Dark
What the title says. Also, on GIMP, not Paint. Horrible, right? I tried.
Jappio
Ok the most obvious error, the borders. When dealing with any type of spriting, it is best to always stay cautious of things like borders. You need to be careful when finding sprites, and how you save and or copy them. If you do it wrong, you'll usually get a black box around the sprite, then as you take it away, you'll lose the border too. Another issue I have with your recolor is the color you chose. I don't like how the heads, body, and leaves are all the same pink type color. It doesn't make sense, nor does it look good. Yet if you thought it was horrible, why didn't you try to fix? Well that's all I have to say, hope I could have been some help.
moneypony
you probably can't read this because you ignored my =P(the weird thing is that it's because i gave him a neutral rep.)1.don't use GIMP,it's not very easy to sprite like that.2.how did the borders vanish?3.this could have been easily done by using colorize.4.to me,there is only 3 different shades. The coloring itself doesn't look terrible. The missing border really kills it.[first is a freebe]/

Zeroshot
First WTF are you talking about?Save a sprite to your file and click [spoiler=this] button I didn't think it was that hard.
Jappio
I really don't know how to say for you to fix it. I don't know GIMP, so I wouldn't be able to fix that problem. As far as Paint, I wish I could say. I tried like the three methods I know for inserting images (basic copy/paste, save and load, save and paste) All of them kept the black border. Normally the border thing isn't an issue for me, I got my sprites from Spriter's Resource, which they usually add a different than black colored background or outline. My guess with your problem with Tinypic is that you are saving the paint file with all the white. With paint you need to shrink the canvas before saving, so you don't have all that white. There's a little gray box in the bottom right corner of the white canvas on paint, click and drag that. Hope I understood your problems properly and was able to help them. Jappio
Well it is better, but I don't know by how much. You once again though did mostly just the same color, but this way it kind of works. The shades you used for the suction cups now make it look like those are bubbles, due to the color and shading on them. yet if they were bubbles, than the borders on a few is off, because bubbles wouldn't really have black borders ever. You kept the border though, which is a major plus. Try putting more than one type of color into a recolor in the future, at least that's what I suggest. Dark
Alright, I guess I could try that. I'll post my outcome whenever it is done.
