in the high-risk district!"

 

Ryder climbs onto the apron and pushes Triple H off of the top rope. Chavo comes up from behind Ryder and throws him head-first into the security barricade. Chavo grabs a steel chair and walks toward Ryder with it. Ryder hits a Drop Toe Hold on Chavo, causing Chavo to fall and Chavo's face to hit the chair. Ryder begins to assault Chavo with some Right Hands. Inside the ring, Triple H hits a Scoop Slam on Hawkins, followed by an attempted cover, but Hawkins kicks out quickly. The Game Irish Whips Hawkins into the corner. The Game goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Hawkins ducks it. Hawkins hits The Game with A DDT. Hawkins takes the pad off of the top turnbuckle, leaving it exposed. He picks up The Game and Irish Whips him into the exposed turnbuckle. Triple H falls to the mat in pain. Hawkins hooks the leg, but The Game kicks out at two.

 

"That was a close one!"

 

Ryder gets on the apron, and Chavo does the same. Hawkins makes the Tag to Ryder. The Game tries to tag in Chavo, but Ryder drags him toward the opposite corner. Ryder stomps Triple H's back a few times, followed by a Standing Elbow Drop. Ryder Tags Hawkins back in. Hawkins goes for an STO on Triple H, but The Game counters it, pushing Hawkins into the ropes. Hawkins bounces back..Spinebuster! The Game crawls toward the corner..can he make the Tag? Yes! The Game Tags in Chavo! Ryder runs in the ring, and Chavo hits him with a Dropkick. Hawkins hits an unexpecting Chavo with a Right Hand. Hawkins grabs Chavo's arms and holds them behind Chavo's back. Ryder picks up the Kendo Stick from earlier. He goes to hit Chavo, but Chavo ducks, and Ryder smashes Hawkins with the Kendo Stick. Chavo hits Ryder with a Low Blow. Chavo goes up top!

 

"Does Chavo realize that Ryder is not the legal man?"

 

"Eddie" chants begin to fill the arena as Chavo signals for the Frog Splash.

 

Chavo hits a Frog Splash on Ryder, and hooks the leg, but the Referee tells him that Ryder isn't the legal man. Hawkins hits Chavo with the Kendo Stick, pratically knocking him out. Hawkins hooks the legs, but The Game pulls Hawkins out of the ring before the Referee gets to three. The Game hits Hawkins with a Right Hand and throws him into the steel steps. The crowd goes wild as Triple H gets a sledgehammer from underneath the ring. Ryder hits The Game with a Baseball Slide, knocking him down. Chavo throws Ryder out of the ring. Slowly, Hawkins gets back into the ring. He goes for an STO on Chavo, but Chavo kicks him in the chest! Chavo with a Vertical Suplex! And another one! Can he finish it up? Yes! Chavo connects with a third! Chavo to the top rope again! Takes to the air! Frog Splash connects! Cover! 1! 2! 3!

 

Winners: Triple H & Chavo Guererro

 

"They did it! Chavo and The Game won!"

 

"No way! Once again Hawkins and Ryder were screwed out of a victory!"

 

"Screwed? How do you figure?"

 

"It's just stupid! They should have won!"

 

Chavo exits the ring and helps Triple H to his feet. Chavo raises Triple H's arm in the air as the two celebrate their victory. The fans cheer as Chavo gets in the low-rider and activates the hydrolics.

 

"What a night for Chavo Guererro and Triple H! Now that Triple H has gotten past Hawkins and Ryder, one's gotta wonder what his goal will be for Wrestlemania 25. Will he challenge CM Punk for the WWE Championship?"

 

"I've got no clue, but I'm sure that whatever The Game does will be memorable!"

 

"Speaking of CM Punk, he'll be in action later on tonight when he faces off against the Intercontinental Champion, Edge!"

Commercial break

 

For weeks they've brawled, but this Monday, it's going to end, one way or another. WWE United States Champion Striker Boyd defends the United States Championship against Finlay! Raw! Live at 9 PM! Only on USA!

 

CM Punk is standing in his locker room, stretching.

 

"It looks like CM Punk is getting prepared to take on Edge. We're here in San Antonio, and tonight has been pretty big so far! But let's take you back to this past Monday on Raw when Stone Cold Steve Austin officiated a Contract Signing for the Main Event of Wrestlemania 25!"

 

Four days ago..

 

“Alright, listen up. We’re gonna make this short and sweet. Each of you are gonna have a chance to say somethin’, then you’ll sign the contract. We’ll save the fighting until Wrestlemania.” (What) “Now then, Jeff, you go first.”

 

All four competitors take a seat and Jeff Hardy picks up a microphone.

 

“I haven’t been very talkative since I won the Royal Rumble. I took a little while to decide who I would face at Wrestlemania, and then when I did make my decision, I had no idea this is what it would turn out to be. However, I ain’t complainin’. This match is gonna be one h*ll of a challenge, but it’s going to allow me to realize my dream! At Wrestlemania 25, Jeff Hardy will become the next World Heavyweight Champion!”

 

Jeff Hardy signs the contract, and passes it over to Rey Mysterio. Rey picks up a microphone.

 

“Man, I’m glad to see you determined and everything, but I gotta say this. Jeff, you won’t be walking out of Wrestlemania with the Title, because I will!”

 

“619” chants fill the arena as Rey Mysterio signs the contract. He passes it to Devon Immortal, who picks up a microphone.

 

“How nice, two of the fan favorites talking about the fact that they’re going to win the Championship. I’ve got some news for you; it’s gonna take a lot more than heart to beat me. I’m a former World Heavyweight Champion, and my..”

 

“Hold on a sec, Devon.” Rey Mysterio looks around the arena. “I could be wrong, but didn’t you have one of the shortest Championship Reigns in wrestling history? I mean, you won the Title on Raw, then lost it like two weeks later.”

Devon Immortal signs the contract and passes it to Kane. Kane signs the contract before picking up a microphone.

 

“I admire the fact that all of you want to take this Championship from me, but that’s not going to happen. You see, this is my first time winning the World Heavyweight Championship in over seven years, and I don’t plan on losing it any time soon. I’ve beaten all of you in Singles Matches before, and in my opinion, it won’t be that hard to beat all of you at Wrestlemania.”

 

Kane laughs and puts the microphone down.

 

Promo Music (Added)

 

“Hold on a d*mn minute!” The fans boo as Randy Orton enters the arena with a microphone. “This is ridiculous. I should be in this match, and the fact that I am being excluded from it is not fair! I am the greatest Champion of all time. I am a destructive, intelligent human being, and there is no one; no one!..that is a better superstar than me. Now Devon, I heard what you said earlier. I’m not getting worse. What’s happening is that you’re getting luckier. The last time I stepped into the ring for a competitive match was at No Way Out, when I was screwed out of the Championship by Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Cryme Tyme, and Ted DiBiase! I demand..”

 

“Randy shut your d*mn mouth already!” “Austin” chants begin to fill the arena as the officiator stares at Austin. “No one gives a rat’s a*s what you have to say. You lost to Rey Mysterio last week, and therefore, you will not be allowed to participate in this match. And that’s the bottom lineeee..cause Stone Cold said so!”

 

Batista theme

 

Orton’s eyes widen as Batista’s music hits. The Animal enters the arena and stands behind Orton on the stage. Orton slowly turns around to see Batista standing there. Orton tries to hit Batista with a Right Hand, but The Animal grabs his hand and Clotheslines him. Batista throws Orton into the TitanTron Wall before hitting him with a Spinebuster on the steel ramp.

 

”Good God Batista has sent one h*ll of a message tonight! I think Randy Orton’s got bigger things to worry about than the World Heavyweight Championship!”

 

Commercial break

 

Jamie Noble theme

 

Jamie Noble is standing in the ring with a microphone. There is a Referee standing behind him.

 

"Let me ask y'all somethin'! Aren't y'all excited about the fact that Jamie Noble is goin' to Wrestlemania?" The crowd responds with boos. Noble ignores them. "Ya see, Jamie Noble is gonna defeat whoever he's gotta face this Monday on Raw. Then, he's gonna go to Wrestlemania and win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match! That's a guarantee! But before that, Jamie Noble's gonna give some unlucky superstar in the back an a*s-whoopin! So why.."

 

Mr. Kennedy theme

 

Mr. Kennedy enters the arena to a standing ovation.

 

"My God, Tazz! It's Mr. Kennedy!"

 

"He's back! We haven't seen Mr. Kennedy in over two months!"

 

"This crowd loves it! Listen to this reaction!"

 

Kennedy enters the ring, and Noble stares at him angrily.

 

"Who the h*ll do you think you are interuppting Jamie Noble?"

 

Kennedy's arm shoots up and a microphone begins to lower.

 

"I..am..Misterrrrrrrrrrr...Kennedyyyyyy!...Kennedyyyy. And I couldn't sit in the back and listen to your run your mouth any more. I've watched Raw, ECW, and Smackdown every week while I was out and every week I saw you get your a*s kicked!" The crowd cheers. "You think you're going to make it to Wrestlemania? I strongly doubt it."

 

Noble smashes Kennedy in the head with the microphone. Kennedy falls to the mat.

 

"What the?"

 

Noble signals for the Referee to ring the bell.

 

Third Match: Jamie Noble vs. Mr. Kennedy

 

Match: Noble hooks the legs! 1! 2! Thr..! Wait; Kennedy kicks out! Noble looks around in frustration. He picks Kennedy up and tries to Irish Whip him into the corner. Kennedy blocks the Irish Whip and kicks Noble in the chest. Wait a second! Mic Check connects! 1! 2! 3! Kennedy wins!

 

Winner: Mr. Kennedy

 

"He did it! Mr. Kennedy just defeated Jamie Noble!"

 

"Even after a cheap shot, Jamie Noble can't seem to get a victory!"

 

"Another disappointing night for Jamie Noble, who just can't seem to pick up a win here!"

 

"Well, comin' up next, someone's gonna qualify for Money in the Bank when Brownlee takes on The Brian Kendrick!"

Kendrick received major heat entering the Smackdown arena. He danced around a little and walked down the ramp, looking at the Money in the Bank briefcase. He stepped into the ring and watched the stage as his opponent’s music hit.

Brownlee received a huge pop from the fans. Definitely the favorite to win tonight. He slid into the ring and confronted Brian Kendrick.

 

Match: The Brian Kendrick vs. Brownlee [Money in the Bank Qualifying Match]

 

Brownlee was fast, coming with a spinning wheel kick. Kendrick stood and took a flying forearm. Brian stood yet again and suffered a barrage of punches and head blows. Brownlee Irish whipped Kendrick into the corner. Brownlee went for a splash, but Kendrick pulls his legs up and kicks Brownlee in the face.

 

”There’s Brian Kendrick turning the tables on Brownlee.”

 

Kendrick then came with a dropsault and then followed it up with a standing leg drop. Brian went for the pin, but Brownlee kicked out, punching Brian in the face while doing so. Kendrick pulled Brownlee up and received to two punches and a kick into the ropes. Brownlee rebounded off the ropes at the opposite end of the ring, and then came at Kendrick. Kendrick quickly headlocked Brownlee and then hit The Kendrick for the qualification.

 

Winner: The Brian Kendrick

 

"Kendrick qualifies! This Money in the Bank is shaping up to be a great match!"

 

"With Kendrick qualified, that leaves two spots left."

 

Commercial break

 

"Welcome back to Smackdown! Now it's time for the moment we've all been waiting for! The Intercontinental Champion, Edge, goes one-on-one with the WWE Champion, CM Punk!"

 

"This one's gonna be big, J.R.! I can feel it!"

 

 

The WWE Champion enters the arena to a huge pop, sporting a pair of bright blue tights. The WWE Championship Belt around his waist shines in the light as he makes his way to the ring, high-fiving some fans along the way. He looks confident as he enters the ring and climbs to the top turnbuckle before removing the WWE Championship from around his waist and holding it up in the air.

 

"The WWE Champion looks confident as ever! This match may not seem that big, but it's pretty important for both CM Punk and Edge."

 

"True that, J.R. In just weeks, at Wrestlemania 25, Edge has to go one-on-one with Shane McMahon in a match where his wife's career will be on the line! And CM Punk doesn't have a Wrestlemania match yet, but it's only a matter of time before he gets one. This match will prove to be very important for both of these guys."

 

Edge theme

 

CM Punk steps down from the turnbuckle and turns his attention to Edge as The Rated-R Superstar enters the arena. Edge walks down the ramp, getting booed the whole time. He stops in the middle of the ramp and holds the Intercontinental Championship up in the air as a bunch of fireworks explode on the stage before making his way to the ring.

 

Main Event Match: CM Punk vs. Edge

 

Match: The two lock-up in the center of the ring as the bell rings, signifying the start of the contest. Punk quickly applies a Side Headlock, taking Edge down to one knee. Edge pushes Punk against the ropes. Punk bounces off the ropes and knees Edge, who is bent over, in the face. He bounces off the ropes again, but this time, Edge connects with a Big Boot.

 

"Wow! What a kick!"

 

"That one came out of nowhere!"

 

Edge picks Punk up and hits him with some Right Hands before Irish Whipping him into the corner. Edge hits Punk with an elbow. He goes for a Right Hand, but Punk ducks, and hits Edge with some Knife-Edge Chops. Edge pushes Punk back, but Punk runs up and hits Edge with a Charging High Knee Strike, followed by a Running Bulldog. Punk hooks the leg! 1! 2! Edge kicks out. Edge gets to his feet. Punk goes for a Suplex, but Edge counters into a Small Package. Punk gets the shoulder up at two. Edge goes for a Clothesline, but Punk ducks it. Edge turns around and Punk hits him with some Slaps to the face, followed by a kick to the side of the head. Edge falls straight to the mat. Punk looks around the arena, gets some cheers, then exits the ring to the ring apron. He waits for Edge to get up before leaping for a Springboard Bulldog. Edge connects with a Dropkick while Punk is in the air, though.

 

"Did you see that? Edge just nailed Punk with an impressive Dropkick!"

 

"That was one h*ll of a move, J.R.!"

 

Edge goes for the cover! 1! 2! Kick-out by the WWE Champion. Edge picks Punk up and Irish Whips him into the ropes. Punk bounces off the ropes and Edge hits him with a Flapjack. Edge goes to the corner and measures Punk for a Spear. He goes for a Spear, but Punk runs and connects with a Sunset Flip Pin!

 

"This is how CM Punk eliminated Edge from that Fatal-Four-Way! Can he get it again?"

 

1! 2! Edge kicks out!

 

"Edge got out of it that time! There's no way he's gonna lose to that move again!"

 

Edge goes for a Clothesline, but Punk connects with a Snap Scoop Powerslam! Into the cover! 1! 2! Kick-out again by Edge! Punk waits for Edge to get to his feet. Punk goes for the GTS! Edge slides off Punk's shoulders..pushes him into the ropes..Spear! Edge hits a Spear! Cover! 1! 2! 3!

 

Winner: Edge

 

"It's over! Edge wins!"

 

"Edge has just beaten the WWE Champion!"

 

Edge gets the Intercontinental Championship Belt from the Referee and holds it up in the air.

 

"There, ladies and gentlemen, is a great Intercontinental Champion."

 

"I don't like Edge, but I can't help but agree with you after that performance."

 

"Shane McMahon's gonna suffer the same fate at Wrestlemania!"

 

"We'll see about that! Good night, ladies and gentlemen, and thanks for watching! We'll see you next week, right here on MyNetworkTV!"

Toronto - Canada

 

-Axle Comuteza defeated Jamie Noble to qualify for Money in the Bank after an X-Factor.

 

-Chandler Emerald announced that next week on Raw Mike Knox and Snitsky would defend the WWE Tag Team Championships against a Mystery Team.

 

-The Miz defeated Ren after the Reality Check. Miz announced that next week he was going to qualify for Money in the Bank when he defeats his former Tag Team Partner, John Morrison, and Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat Match.

 

-Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) defeated Lord Smith after a Second-Rope Drive-By Kick. MVP issued a challenge to whoever wins the United States Championship Match scheduled for later in the night.

 

-Randy Orton called out Shawn Michaels, but got no reply. Devon Immortal came to the ring and told Orton that Michaels was not in the building. Orton turned on his now-former apprentice, striking Immortal with an RKO.

 

-Jeff Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio was announced for next week.

 

-Dustin Delta defeated Striker "Yank" Boyd and Finlay to become the WWE United States Champion after a Roll-Up Pin on Finlay. Delta was added to the match by Chandler Emerald before the match began.

 

-Todd Grisham interviewed Dustin Delta after the commercial break. Delta said that he would become the first superstar to hold the ECW Championship and the WWE United States Championship at the same time, but before that, he was going to defeat Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania 25.

 

-Kane & Batista defeated Randy Orton & Devon Immortal when Immortal walked out on Orton, allowing Kane to pin Orton after a Chokeslam.

This will be the last shortened episode for a while. Just a note, only six episodes remain until Wrestlemania 25.

 

I am posting Smackdown before ECW because I haven't finished ECW yet, and in this situation, nothing that happens on ECW, other than any WM25 Announcements, is important to this Smackdown. ECW will be posted tomorrow.

 

[spoiler=Smackdown - March 20, 2009]

Toronto - Canada

 

-The show opens with Edge. He says that he's glad to be back in his hometown. He actually get a decent pop from the crowd. He begins to cut a promo, but is interrupted by Vickie Guerrero. She says that she's disappointed that the Intercontinental Championship is more important to him than her career. He says that's not true, but she says that last week he mentioned her career like it was an afterthought. She tells Edge that he will go one-on-one with Triple H in the Main Event.

 

-Lord Smith, Shelton Benjamin, & The Brian Kendrick defeated Christian, Evan Bourne, & Ren in a Six-Man Tag Team Match when Smith got a Backslide Pin on Christian.

 

-The Great Khali defeated Jamie Noble in a matter of seconds after a Khali Chop.

 

-Mr. Kennedy told Vickie Guerrero that he wanted a shot at the WWE Championship. She told him that she wasn't in a good mood, and that he was going to face Umaga.

 

-Mr. Kennedy defeated Umaga after a Mic Check. The crowd was really behind Kennedy throughout the match.

 

-Rob Van Dam defeated Vladimir Kozlov in an Extreme Rules Match after a Five-Star Frog Splash.

 

-CM Punk came out and cut a promo. He says that he hasn't seen John Cena in weeks, and asks what exactly happened to Cena. Punk says he wants to finish things with Cena once and for all and challenges him to a match. Punk is attacked by Umaga, who was obviously angry from losing earlier in the night. Cena returns out of nowhere and makes the save, sending Umaga over the top rope with a Clothesline, and leaving the WWE Universe with more unanswered questions.

 

-Edge vs. Triple H ended in a No Contest when Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder interfered and attacked Triple H. Edge, Hawkins, and Ryder began to assault Triple H. Chavo Guerrero and Shane McMahon came to the ring and laid out Hawkins and Ryder while Edge retreated to the back. Vince McMahon came out and said that next week on Smackdown Edge, Hawkins, and Ryder would team up to take on Triple H, Chavo Guerrero, and his son Shane McMahon in a Six-Man Tag Team Match.

"Good evening everyone and welcome to another extreme edition of ECW!"

 

"It's great to be back here calling ECW, Matt."

 

"Yeah, well I'm glad to have you back, I guess. You're still annoying."

 

"We all know you respect me, Matt."

 

"I wouldn't go that far."

 

"Moving on, what a great show we have for you tonight! For the first time ever, the ECW Tag Team Championships will be defended when Tyson Kidd and D.H. Smith challenge John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler!"

 

Tyson Kidd & D.H. Smith vs. John Morrison & Dolph Ziggler [ECW Tag Team Championships] [Tonight]

 

"And that's not all! The new United States Champion, Dustin Delta, will hold a "celebration of his greatness". In other words, we'll hear from Delta later tonight."

"Matt, we're just three weeks away from Wrestlemania 25! I was told that General Manager Theodore Long has an announcement to make regarding the ECW Championship. We're going to hear from Thedore Long later on tonight as well."

"That should be interesting."

 

Big Show theme

 

The World's Largest Athlete enters the arena to get the show underway. He walks to the ring with a look on his face that would suggest he wants to knock somebody's lights out.

 

"That man, the Big Show, has been telling people that he is determined to take out Dustin Delta. Every time Big Show tries to challenge Delta, the US Champion refuses."

 

"You never mess with an angry giant, and that's pretty much the reason, in my opinion, that Dustin Delta has refused Big Show's challenges."

 

*Bell rings*

 

"This opening contest is set for one fall!"

 

Big Show enters the ring and stares at his opponent, who is standing across from him. His opponent is a newly-signed superstar by the name of Hunter Steel. He's a young man with spiked blonde hair, a red wrestling attire consisting of wrestling tights and a t-shirt. He's about six feet tall.

 

"I've heard great things about this kid, Todd. However, I think he chose a bad time to make his ECW Debut."

 

"I completely agree, Matt. I heard that Hunter Steel is actually a former karate expert. I say former because he no longer does karate. Although I think it's safe to assume that he's still an expert."

 

"People say that someone who's skilled in karate can take down someone much larger than him with ease. In this situation, though, I gotta disagree. Big Show will take anyone down with that Knockout Punch. And once you're hit with that giant right hand, it's game over."

 

First Match: Big Show vs. Hunter Steel

 

Match: We get things started with a lock-up of sorts. Show, in a display of sheer power, tosses Steel halfway across the ring. The newcomer gets to his feet and charges Big Show, nearly falling victim to a Clothesline, avoiding in the last second. Steel hits some swift kicks to the back of the right leg of the Big Show, actually taking The World's Largest Athlete down to one knee. Steel climbs backwards up the turnbuckle as Show gets to his feet. Steel leaps and connects with a Diving Kick, shades of former ECW Champion Rob Van Dam.

 

"Wow this could actually do it here!"

 

Hook of the leg..1! 2! Big Show kicks out and pushes Steel into the ropes. Show, looking angry, picks Steel up and drops him, neck-first, onto the ropes. Steel's neck, obviously, hits the ropes before he falls to the mat. Steel grasps his neck, which is likely in a great deal of pain.

 

"That's what I'm talking about. Even though Hunter Steel was able to get in a good deal of offense, one move from the Big Show did more damage to Hunter than all of Hunter's moves did to Big Show."

 

Show literally hurls Steel into the corner. He looks to his left for a moment before turning around and shaking the arena with a devastating smack, straight to the chest of Hunter Steel. Steel falls to the mat. Show picks him up and Irish Whips him into the opposite turnbuckle. Steel crashes into the turnbuckle and falls backwards to the mat. Show waits for the newcomer to get to his feet, which takes a minute, before connecting with a Chokeslam to earn the victory.

 

Winner: Big Show

 

"And that's all she wrote!"

 

"A valiant display of effort on behalf of Hunter Steel, but nowhere near enough to take out The Big Show. Nonetheless, I think Steel has what it takes to make it big in this industry."

 

"Still to come tonight, John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler put their ECW gold on the line against Tyson Kidd and D.H. Smith!"

The arena is quiet, for the most part, when the show returns. That all changes as Theodore Long's music hits and the ECW General Manager enters the arena. He walks to the ring, smiling. There is a clipboard in his hand, but it isn't possible to see what it says because he's holding it so it's facing him.

 

"Welcome back and speaking of welcome, what a warm welcome for Teddy Long!"

 

"Since coming to ECW, Teddy Long has really helped the brand improve! I mean, the current ECW Champion, Chris Jericho, has put on great match after great match for almost three months as the ECW Champion!"

 

"And we know that it was Shane McMahon who, months ago, talked to Teddy Long and decided to bring Chris Jericho and The Undertaker over to the brand. What a great decision that was."

 

"No doubt about it. Now, shut up so we can hear what our General Manager has to say."

 

Long enters the ring and gets a microphone. The fans in the arena are quiet, waiting anxiously to hear Theodore Long's major announcement.

 

"Can ya give me a Holla, Holla, Holla, playas?" The crowd shouts "Holla, Holla, Holla" as Long taunts inside the ring. "Now as I'm sure you saw earlier tonight, I am out here to make an announcement regarding da ECW Championship Match at Wrestlemania! Well, sort of. I'm out here to make one!" The fans cheer for a moment before quiting down. "Now, in less than three weeks, at Wrestlemania 25, the ECW Champion, Chris Jericho, will defend the ECW Championship in a.."

 

Jack Swagger theme

 

To the surprise of no one, the fans boo as The "All-American American" Jack Swagger enters the arena. There is a big grin on Swagger's face as he makes his way to the ring. He enters the ring, looks at Long for a moment, still smiling, and gets a microphone.

 

"Teddy..Teddy I.." Swagger puts his hand to his mouth for a moment before looking up, then returning his stare to Theodore Long.

 

"What is it that's so important you had to interrupt my big Wrestlemania Announcement?" The fans boo. "These people wanna hear my announcement, and I'm pretty sure they don't want to hear you talk right about now. Ya feel me playa?" Big pop from the crowd after that.

 

"I really don't care what any of these people want." Boos. "I care what I want, and you should too."

 

"Why's that?"

 

"Why? I'm Jack Swagger. I'm your biggest asset. I am the reason that this brand is as successful as it is."

 

"Oh really? You're the reason ECW's as good as it is?"

 

"Don't play stupid with me. You know full well that I'm the reason ECW is so successful. Over the past few months, ECW's ratings have increased drastically."

 

"That may be true, playa, but I don't think that has anything to do with you. As a matter of fact, the last time you stepped into the ring, you were defeated by the ECW Champion, Chris Jericho!" "Y2J" chants begin to fill the arena. "Now playa, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave my ring, because I have an announcement to make!"

 

Tommy Dreamer theme

 

Tommy Dreamer emerges on the stage to a huge ovation. Long and Swagger turn their attention toward the TitanTron with what some might call looks of surprise in their eyes. Dreamer makes his way to the ring, enters it, and gets a microphone.

 

"What the h*ll are you doing out here?" The fans boo again as Swagger stares at Dreamer, awaiting an answer.

 

"Dreamer" chants begin to fill the arena, as Tommy Dreamer glares at Swagger. "Let me start with this. Teddy, I do apologize for interruppting you. I had no intention of coming out here until Swagger decided to start running his mouth. Alright, several weeks ago I made an announcement that I would be retiring in June when my contract expires." The fans boo, showing their disapproval. "Unless I am able to become ECW Champion. And I've decided to capitalize on that opportunity. Teddy, I'm not out here to ask you to put me in a match with Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania. I'm out here to request that you put me in a match against Swagger. And if I win, then I go on to participate in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match!" The crowd goes wild.

 

"How cool would that be?"

 

"The Innovator of Violence competing in a Ladder Match at Wrestlemania? It doesn't get any better than that!"

 

"You know what, Dreamer? That's a great idea. If Jack Swagger here thinks he's the best on ECW, then let's let him prove it. Next week, Tommy Dreamer will go one-on-one with Jack Swagger in the final Money in the Bank Qualifying Match!" That statement receives a big pop from the crowd. "Now onto my announcement. At Wrestlemania 25, Chris Jericho will defend the ECW Championship against..The Undertaker!"

 

"What?!"

 

"Chris Jericho and The Undertaker at Wrestlemania?!"

 

"That's huge!"

 

Long's music hits and he exits the ring as Swagger and Dreamer stare each other down.

 

Commercial break

 

"Welcome back to ECW, and all I can say is..wow!"

 

"I know what you mean, Todd. That announcement from just moments ago might have just changed the foundation of ECW forever. For the first time ever, The Undertaker will compete in a match for the ECW Championship at Wrestlemania! Jericho and The Undertaker faced off two weeks ago on ECW for the ECW Championship, but Dustin Delta interrupted the match. That match was great, and one can only wonder how great their match at Wrestlemania will be!"

 

"This year's Wrestlemania is shaping up to be a big one!"

 

Kurt Angle vs. Dustin Delta

 

"After weeks of insults and such, the feud between Dustin Delta and Kurt Angle will come to a head when the two face-off for the first time ever at Wrestlemania!"

 

Lord Smith vs. Evan Bourne vs. Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) vs. Axle Comuteza vs. The Brian Kendrick vs. ? [Money in the Bank Ladder Match]

 

"And how 'bout this one? The annual Money in the Bank Ladder Match! Seven spots have been filled, and the final one will be filled next week on ECW when Jack Swagger battles Tommy Dreamer!"

 

"Every superstar that has won Money in the Bank has gone on to become a World Champion. It's likely that the same thing will happen this year! We'll have to wait and see what happens!"

 

Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker [ECW Championship]

 

"Just announced by ECW General Manager Theodore Long, Chris Jericho will defend the ECW Championship against The Undertaker!"

 

"The Undertaker has never lost a match at Wrestlemania. Will his legendary undefeated streak continue this year?"

John Morrison theme

 

We're back as John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler stand in the ring on opposite turnbuckles. They hold up their respective Title Belts.

 

"John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler have seen a lot of success as a Tag Team. After Morrison's partner, The Miz, was drafted to Raw, Morrison tried to find himself a new Tag Team Partner. It wasn't working out well at first, but then he started teaming up with Dolph Ziggler."

 

"Morrison and Ziggler defeated CM Punk and Kofi Kingston to become the World Tag Team Champions, but they lost the Championships to Booker T and The Hurricane. Once Theodore Long instituted the ECW Tag Team Championships, he put John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler in a match against their former rivals, Finlay and Slash, for the Titles. It was a hard-fought match, but Morrison and Ziggler managed to pick up the victory. Let's see if they can do the same tonight."

 

Tyson Kidd theme

 

Not much of a reaction from the crowd is given as Tyson Kidd and D.H. Smith enter the arena. They don't take their eyes off of their opponents as they walk to the ring.

 

"Now, you said both Tyson Kidd and D.H. Smith were trained in the Hart Dungeon?"

 

"That is correct. Both of these guys are incredible athletes, and no disrespect to Morrison and Ziggler, I have a feeling they're going to walk out of here tonight with the ECW Tag Team Championships."

 

Main Event Match: Tyson Kidd & D.H. Smith vs. John Morrison & Dolph Ziggler

 

Match: Tyson Kidd and Dolph Ziggler get in the ring to start what has the potential to be a great Main Event. Ziggler gets things going with a Right Hand, but Kidd ducks it and kicks Ziggler in the back of the knee, sweeping him to the floor. Kidd waits for Ziggler to get up and hits the young Champion with a Clothesline. Early cover by Kidd. 1..2..Ziggler rolls out of it. Kidd shifts to Ziggler's head and applies a Reverse Chinlock. Ziggler tries to separate Kidd's arms, so he can break the hold, but he is unable to. Kidd lets go and nails Ziggler with a swift kick to the back.

 

"What force behind that kick!"

 

"I could almost feel the pain Dolph Ziggler must be in right now."

 

Kidd hooks the legs, but Ziggler kicks out at two. Kidd drags Ziggler to his corner and makes a Tag to Smith. Kidd holds Ziggler's legs as Smith elevates himself over the ropes and hits a Crossbody on Ziggler. 1! 2! Ziggler gets his foot on the bottom rope! By this time, the fans begin to "rally" for Ziggler and Morrison, slowly beginning to dislike the team of Kidd and Smith.

 

"Tyson Kidd and D.H. Smith have been nothing but impressive tonight."

 

"It seems like they really know what they're doing in that ring."

 

Smith begins to taunt and the fans respond with boos. He picks Ziggler up and goes for a Suplex, but Ziggler amazingly lands on his feet, behind Smith. The fans cheer as Ziggler runs for a Tag, and gets it. Morrison comes in and quickly nails Smith with a Spinning Wheel Kick before taking Kidd off the apron with a Right Hand. Morrison turns around to see D.H. Smith standing behind him. He goes for a Superkick, but Smith ducks it. Smith Irish Whips Morrison into the ropes. Morrison bounces back..Powerslam! Smith drops Morrison with a Snap Powerslam. Cover by Smith! 1! 2! Ziggler makes the save!

 

"That move right there would have done it. D.H. Smith executes that Snap Powerslam with so much force and quickness. Truly impressive."

 

The fans boo as Smith picks up Morrison. He hits Morrison with a Right Hand and The Tuesday Night Delight crashes back to the mat. Smith begins to hit Morrison in the face with some Right Hands. The Referee orders Smith to get off of Morrison and begins talking to him. While the Referee is distracted with D.H. Smith, Kidd leaps over the ropes and goes for a Springboard Elbow.

 

"The Referee's distracted! Tyson Kidd is going for that Springboard Elbow!"

 

Morrison rolls out of the way before the move connects, and the crowd begins to cheer.

 

"No way! Morrison dodged it!"

 

Smith begins to run toward Morrison. Morrison leaps onto the ropes (not the turnbuckle), jumps, turning around, and nails Smith with a kick to the head! This'll do it! 1! 2! 3!

 

Winners: John Morrison & Dolph Ziggler

 

"They did it! John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler retained the Titles! I guess you were wrong, Matt!"

 

"I guess I was. Talk about an impressive match. Both teams put on a great show!"

 

"There's no arguing there, Matt."

 

Commercial break

 

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, the new WWE United States Champion, Dustin Delta!"

 

The crowd begins to boo.

 

 

The new Champion enters the arena. The United States Title is over his shoulder.

 

"Here comes a man that many would call opportunistic. He somehow got Chandler Emerald to put him into a United States Title match, and when he did get put into the match, he won."

 

"And Dustin Delta will be going one-on-one with Kurt Angle in less than three weeks at Wrestlemania 25. That should be a great match."

 

Delta enters the ring and gets a microphone. The fans boo him as he looks around the arena before fixing the Championship Belt so it wouldn't fall off of his shoulder.

 

"Thank you, thank you. I appreciate the warm welcome!" The crowd begins to boo louder than ever as the arrogant Delta smiles in the ring. "It is truly a great honor to stand here as your WWE United States Champion." The boos continue. "Actually, that's not completely true. I'm not honored to stand here and represent a bunch of low-life losers like yourselves. Each and every one of you boo me, not because you don't like me, but because you're jealous of me." "You suck" chants begin to fill the arena

 

"Jealous?"

 

"What's he talking about? I don't think Delta has done much that someone would be jealous of."

 

"Some of you are looking at me with that look of idiocy that is very common to all of you. Allow me to explain. I won the ECW Championship more quickly than anyone else in ECW history. I won the title nearly two months after my debut; a feat which I believe has never been accomplished. Now, I am the WWE United States Champion. Many people have asked me how I was able to earn myself that Title Shot. I'll tell you how. I went above Chandler Emerald's head to the WWE Board of Directors." The crowd boos. "When I informed Mr. Emerald that the Board of Directors had granted me permission to paricipate in the match, he had no choice but to make it official. Once I was in the match, I capitalized on the rivalry between Finlay and Striker Boyd. I used that rivalry to my advantage. The two of them were so focused on destroying each other that they didn't pay much attention to me. Well look where that got them. Now, I'm on top of the world. See, this Title is just a bonus." He holds up the Championship. "My time in the spotlight will begin when I defeat Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania 25. For the better part of a month Kurt Angle and I have had what some are calling a "rivalry". Kurt Angle and I have never faced each other. Not in Tag Team Matches, not in Singles Matches, not in anything. At Wrestlemania 25, our first match will be our last match. I am going to destroy Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania and injure him so badly that he will not want to return to the ring in fear of suffering a devastating fate again. The days of Dustin Delta being laughed at and thrown around are over. Because after Wrestlemania, I promise each and everyone of you, after Wrestlemania..I will be the most feared superstar in the entire industry."

 

Kurt Angle theme

 

The crowd goes wild as The Olmpyic Gold Medalist enters the arena. He looks around the arena as a series of fireworks explode across the stage. After the fireworks finish, he begins to walk down the ramp. He high-fives some fans while keeping his eyes fixed on Delta.

 

"Dustin Delta has talked the talk, but it's time to see if he can walk the walk!"

 

"The Olympic Gold Medalist looks nothing short of determined. These two might end up tearing each other apart tonight!"

 

Massive "Angle" chants begin to fill the arena as The Wrestling Machine enters the ring. He walks past Delta and toward the corner to get a microphone.

 

"Let's hear what Kurt has to say."

 

Suddenly, instead of getting a microphone, he turns around and Spears the h*ll out of Delta. He begins to hammer him with Right Hands to the face.

 

"All h*ll has broken loose! Kurt Angle is just hammering away at his

Wrestlemania opponent!"

 

"Dustin Delta has gone too far if you ask me!"

 

Delta pushes Angle off of him and rolls out of the ring. Angle tries to exit the ring but officials come down to the ring and separate the two. "Angle" chants fill the arena as Kurt gets a microphone.

 

"So Dustin! You wanna be the most feared superstar in the industry? That's what you want?! I'll give you that opportunity, then! I spoke to Theodore Long before coming out here, and he told me that our match will now be held under Extreme Rules!"

 

Delta's eyes widen a bit as Angle glares at him.

They will be shortened episodes, but I will be posting them all so that we can get started on Wrestlemania 25. I do apologize for going against what I said earlier about not having anymore shortened episodes for a while.

Austin - Texas

 

-Jeff Hardy defeated Rey Mysterio following a Swanton Bomb. After the match, Devon Immortal attacked Hardy and Mysterio, but Kane made the save. Kane hit Immortal with a Chokeslam before Mysterio and Hardy threw him out of the ring. That left Hardy, Mysterio, and Kane standing face-to-face in the ring. A brawl broke out with Kane getting the better of the three, laying both of them out with a Double Chokeslam.

 

-We're told that we'll hear from Randy Orton later on.

 

-We get a Recap of the Wrestlemania Matches so far.

-Cryme Tyme defeated Cody Rhodes and Manu after Shad hit an STO on Cody Rhodes. By winning the match, Cryme Tyme earned themselves a WWE Tag Team Championship Match at Wrestlemania.

 

 

-Lord Smith defeated Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) after a Dropsault in the first-round of a Four-Week Tournament that will continue past Wrestlemania. The winner of the Tournament will become the Number One Contender for the WWE United States Championship and will have a match for the Title at Backlash.

 

-We learn that the 2009 WWE Draft Lottery will take place 8 days after Wrestlemania, on April 13, 2009.

 

-Randy Orton called out Shawn Michaels once again. Michaels came to the ring and told Orton that he ruined his life. He said that his wife and his children left him, and that he has been alone for the past two weeks. Michaels says that he has nothing to lose, so why not accept Orton's challenge. Devon Immortal comes out and attacks Shawn Michaels from behind. Orton and Immortal assault Michaels for a few minutes until someone from the crowd jumps over the security barricade and enters the ring. He lays out Immortal with a Superkick and sends Orton retreating to the back.

 

-So Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton will face-off at Wrestlemania 25 in a No Holds Barred Match.

 

 

[spoiler=ECW - March 24, 2009]

Austin - Texas

 

-Dustin Delta defeated Ricky Ortiz in a Non-Title Match after a Delta Bomb. Delta cut another promo about how he was going to defeat Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania 25. He demonstrated his "extreme ability" by hitting another Delta Bomb on Ricky Ortiz. This time, though, it was through a Table.

 

-Matt Hardy defeated Tyson Tomko after a Twist of Fate.

 

-Theodore Long told Dustin Delta that the match between he and Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania would be, for the first time ever, a Two out of Three Falls Match. He said the Match-Types would be revealed next week, and that one of them would, obviously, be an Extreme Rules Match.

 

-Tyson Kidd defeated Dolph Ziggler after a Springboard Elbow Drop.

 

-Theodore Long told Ren that he respected him, and that he was a good athlete, but if he didn't win a match soon, he'd be released from the ECW Roster.

-Shelton Benjamin, Lord Smith, Jack Swagger, & The Brian Kendrick defeated Evan Bourne, Christian, Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP), & Axle Comutexa after Swagger hit Bourne with a Swagger Bomb.

 

-Carlito & Primo defeated Kylarnartia & Sammy Lee after Carlito hit Sammy Lee with a Backbreaker. By winning this match, Carlito & Primo have earned the right to compete for the World Tag Team Championships at Wrestlemania 25. Carlito did have a neck brace on during the match, and the announcers noted that while he was still injured, he should be fine to compete at Wrestlemania.

 

-CM Punk asked John Cena to come to the ring and explain his actions. Cena told Punk that he realizes the way he had acted was disrespectful, and that he lives for respect. Cena apologized to Punk and challenged him to a match at Wrestlemania 25 for the WWE Championship. Punk accepted the match and he and Cena shook hands. Punk did state, though, that even though he forgave Cena, he still wanted a chance at revenge.

 

-Mr. Kennedy defeated Vladimir Kozlov by Disqualification after Umaga interfered. Umaga and Kozlov began to assault Kennedy, until Rob Van Dam made the save, taking both men down with a steel chair.

Edge took out Chavo Guerrero with a steel chair while Hawkins and Ryder took out Triple H with a Kendo stick, leaving Shane McMahon in all alone. Edge pinned Shane McMahon after Spearing him through a table that was standing up in the corner.

-Shawn Michaels cut a promo. He apologized again to the fans for taking steroids, and he said that it really was the biggest mistake of his life. Then he said it was actually the second biggest mistake of his life. He said the biggest mistake of his life was not tearing Randy Orton apart weeks ago. He said not to worry, though, that he'd make up for it. The man that helped Shawn Michaels last week came out and revealed himself as Ace Diamond. He said that he's been a fan of Shawn Michaels all his life, and that he was signed to a contract about a month ago. He said that he made his WWE Debut early after he saw Michaels getting attacked. Diamond said that he would be in Shawn Michaels' corner at Wrestlemania. He shook hands with Shawn and said that regardless of what happened, he respects Michaels.

-Shelton Benjamin, Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP), Christian, & The Brian Kendrick defeated Jack Swagger, Lord Smith, Evan Bourne, & Axle Comuteza after Christian hit the Killswitch on Lord Smith.

-Mr. McMahon spoke to Triple H in the back. McMahon named Triple H the Special Guest Referee for the Edge vs. Shane McMahon match at Wrestlemania.

 

-Jack Swagger won a Battle Royal Match containing all eight participants in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. The last superstar to be eliminated was Evan Bourne.

 

-CM Punk & John Cena defeated Umaga & Vladimir Kozlov after Punk hit Kozlov with a GTS and Cena hit Umaga with an F-U. The moves were performed at the same time.
