5Ds Japanese/Sub/Manga Official Discussion Thread

....Janime.

I was almost in tears when Bommer died, just because it was such a tragic end for him. Well, at least the children of the village are safe.

I was actually kind of waiting for when we would get the hint that the Jibakushin have more control over the Dark Signer, which gives a good reason for why Carly would want to fight Jack.

I liked Crow's new Synchro, just because it had an freakin' samurai sword.

And yes, next week will be obvious. From what it looks like, Jack and Crow were the first to leave Team Satisfaction, so that obviously made Kiryu "unsatisfied", and Yusei just had to be the one to send Kiryu spiraling into insanity.

[/quote']

Lies, Bommer is more important than Crow.

Where is Nitton? I'd seriously expect a huge post about Bommer from him or something.

Poor Bommer. He was one of my favorites.

The preview for the next episode looks awesome. We'll (hopefully) be able to see what exactly tore Team Satisfaction apart.

Serious opinion: Maybe they lost a duel or something and started passing blame, letting their pride blind them
Ice Cream

Kiryu: All right, guys! We won another duel. Let's celebrate with ice cream.

Crow: Nothing says victory like Chocolate ice cream!

Jack: Dude, we're not getting chocolate. Vanilla is much better!

Yusei: I'm the best duelist in this group and I say we're getting Strawberry.

Kiryu: Guys, let's just get Neopolitan...

Crow: NO WAY! I don't want Jack's Vanilla touching my Chocolate!

Jack: .....Racist.

Yusei: WTF?

Kiryu: Seriously, it's not that big a deal...

Jack: I'm not staying on a team with a racist...

Crow: ...and I'm not staying on a team with an idiot!

(Both walk off)

Yusei: ......so, are we still getting ice cream?

I'm down here.

53 told us one important thing. That it is possible to break free of the Dark Signer's grip and return to normality. Bommer did this briefly, as evidenced by his eyes, before he became a Voice of Chacu Challhua.

Bommer's death - second, even though it applies to the first as well - was incredibly epic. Right now, Demak's death beats it, but that's just because we have the subs to that. "Glory to the Dark Signers!" and then Rudger's teary words... epic."

It's sad Prism doesn't sub anymore; we could've gotten a few hints from early subs.

Oh, and Crow pulled a Black Feather out of his ass. And I still don't see why Chacu Challhua becomes less immune to traps if they are on Bommer's side of the field.
Episode 56: The 17-Year Old Vow: The Destiny Guided by Momentum

After defeating Kiryu, Yusei goes to the Old Momentum Plant to face the boss of the Dark Signers, Rudger, in order to request a duel.

Episode 57: Darkness of the Heart, The Last Hope That Remains

Yusei is pushed into a corner and, as a parting gift, learns from Rudger of the unfortunate event that happened between the Dark Signer and Yusei's father, Professor Fudo.

Proof please? We haven't even gotten to Aki vs. Misty or the Retribution Duel (Jack vs. Carly) yet.

You're talking to me? If you are' date=' then I got it from Janime. You should've known it, Arcadia. I'll dig more information regarding those from there.
Yusei, wanting to erase the misunderstanding that sprouted during the time when they were Team Satisfaction and save Kiryu, duels to the death with him. However, Kiryu laughs at Yusei and summons his Earthbound God Ccapac Apu. Yusei uses Stardust Dragon in retaliation. Yusei and Kiryu's duel proceeds with the two fighting on par with one another.
Bommer died!!! But he's one of my favourite secondary chars...but at least he have peace of mind now

So Godwin didn't cause the village's destruction, but with Akutsu's mentioning...it's most likely they did the experiment but failed. Then the Earthbound Gods took them all away as sacrifices

So this also proves that non-Signers can defeat Dark Signers...but Bommer is the extra guy in this

But who's that froce that controlled Bommer? The Earthbound God itself...
So far, apart from Rudger being related to Rex, this is the only thing my DBD theory has got correct so far. As evidenced by Bommer's and Demak's ways of death - the falling apart into dust and dark fogs and all - the Dark Signers are evidently not in full control of themselves. They are mere tools to the Jibakushin, tools with memories and feelings, but without a will of their own.

The name I had given to the evolved status that Bommer was in, when he's directly controlled by his Jibakushin, was a Voice. Short version, Bommer became the Voice of Chacu Challhua and was therefore directly controlled by his Jibakushin.
