This Friday on Smackdown:

 

As announced yesterday evening, "Degenerate" Christian will battle the "Chaotic Enigma" Jeff Hardy, The Great Khali, and Devon Immortal in a Fatal-Four-Way Match where the winner will earn the 29th Spot in the Royal Rumble.

 

That's not all, though. CM Punk and Kofi Kingston defend their World Tag Team Championships against the new Tag Team of John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler.

[spoiler=Smackdown - January 9, 2009]

 

Smackdown Opening

 

Jericho goes for a Codebreaker, but Delta hits him with a Left Hand. Delta runs toward Jericho and goes for a Hurracanrana-like move before locking in the Crucifix.

 

"Delta's got that Crucifix! Is this gonna be the end of the match?!"

 

"Jericho might have no way out of this!"

 

The fans begin to chant "Y2J" as Jericho cringes in pain from the Submission Hold. Jericho is brought to his knees from the pain, but he somehow manages to stand up and hit Delta with a Samoan Drop. The fans go wild again and Jericho locks in the Walls of Jericho in the middle of the ring. Delta crawls slowly toward the ropes, but Jericho pulls him back to the middle of the ring.

 

"Jericho's gonna win the ECW Championship!"

 

"Delta's seconds away from tapping!"

 

Delta turns over and pushes Jericho away with his legs, but Jericho re-applies the Walls of Jericho. Delta has no choice but to tap out.

 

Winner [and the new ECW Champion]: Chris Jericho

 

"Here is your winner and the new ECW Champion, Y2J, Chris Jericho!"

 

The referee gets the ECW Championship Belt and hands it to Jericho before raising Jericho's hand in the air.

 

"It a hard fought battle, Chris Jericho wins the ECW Championship for the first time in his career!"

 

"Things are gonna be great with Chris Jericho as the face of ECW!"

 

The celebration comes to an aprupt end when Devon Immortal comes in and begins to viciously assault Chris Jericho.

 

"What the?"

 

"Devon Immortal?"

 

Jericho begins to battle back, hitting Immortal with some Right Hands. The fans begin to boo as Randy Orton walks to the ring. Jericho looks at Orton, and Devon Immortal takes advantage of the distraction and hits Jericho with a Flipping Piledriver. Immortal holds Jericho in place for Orton to Punt him. Orton goes for a Punt, but Jericho manages to move out of the way, causing Orton to Punt Delta instead. Jericho drops Immortal with a Codebreaker seconds before dropping Orton with a Codebreaker. Jericho walks to the back while medics come out to check on Dustin Delta

 

Vince McMahon theme

 

"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another edition of Friday Night Smackdown! I'm Good Ol' J.R., Jim Ross, alongside Tazz, and we've got one h*ll of a show for you tonight!"

 

"That's right we do, and one of the reasons for that is the Main Event Match that was made earlier in the week!"

 

"Things are gonna be intense when Christian, Jeff Hardy, The Great Khali, and Devon Immortal battle in a Fatal-Four-Way Match to become the 29th entrant in the Royal Rumble!"

 

A Christian vs. Jeff Hardy vs. The Great Khali vs. Devon Immortal Match Card with the text Fatal-Four-Way Match and Winner enters the Royal Rumble at Number 29 on it appears on the TitanTron.

 

"That's for sure! And we're gettin' the show started with the Chairman of the Board himself, Mr. McMahon."

 

The fans boo McMahon as he struts to the ring with a smile on his face.

 

"I have a bad feeling about that smile on Mr. McMahon's face. Let's take a look at what happened last week on Smackdown between Mr. McMahon, the WWE Champion Triple H, and Christian."

 

"I'm sick of people not caring about my opinions, you know that?! It's like people try to take advantage of me! I try to make things go as smoothly as possible, but there's always degenerates like you that come out and make me look like a fool!"

 

The word "degenerates" starts a DX Chant throughout the arena as Mr. McMahon stares at Triple H with a disgusted look on his face.

 

"Woah Vince, Vince, chill out dude. Look, man, I dunno if it's that time of the month or something, but I didn't come out here to annoy you. I came out here to talk about the Championship Scramble."

 

"You think you're real funny, huh? You just prance around the WWE as if you own the place or something. Well you know what, you don't! I am the Chairman of the Board, and I make the rules around here! I am sick and tired of being disrespect and.."

 

Christian theme

 

The fans cheer and Vince's frustration intensifies as "Captain Charisma" makes his way to the ring, smiling and high-fiving fans as he walks down the ramp and to the ring.

 

Christian, like Triple H, gets a microphone.

 

"Hold on, hold on, wait. Vince, I couldn't help but come out here. Listen, no one is intending to disrespect you. When Hunter came out here, it's because he wanted to discuss the Championship Scramble. You see, Hunter and I had a conversation in the back, and there's something we'd like to ask of you."

 

"Oh really. That's why you came out here? I don't believe it and I don't care about it! I have already made up my mind regarding the Championship Scramble, and nothing you lowlifes say will change my mind! And since both of you think you're so cool by coming out here and disrespecting me, huh? Well allow me to show you what I think about your disrespect! Right here tonight, you, Christian, and you, Triple H, are going to team up to take on Montel Vontavious Porter and the Big Show!"

 

Triple H and Christian kind of smile as Mr. McMahon throws his microphone on the ground and exits the ring. The fans boo and chant "You Suck" as he walks to the back.

 

"The question on everybody's mind is, what does Mr. McMahon have in store for DX now? Last week, his attempts to make them pay for interrupting him failed miserably. I wonder what he's gonna do next."

 

"I have no idea, but I'm pretty sure Triple H and Christian won't make the mistake of interrupting Mr. McMahon again."

 

The fans boo as Mr. McMahon stands in the ring with a microphone.

 

"I demand that each and every one of you shut up and listen to me!"

 

The fans do the exact opposite, and begin to boo even louder. Some chant "You Suck".

 

"I have some things to adress tonight, but first, I'd like to introduce a man that will be out here to make sure that no one interrupts me."

 

The Brian Kendrick theme

 

The Faction member dances his way into the arena and taunts before dancing down the ramp and entering the ring.

 

"Let me get this straight. Mr. McMahon is going to have The Brian Kendrick make sure no one interrupts him?"

 

"It appears that way. Not one of his best ideas if you ask me."

 

"Please give a warm welcome to The Brian Kendrick!"

 

Kendrick smiles and the fans boo him.

 

"Now, just a warning. If anyone decides to interrupt me, Mr. Kendrick will deal with you personally. Alright, onto my first announcement. As many of you know, Rob Van Dam will be returning at the Royal Rumble!"

 

"RVD" chants begin to fill the arena as the fans cheer in excitement for the return of Mr. Monday Night.

 

"I have decided to let Rob Van Dam enter the Royal Rumble at Number Thirty!"

 

"Wow! That's a pretty big announcement! The Whole D*mn Show is returning at the Rumble and he'll be the Thirtieth Entrant!"

 

"I can't wait to see Rob Van Dam back here in the WWE!"

 

"I have been asked what my plans are for the Championship Scramble at the Royal Rumble. Now, allow me to explain. Obviously, the WWE Champion Triple H will be in the match as his title will be on the line. The rest of the entrants will be determined over the next two weeks. as superstars will participate in Qualifying Matches. Tonight, Edge will go one-on-one with R Truth, and next week, Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) will battle Festus, along with CM Punk going one-on-one with Ezekiel Jackson!"

 

 

The fans explode into an array of cheers as Goldberg emerges on the ramp and walks through his pyro. Mr. McMahon has a rather angry look on his face while The Brian Kendrick has a terrified look on his face.

 

"Dear lord! It's Goldberg! Look at Kendrick! He looks like he's seen a ghost!"

 

"What the h*ll is he doin' out here?! I don't think Mr. McMahon expected this at all, J.R.!"

 

"Goldberg" chants can be heard throughout the arena as the former World Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring. McMahon signals for Kendrick to attack Goldberg when he enters the ring, but Kendrick receives a Spear before he has a chance to do anything other than run toward Goldberg. The fans' cheers get even louder as Goldberg gets in Mr. McMahon's face before taking his microphone from him.

 

"So much for Kendrick being of any assistance!"

 

"It looks like that look of confidence has left the Chairman's face as well!"

 

"Mr. McMahon was about to announce the last Championship Scramble Qualifying Match, but Goldberg came out here before he had the chance to."

 

"Vince, before you announce that last match, allow me to remind you of something. I can break you in half effortlessly."

 

The fans continue to cheer and Vince gets an even more frieghtened look on his face.

 

"At New Year's Revolution, in my return match, I was screwed out of the WWE Championship by John Bradshaw Layfield and his goonies. Well now that JBL is out of action, I don't have to worry about that anymore. So I want you to do one of two things. You can either just put me in the Scramble Match, or you can put me in a Qualifying Match. Either way, I'm walking out of the Royal Rumble with the WWE Championship."

 

"Goldberg has not taken his eyes off of the Chairman for a second."

 

"If I was Mr. McMahon, I wouldn't hestitate to put Goldberg in the Scramble. Especially when he's standing two feet away from me."

 

Goldberg hands Vince the microphone so he can speak, and Vince nervously utters "You're in". The fans explode into cheers again as Goldberg exits the ring and Mr. McMahon just stands there, seemingly frozen.

 

"It's official! Goldberg is in the Championship Scramble! That leaves three spots, and all three of those spots are gonna be filled tonight!"

 

"Oh yeah, baby! But up next, CM Punk and Kofi Kingston defend the World Tag Team Championships against the newly formed team of John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler!"

 

A CM Punk & Kofi Kingston vs. John Morrison & Dolph Ziggler Match Card with the text World Tag Team Championships and Up Next on it appears on the TitanTron.

 

Commercial break

 

 

Kingston smiles as he walks onto the ramp and taunts for the fans as his fireworks go off.

 

"Welcome back to Smackdown, and we're about to witness Punk and Kingston's Second World Tag Team Championship Defense since joining Smackdown!"

 

"And we've learned that Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, and John Morrison will be in the Royal Rumble."

 

"This will be Ziggler and Kofi's first Royal Rumble Match."

 

 

The fans cheer as The Straightedge Superstar emerges on the ramp with his title belt held high.

 

"CM Punk is lookin' to go to the Royal Rumble with one Championship, and leave with two Championships. But in order to have that chance, he needs to beat Ezekiel Jackson next week."

 

John Morrison theme

 

Ziggler and Morrison emerge on the ramp with looks of confidence and arrogance on their faces. Morrison taunts as his hair moves in slow motion before they walk to the ring.

 

First Match: CM Punk & Kofi Kingston vs. John Morrison & Dolph Ziggler [World Tag Team Championship Match]

 

Match: Ziggler starts in the ring with Kingston as what's sure to be a high-flying, fast-paced battle gets underway. Kingston takes Ziggler down with a Spinning Wheel Kick followed by a Running Shoulder Block. Kingston bounces off the ropes and hits Ziggler with a Standing Leg Drop. Kingston goes for the cover, but to no avail as Ziggler kicks out at one. Kingston hits a Scoop Slam and looks to end the match early with Trouble in Paradise, but Ziggler dodges it and makes the Tag to Morrison. Morrison takes Kingston down with a Clothesline and applies a Side Headlock. Punk and the crowd attempt to give Kingston support so he can escape the hold. Kingston hits a Snapmare Toss followed by a Running Chop. Kingston goes for the cover, but Morrison kicks out. Both superstars Clothesline each other at the same time.

 

"What a move! Both of them need to make a Tag!"

 

"And saomethin' tells me the first one to make a Tag is gonna have the advantage!"

 

Kingston makes the Tag to Punk just seconds before Morrison makes the Tag to Ziggler. Punk takes down Ziggler with a Clothesline before going for the GTS. Ziggler counters and pushes Punk into the ropes. Ziggler goes for a Roll-Up Pin, but Punk kicks out at two. Morrison comes in the ring and attacks Punk, but Kingston comes in and takes Morrison down with a Spinning Head Kick. Punk, distracted by the fighting going on inside the ring, turns around and gets hit with a Running Inziguri by Ziggler, who pins Punk to win the match and the World Tag Team Championships for him and Morrison.

 

Winners [and the new World Tag Team Champions]: John Morrison & Dolph Ziggler

 

"Ziggler and Morrison win! Ziggler wins gold for the first time in his career!"

 

"Ziggler took advantage of the distraction and nailed Punk with an Inziguri. What a strategic move!"

 

Commercial break

 

R-Truth theme

 

The fans cheered as R-Truth came down to the ring, chanting his signature song. He walked down through the crowd, high fiving all the fans. He climbed over the security wall, and then slid into the ring. He dropped the microphone and danced around.

 

Edge theme

 

The fans cheered even louder as the Rated-R Superstar entered the arena. He taunted on stage, and fireworks went off all around him. He ran down the ramp with a confident look on his face. He jumped onto the ring, then stepped through the ropes. He climbed onto the turnbuckle and taunted. The fans went wild, and cameras went off around the stadium.

 

Match: R-Truth vs. Edge [CHAMPIONSHIP SCRAMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH]

 

R-Truth came running with a clothesline, but Edge ducked and turned it into a facebuster. Edge then stomped on Truth several times. R-Truth managed to stand, then kicked Edge in the skull. Edge stepped back, then came with a close distance Spear. He pinned R-Truth, who then utilized a rope break. Edge shook his head and ran to the other side of the ring. He taunted, and the fans went wild. Truth stood, only to receive a powerful Spear. Edge pinned Truth for the win.

 

Winner: Edge

 

”Edge made quick work of R-Truth! Now he’s challenging 4 other superstars for the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble!”

 

"What a great match and what a win for Edge, who is moving on to the Championship Scramble at the Royal Rumble!"

 

A Triple H vs. Goldberg vs. Edge vs. ? vs. ? Match Card appears on the TitanTron with the text Championship Scramble and WWE Championship appears on the TitanTron.

 

"Coming up next, the new ECW Champion Chris Jericho goes one-on-one with The All-American American, Jack Swagger!"

 

A Chris Jericho vs. Jack Swagger Match Card with the text Up Next appears on the TitanTron[/color].

 

Cryme Tyme theme

 

The fans cheer as the boys from Brooklyn drive into the arena in a White Pick-Up Truck.

 

"Raw's Cryme Tyme? What're they doing here? And what's the deal with the truck?"

 

J.R. laughs for a second before speaking.

 

"I'm not sure, but these fans seem to be happy about it."

 

JTG and Shad get out of the truck and JTG climbs in the back of the truck.

 

"Yoyoyoyoyoyooyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyo YO!"

 

The fans cheer like crazy.

 

"Yo we thought we'd come out here and pay a little visit to the Smackdown fans!"

 

Shad gets a microphone from the back of the truck.

 

"Yeah that's right! We're just drivin' around in this new ride we picked up."

 

"Why do I have the feeling that Cryme Tyme doesn't own that truck?"

 

"Probably because they don't, Tazz."

 

Randy Orton theme

 

Boos begin to fill the arena as the Legend Killer walks onto the stage with a furious look on his face.

 

"What the h*ll do you think you're doing?"

 

"I don't know what you're talkin' about. Do you know what he's talkin' about, Shad?"

 

Shad nods his head and smiles.

 

"Don't play stupid with me! That's my truck!"

 

The fans begin to cheer.

 

"It looks like Cryme Tyme has stolen Randy Orton's truck, Tazz!"

 

"Normally I'd be angry about somethin' like this, but after Orton's actions as of late, I can't help but find this hilarious."

 

"What truck? Oh! You mean this truck? Yo, check this out. We found this truck in the Parking Lot, man."

 

"Yeah, and we felt like goin' for a ride, so JTG hotwired it for us."

 

Orton's anger intensifies.

 

"If you don't give me back my truck right now I swear to god I'll.."

 

Chris Jericho theme

 

The crowd erupts into cheers as the ECW Champion emerges on the ramp and walks up behind Orton.

 

"Oh boy! I don't think Orton expected this at all! The man Orton tried to Punt in the head on ECW, Chris Jericho, is standing right behind him."

 

"I think Orton's gonna get what's coming to him!"

 

Orton hesitates before turning around. Jericho hits him with some right hands before throwing him off the ramp and into the back of the truck.

 

"Oh my god! Jericho just threw Orton off that ramp into the back of his own truck!"

 

Incredibly loud "Y2J" chants begin to fill the arena as Jericho smiles. Shad opens the passenger door of the truck and gets a can of paint out from the truck.

 

"Don't tell me Shad's gonna..!"

 

Shad pours the can of paint all over Orton, who tries to stand up, but slips.

 

"He did! Shad just poured that can of paint all over Orton!"

 

"Hey Shad, JTG, why don't you guys take out the trash?"

 

Jericho smiles as Shad and JTG get in the truck and drive out of the arena. They drive out into the parking lot and stop the truck in front of a dumpster before taking Orton out of the truck and literally throwing him into the dumpster, much to the delight of the fans.

 

"Orton's must be pretty down in the dumps today!"

 

"After watching him put three superstars out of action, I can't say I'm disappointed at what we just witnessed. Is Jericho still gonna wrestle Swagger, or?"

 

Chris Jericho was given a standing ovation as he dropped his microphone and walked toward the ring.

 

”It looks like he is gonna go ahead and wrestle Swagger!”

 

”This past Tuesday, Dustin Delta gave Jericho a fight, but in the end, Jericho broke the code and hacked into the ECW Championship!”

 

”And afterwards, Randy Orton accidentally punted Delta in the head!”

 

Jericho slid into the ring and stood on the turnbuckle. He held up his title, then flung it around his shoulder and stepped down from the turnbuckle.

 

Jack Swagger

 

The All American American entered the Smackdown arena, the fans spiting him. He grinned as he made his way down the ramp, but a grim look fell over him when he stepped into the squared circle. He prepared for his match as Jericho handed off the title.

 

Third Match: Chris Jericho vs. Jack Swagger

 

Swagger came forward with a clothesline. Jericho jumped back up and received a forearm smash from Jack. Jack went for an early cover, but Jericho kicked out at 1. Jericho hit a knee to the face, then a facebuster. He then stomped on Swagger’s arm repeatedly before locking in an armbar. Swagger broke it, then powerbomb’d Y2J into a pin, and Jericho kicked out at 2. Chris hit a dropkick, then jumped off the second rope and hit a cross-body splash. He then ran to the ropes and hit a Lionsault. He pinned Swagger, who kicked out at 2.

 

”Near falls going back and forth!”

 

Swagger stood, and Jericho went for another cross-body, but Swagger hit a backbreaker. Then Jack hit a standing elbow drop. Jericho stood, and Swagger had come running at him. Jericho ran to the ropes and came running at Jack. They both were running at eachother.

 

”This match just turned into a game of Chicken, JR!”

 

Jericho looked like he was going to chicken out, but he jumped and hit a Code Breaker and pinned Swagger for the victory over the All American American.

 

Winner: Chris Jericho

 

”That was certainly a close match to call! But Jericho just pulled out a win with a Code Breaker!”

 

”Jericho is a true extremist, JR! He deserves that title!”

 

Jericho headed to the back, his title around his waist.

 

"Not only did Jericho win his match, he got a measure of revenge on the Legend Killer!"

 

"If you ask me, I'd say this has been a pretty good night for Jericho!"

 

Commercial break

 

Dustin Delta sat in his locker room. He held a ice pack to his skull as he sat on a couch and watched Smackdown. There was a knock on his door.

 

“Come in.”

 

The RAW Diva, Layla El entered the room.

 

“What’s up, Layla?”

 

Layla sat down on a chair.

 

“I wanted to see if you were okay.”

 

“All I did was get a Code Breaker and a Punt to the head. Yeah, I’m fine. Now really, what do you want?”

 

Layla stood and pulled him up.

 

“Someone wants to see you. It’s very important.”

 

Delta looked at her, a compressed sense of confusion traced on his face. She held his hand and showed him the way as he limbed out of his locker room.

 

”Well, what was that about, Tazz?”

 

”I don’t know, JR, but as Layla said, it’s important.”

 

"Speaking of important, the WWE Champion Triple H has to overcome four other superstars if he wants to retain his WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. The Game's gonna try his best, we know that much, but the question is, can he retain the WWE Championship?"

 

"The Game's not one to worry about odds, J.R. Speaking of The Game, he's gonna be in action against The Brian Kendrick! And that match, is next!"

 

A Triple H vs. The Brian Kendrick TitanTron with the text Up Next on it appears on the TitanTron.

 

The Brian Kendrick theme

 

The Brian Kendrick danced into the Smackdown arena. He taunted on stage with a smirk grin on his face. He ran down the ramp and did a front flip in between the ropes. He landed on his feet in the ring, and he walked around, dizzy, as if he had a hangover. He requested a microphone.

 

“Cut my music! Hold on!”

 

The music stopped.

 

“Before you bring out The King of Kings..”

 

He said King of Kings mockingly.

 

“I’d like to say, he’s gonna lose in that Championship Scramble Match at Royal Rumble. Maybe I’m not in it, but I’m good enough to give Triple H an injury tonight, and he’s not gonna be defending that little championship of his. And his replacement? THE BRIAN..”

 

 

Kendrick turned to the stage as the fans get wild. Triple H stopped on the stage. He laughed and held a microphone in front of his mouth.

 

“Woah, don’t get ahead of yourself. You injuring me? That’s funnier that any parody DX has ever done!”

 

Triple H tossed the microphone down and came down the ramp. Kendrick glared at Triple H as he stepped into the ring. The Game stood on the turnbuckle and taunted as cameras flashes throughout the arena. He stepped down and prepared for his match.

 

Fourth Match: The Brian Kendrick vs. Triple H [No Disqualification for The Brian Kendrick Only]

 

Match: Kendrick came running and hit a forearm. Then hit a spinning dropkick. The Game staggered. Brian jumped up and hit to spinning back kicks, then followed it up with a pair of hooks. Then he finished the combination with a crescent kick. Kendrick danced around and quickly snuck out of the ring. He pulled a chair out from ringside.

 

”Brian Kendrick can’t be disqualified, but The Game can! That chair is legal for Kendrick!”

 

Kendrick slid into the ring and hit The Game with the chair. Triple H fell down. Kendrick pulled the King of Kings up and tossed him into the corner. He came running, and then hit Dr. Smooth’s Secret Recipe. He pinned The Game, who kicked out at 2. He pulled Triple H up, and tossed him into the ropes. He came running back, but Triple H hit a Spinebuster. Kendrick’s skull knocked into the chair. Triple H taunted. Kendrick stood and grabbed the chair. He held it sideways, then hit a low blow with it. The Game fell in intense pain. Brian stood on the turnbuckle. Triple H pulled himself up with the ropes. Kendrick jumped off, but The Game grabbed him in midair and hit a Pedigree. Immortal jumped out from the crowd and grabbed the WWE Championship. He slid into the ring. The King of Kings taunted, but Devon smacked him in the back of the head with the belt. Devon pulled Brian Kendrick up, who then hit The Kendrick to capture the victory.

 

Winner: The Brian Kendrick

 

”And the talented Brian Kendrick picks up a win over the WWE Champion!”

 

"What an upset! The Game was just screwed out of a victory by Devon Immortal!"

 

"Well, it was a No Disqualification Match, so it wasn't like any rules were broken."

 

"I guess you're right. Well folks, comin' up next, four superstars will battle it out to see who earns the Twenty-Ninth Spot in the Royal Rumble!"

 

A Christian vs. Jeff Hardy vs. The Great Khali vs. Devon Immortal Match Card with the text Fatal-Four-Way Match and Winner enters the Royal Rumble at Number 29 on it appears on the TitanTron.

On Sunday, January 25th, five men will engage in a battle for the WWE Championship! The WWE Championship Scramble! At the Royal Rumble! Live on Pay-Per-View January 25 at 8 PM!

 

A video plays on the screen.

 

The fans cheer like crazy after the video is shown.

 

"What in the world was that?"

 

"I'm not sure. Probably some kind of technical error. Well, we know in two weeks, Evan Bourne will make his return to the ring, and everyone is excited about that!"

 

"Tell me about it! You know what else I'm excited about?"

 

"What's that, Tazz?"

 

"This Main Event!"

 

Christian theme

 

Captain Charisma easily receives the most cheers of the night so far as he makes his way to the ring, high-fiving some fans along the way.

 

"Here is a man that has gotten on the bad side of Mr. McMahon, Christian."

 

"Imagine how angry Mr. McMahon would be if Christian won this match here tonight?"

 

"I don't even wanna think about it."

 

Jeff Hardy theme

 

The Chaotic Enigma receives a lot of cheers as well as he makes his way to the ring.

 

The Great Khali theme

 

The Punjabi Nightmare enters the arena with his manager, Renjin Singh, at his side. Khali high-fives some of the fans as he walks down the ramp.

 

Devon Immortal walks out onto the ramp with a microphone. His music doesn't play. He receives an incredible amount of boos from the crowd.

 

"Yeah, go ahead, boo me. The only reason you people boo me is because I am the best there is. I am the youngest World Champion in history. I am the most talented superstar in this business. I've beaten Batista, Rey Mysterio, and even John Cena. And you know what else? I'm going to win this match tonight, and go on to win the Royal Rumble and regain my World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 25."

 

He recieves a lot of boos as he drops his microphone and walks to the ring.

 

Main Event: Christian vs. Jeff Hardy vs. The Great Khali vs. Devon Immortal

 

Match: Immortal and Hardy begin to fight, as Christian and Khali stand in the corners and watch. Immortal hits Hardy with an Uppercut and some blows to the back. Immortal starts to assault Hardy, but Khali picks him up, holds him over his shoulders, and tosses him out of the ring. Christian tries to Clothesline Khali, but he gets hit with a Big Boot. Hardy goes to kick Khali, but Khali catches his foot. Hardy hits an Inziguri on Khali and takes him down to his knees. Hardy Dropkicks Khali in the face, causing him to fall down. Christian hits Hardy with some Right Hands, followed by a Suplex. Christian goes for the cover, but Hardy kicks out at two. Immortal comes in the ring and Clotheslines Christian in the back of the head before starting to attack Hardy again. Christian gets to his feet and Irish Whips Immortal into the corner. Christian hits Immortal with a Clothesline in the corner, followed by an Arm Toss. Immortal goes to hit Christian, but gets hit with a Big Boot from Khali. Christian picks up Immortal and drops him with an Unprettier. Hardy goes to the top rope and hits Immortal with a Swanton Bomb. Then, Christian and Hardy pick Immortal up and Khali hits him with a Punjabi Plunge before throwing him out of the ring.

 

"Thanks for coming, Devon!"

 

"These guys don't like Immortal, and they basically just took him out of the match."

 

Hardy and Christian hit Khali with some Right Hands, followed by a Double DDT. Hardy goes to the top rope to hit Khali with a Swanton Bomb, but Christian Dropkicks him in mid-air. Christian goes for the cover, but Hardy kicks out at two. Christian hits Khali, who gets to his feet, with some Right Hands, followed by an Elbow to the back of the head. Christian goes for the Unprettier, but Hardy Dropkicks him in the face. Hardy hits Khali with the Twist of Fate. Hardy goes to the top rope and hits Khali with a Swanton Bomb. With Christian down, Hardy covers Khali and wins the match.

 

Winner [and the 29th Entrant in the Royal Rumble Match]: Jeff Hardy

 

"Hardy did it! Hardy just pinned Khali!"

 

"So much for Devon Immortal winning the match!"

 

Suddenly, Lawrence Davidson, Vince's friend from the gym that was assaulted and knocked unconcious about a month ago, comes into the ring and assaults Hardy, literally destroying him before putting him on his shoulders like he was going for an FU, but sitting straight down. Christian tries to help Hardy, but Davidson catches him and hits him with the same move. Devon Immortal comes in the ring and begins to assault Hardy before picking him up and hitting him with a Flipping Piledriver.

 

"I don't know what's going on! That man is Mr. McMahon's friend, Lawrence Davidson, and he is just leaving carnage in the ring."

 

Khali gets up, but Davidson gets a chair and smashes him over the head with it.

 

Triple H

 

The fans stand on their feet and cheer as The King of Kings makes his way to the ring with a sledgehammer in his hand. Davidson runs out of the ring as The Game enters, but Immortal tries to Clothesline him. Immortal gets blasted in the chest with a sledgehammer, followed by a Pedigree, as Davidson makes his way up the ramp. The Game checks on Christian as he stares at Davidson.
