Prologue

No one could have ever envisioned it. It was imaginable. The day evil consumed the world was a dark day indeed. An invasion of chaos one might suggest. The ruler known only as Exxo has taken grasp over humanity, unleashing the creature of the Shadow Realm on the world.

Domino City, once home to the worlds greatest duelist now a hideout place for run aways that did not want to join Exxo's army.

In a dark ally way a young man walks slowly, calm yet alert. "I know your there." the guy stopped dead in his tracks, he snuck his right hand into the coat pocket of the torn and faded black jacket he wore.

Silents drifted through the air for a brief moment, the a trash can fell over. The guy in the black jacket pulled his hand out of his pocket to reveal a card. It was to dark to tell what card he held, but he seemed to know himself what the card was.

The guy looked long and hard into the darkness, he was trying to see something. The only question is, what was he looking for? "Found you. Reigeki!" the sky's clouded and a bright bolt of lighting stuck the ally way, the cry of a monster could be heard.

On a balcony with in the dark ally way which had been struck with lightning, another boy stood silently watching the guy in the black jacket. "He... He did it. He beat the stalker." The boy lowered the fire escape and climbed down to congratulate the guy in the black jacket.

The guy had placed his card swiftly back into his coat pocket. "Swordstalker's are starting to appear more and more in this area." The guy turned to the boy who had finally made it of the fire escape.

The boy was hesitant to approach the one who had slain the Swordstalker, but as he got closer he knew he might be safe... Or was he safe? "Thank you... Uh... Umm your--" The guy in the black jacket cut the boy off.

"My name is Troy. You shouldn't be in this area." Troy quickly turned away from the boy, fading away into the dark ally.

Troy finally made it out of the dark ally, unharmed. Then sound of motor cycles erupted from the streets and not a moment later a large gang of punk rock bikers appeared in front of Troy.

The leader of the group removed himself from his bike and walked over to Troy with a nasty smile on his face. "Well look what we have here. Troy the mighty slayer of monsters." The biker talked to Troy as if he knew him, but the expression on Troy's face suggested otherwise.

"What do you thugs want?" Troy was calm as ever, not showing an ounce of fear. He looked at the bikers for a second and realized they were duelist. "If it's a duel you want." Troy reached into his backpack and pulled out an old fashion duel disk. One that you would have used in Battle City.

The leader of the bike gang looked at the old duel disk as if he had never seen an old model like that before. "Wow... Ain't seen anything like that before. This'll be easy." The leader seemed confident but had no idea what he was in for.

Troy strapped on his duel disk and grabbed a deck of cards from his pocket, but not the one in which he pulled Reigeki from.

The bike leader put his hand in the air, and a moment later on of his men threw a duel disk at him. "Your funeral... remember that." The biker inserted his deck. "By the way the names, Alex." Alex drew 5 cards as did Troy.

Troy and Alex let a silent wind blow through the field before starting the game. "I'll go first." Troy drew his 6th card. "I summon Adhesive Beast!" Troy placed a card Face-down and ended his turn.

Alex was surprised by Troy's move due to the fact that Adhesive Beast had 0 ATK and 0 DEF. "This will be a cake walk if that's the best you can do." Alex looked through his hand with an evil smirk on his face. "Cyber Spear Dragon! You have no chance to stop this monster."
Cyber Spear Dragon] Attribute: WIND

Type: Machine

Level: 4

ATK/DEF: 2000/0

Effect: You cannot attack with any other monsters during the turn in which this card was Summoned.

Troy didn't seem worried about Alex's monster, in fact he was almost happy that Alex's monster was stronger. "Go ahead... attack." Troy was pushing Alex for the attack and sure enough it worked.

"ATTACK WITH CYBER SPEAR BURST!" Alex's monster came in for the attack, that's when Troy activated his monsters special effect. "What the--?" Alex's CSD was stuck in Troy's Adhesive Beast, unable to move.

Troy smiled as Alex tried to figure out what happened. "Guess you didn't know, Adhesive Beast's effect: When this card is selected as an attack target, immediately send both this card and the attacking monster to the Graveyard with apply damage.

The other bikers were surprised that Troy was able to block Alex's attack with such a simple monster. "This might be harder than I thought." Alex had a small trace of worry on his face, but he soon overcame this worry as he started to compose a new game plan. "I cant wait to unleash my new card on you. Parasite Dragon." Alex thought to himself as he ended his turn...

Chapter 1

Troy drew a card from his deck with swiftness, the sky was dark and shadows consumed the streets. The darkness was further enhanced by a lite fog. "I activate my Face-down,
Light Slayer Barrier] When you Summon a monster with "Light Slayer" in the card name your opponent must select and activate one of the following effects.

*If the Summoned monster is Level 4 or lower it can attack your opponent directly.

*The Summoned monster cannot be targeted by Trap Cards this turn.

. Alex had never seen the card before, he had never even heard of the name Light Slayer.

"Wha--what does that do?" Alex had a mixture of worry and confidence flowing through him, he wiped some of his dirty black hair from his face as he waited for Troy to reply.

Troy was unresponsive to Alex, he just smiled. "I summon
Light Slayer-Galdon] (DARK/Warrior/Level 4/ATK 1700/DEF 1550)

When this card damages your opponent's Life Points you can send this card to the Graveyard and Special Summon form your hand 1 "Light Slayer-Galdug.

. Okay so here's how this is going to work: since I summoned a monster with "Light Slayer" in the name you must select an effect from my Continues Spell Card, Light Slayer Barrier." Troy was more than ever confident in his ability to win. "So what's it gonna be?" Troy asked with a smirk.

Alex was faced with a tough decision of which effect would be less beneficial to Troy, but the problem was, both effects were in Troy's favor. "The first effect. (I'm going to be attacked directly anyway)." Alex inhaled deeply as he waited for Troy's attack.

"Your call--okay, GALDON ATTACK!" Galdon with no mercy charged towards Alex and swung his mighty sword through him, and although it was just a hologram... the damage not only came out of Alex's Life Points but his very life energy as well. Could this be a Shadow Game? "Arg! What the hell was that? I can feel the--agh pain."

Alex-2300

Troy-4000

Troy paid no attention to his opponent's comment, but yet a small part of him listened to what was said. "Is it possible?" Troy said under his breath. "I end my turn at that." Troy looked at Alex and saw he was in pain, but still denied the possibility of what the game had become.

Alex looked through his hand after drawing his card, his face scrunched up from the pain. "Feel like my head's going to crawl out of my face. Throbbing--so much PAIN." That's all Alex could think about, the pain. "I play a card Face-down, and--agh end my turn." Alex's gang was starting to worry about him.

"Hey are you okay? Maybe you should just quite and get some rest." The biker who spoke wore black shades, his eyes pale, and his outfit composed of black jean, and shirt, fingerless gloves, and military boots.

Alex looked back at his fellow gang member. "He's--agh on our territory AGH and I ain't gonna allow him to get away without a fight. Jack @ss thinks he's the best there is. He's wrong." Alex looked at Troy with fire in his eyes.

Troy looked up at the night sky, it wasn't night. The clouds were black, thick, the streets vanished in fog and shadows. Nothing in sight, just Troy, Alex, and his gang. "I--I can't believe it's happening." Troy kept pondering how the strangeness of the duel could have come about, but alas he had no answer.

Among Alex's gang was a hooded figure. Standing there... Just standing there in complete silence. It seems no one can see--but then again maybe only one can see. The hooded figure started to fade away, fading from existence.

"What was that?" Troy thought about what he had saw, the hooded figure. Was it real or just pure imagination? "My draw. I activate
Swords of Slaying Light] Activate only when you control a monster with "Light Slayer" in the card name. Half the ATK of all monsters on your field. This turn you can attack your opponent directly.

! "This will end the game! Now I summon
Light Slayer Magician] (DARK/Spellcaster/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 1200) Pay 2000 Life Points. Increase the ATK of all monsters on your field with an ATK of 800 or less by 1000 until the end of your turn.

.

Alex saw the ATK of Troy's Light Slayers rising and knew that the duel would be coming to a close. "No it can't end already--agh! It's to soon for it to end now!" Alex screamed at the top of his lungs, rage consuming his body.

Troy watched as his opponent realized defeat, a small amount of sympathy crossed his mind. "Galdon... finish the duel. Attack his life points twice." Without hesitation Troy's monster attacked with amazing fury, wiping out the rest of Alex's Life Points.

Troy-2000

"AAAAGGHHH!! MY HEAD IT'S GOING TO EXPLODE!!!" Alex cried out in terrifying pain, he held his head tight, he was balled up on the ground. Alex's game came to help him. One of them put Alex on his back, getting on their bikes the gang took off.

Troy stood alone with seemingly unlimited fear in his eyes. At that moment and that moment only the hooded figure faded in behind Troy but as the sky cleared and small rays of light fought to brake the clouds, the hooded figure was gone. "Shadow Game. It was a Shadow Game." Troy repeated to himself over and over. The chaos wasn't over. "Oh no!" Troy saw the shadow of a large creature pass overhead, he looked up and saw--"RED EYES BLACK DRAGON!?" The dragon was closing in on Troy...
