ragnarok1945
actually JP, no trap card is capable of working against a god card, but it can HELP it. You are right on how spell cards only affect it for 1 turn. Removing a god card from play counts as working against it, so that wouldn't have worked
El-Rrey
Uria appearing in the duel Kagemaru vs Jaden is too overpowered. Sometimes i think they should take the effects of cards from the anime like Cards of Safe Return's. LOL!
ragnarok1945
you know the Card of Safe Return/Revival Jam was the reason why Marik lost Slifer/Osiris to Atem. Plus if Revival jam actually worked the way in the anime they should have just said that it cannot be destroyed in battle to make it simpler. But they did for the sake of fitting the storyline. Azure
It saves them time having to draw the card. (In other words there lazy.)
ragnarok1945
what time saving in drawing? Sometimes they take WAY too long to draw a card

James Hitchen
I actually prefer it in the anime that they don't have text on the cards, because it adds an air of mystery to it's effect and forces the opponent to think on their feet, particularly with spell and trap cards. The show has a lot of cavalier continuity when it comes to how they know what the card does. As mentioned before, when Tea is trying to remember what waboku and maha vailo do, she gets no help from the cards. But in GX, when Jaden duels Bob Banter, he activates Ra 20 which deals direct damage depending on how many letters are in a card's text. (this link, about 1:10 in http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=GBbT5jsWY4o&feature=related ) All in all, very weird.
ragnarok1945
you know with not having text on their cards you might as well say since there's no text I can make up whatever effect I want
Saturn of Elemia
you know with not having text on their cards you might as well say since there's no text I can make up whatever effect I want That would explain the (vast) deviations between effects in the anime and in the OCG/TCG. Without text, everybody also must've gotten the idea that they can Normal Summon in face-up Defense Position... =P
