In other words, has the enviroment of the game changed so as to allow TIV to return? At worst, it makes every card in your hand a Smashing Ground, so keep that in mind. Discuss. I didn't know that. Tribe-Infecting Virus could come back for a format or two. I don't think it would be that big of a deal. A lot of Decks like Gladiator Beast and Lightsworn have a lot of different monster types, so Tribe wouldn't effect them as much as it would affect a Warrior Toolbox. I'm just giving an example (wipe out a field and pop out a Gold or Silva) No this thing would be better VS a deck like darkworld you know discard a card say fiend wipe out all your opponent's monsters. I'm also of divided opinion of this card. In some ways, it's like a free dump, and if you drop a dark monster, you can free a DaD from it's cage. However, considering this, it may not leave the ban list. With Zombie World to be released soon, this would see a lot of play I would think. You mean a Level 4 DARK monster that can destroy Stardust Dragon isn't that useful now? Since when? EDIT: Tribe-Infecting Virus should be limited for one or two formats. CrabHelmet Posted October 23, 2008 Report Share Posted October 23, 2008 This card would have virtually no effect if released, but last time I checked, Treeborn Frog isn't having a whole lot of effect right now either. Just because a card being legalized wouldn't instantly destroy our current terrible meta doesn't mean that that card deserves to be legal. That said, this is a borderline card. The fact that it kills Type decks isn't the only problem; Infinite Smashing Grounds on an infinitely splashable monster body with decent ATK is itself questionable. Chaos Sorcerer needs to stay banned. It's actually more powerful than ever now - I'd have thought that being a Level 6 that Special Summons itself and pays for itself had fairly obvious additional benefits that it never had access to bin the past. To anyone suggesting putting either of these cards at 1: What benefit does either provide at 1 that dilutes any problems that prevent it from being at 3?
