evilfusion
Well, yeah, but that's why you should watch the subs: so you understand the situation. If you just take the unsubbed at face value, you wont understand much. Although the speculation is always fun.
Merci
I think Clustering Wishes is actually supposed to affect any one Synchro monster.

Merci
I meant the 'Shooting Star Dragon' part. . . . I like the memorial to Z-one's friends.
evilfusion
I'm pretty sure it specifically states "Shooting Star Dragon", too. According to the TCG topic, anyway.
Vector Nightmare
Even without the subs, it's really easy to understand exactly what is going on. Yugioh isn't rocket science, it's basically just Yusei placing his face on his D-Wheel and rolling it until all his opponents drop dead somehow. The duel was full of situational one-time cards, stupid bad strategies, and super-god draws. It felt ridiculously detached from anything else that had happened in this series so far. It was like Yusei just pulled a bunch of cards out of nowhere with blank effects, put them in his deck, and as the duel went on he just started making up effects to suit the situation. While ZONE just basically added Time Machine Gods at will from his deck to his hand instead of drawing.
Merci
*Shrugs* It's a children's card game's show. Ordinary duels would be boring.

Can't deny that the duel was a bit more BS than usual, although for the most part, I liked the duel. I do get the feeling the writers wanted to give ZONE an unfairly massive advantage and so had to give Yusei a chance to even the field or defend against effects that powerful. I'd say the worst moment was when Yusei used his Trap to draw 5. He got 4 never before seen monster cards, all of which could activate from his hand, two of which were near-perfect counters for the effects of the TMGs. And then Sephion was anticlimactic. The regular Temporal Machine Gods were better than that thing, aside from raw ATK power.
Merci
Precisely why Z-one didn't focus on using Sephiron in the first place.
evilfusion
Well, and Sephiron needs all 10 Temporal Machine Gods to have been Summoned. Really, Sephiron strikes me as a "If by some miracle they survived this long, finish them off with massive overkill". Considering you can bring out 4 other Temporal Machines each with 4000 ATK, you essentially can do up to 36000 damage in one turn (Sephrion's 20,000, plus the 4000 of the other 4). Sunshine Jesse
You know, they could've just had Yusei run Battle Fader. Would've made everything SOOOOO much less contrived >_>but nope.

That's Jack's card. They never made 1 character using cards from another unless it's a staple like pot of greed.
evilfusion
But that's Jack's card! Yusei can't use that unless it's explicitly given to him or stolen.

Vector Nightmare
They could have made Yusei use some actual strategy rather than pointlessly use a lot of situational / broken one-time cards to summon Synchro monsters that were USELESS to him, and then have to top like five monsters that were all one by one exactly what he needed to work the current situation, instead of, you know, having him use his ordinary cards, which would make for a much better and more believable duel. And when the battle was brought to its final stage, THEN it would be much more awesome to have him summon a bunch of Synchro monsters fast, rather than bring them all back with a stupid Speed Spell. And Shooting Quasar should have been much more. Same with Time Machine Gods. Also the Time Machine Gods other than the first were given no individuality, most of them were just stupid burn damage or rehashed effects, each of them should have had an original effect that had to do with moving cards from one pile to the other. The way it was all played out was stupid, and contrived, and anti-climactic, and boring, and stupid. Yes, it was stupid twice. I still liked it though =(

evilfusion
Well, I figured the Temporal Machine Gods all had to do with controlling some aspect of the duel, and compensating for having 0 ATK. It wasn't until ZONE brought out more than one at a time it was clear that they really are all over the place.
Phantom Roxas
Sephiron was a very unimpressive final boss monster. Why is it that final boss monsters are don't look all that special? Sephiron was just gold and purple with a giant pope hat. Even though the duel was contrived as all hell, I still liked it. I also like how the opening doubled as the recap. When Yusei was heading to the center of the Arc Cradle, did anyone think of Star Fox 64? I certainly did.

wiithepeople
But this time ZONE (Andross) helped Star Fox ;) Maybe even a bit like Wolf: Yusei: I'm going to sacrifice myself to save the world! ZONE: Can't let you do that Starfox!

EDIT: As much as Jack should win just 4tehlulz, the two of them are on completely different levels now. Jack needed help from the twins just to beat Aporia. Jose OTK'd him. Yusei summoned a monster with 23000 ATK. When Sephiron appeared with 20000 ATK, I was hoping Yusei would somehow summon Junk Warrior and swarm with Level 2 monsters that would boost its ATK above Sephiron. Jack WANTED to face Aporia alone, although it was more because the twins, as children, shouldn't be risking their livess. He was getting screwed over because of Rua's move. Jose doesn't count, and it's not fair to call it an OTK. Jack had 1100 LP when their duel started, and took almost 8000 damage. Jack did mess up not using Trust Guardian's effect, though, since Grannel wouldn't negate that. Jack was the first person to offer Yusei a card, and I'm convinced that no one else would have done it if Jack hadn't given them the idea. Without those cards, Yusei would have been completely and utterly screwed.
