There were Yugi and Arcana have a Dark Magician each. The Rare Hunter had 3 of each Exodia piece. Rua has 2 Magnens. Some filler dude in GX had 3 Slash Draws.

Multiples DO appear, but I just think tournaments are highlander format in the YGO universe.

A better example for the Dark Magician thing is that Arkana was shown to have at least 2 Dark Magicians. The fact that there were two different arts for Dark Magician excuses the fact that multiple Dark Magicians exist, but not the fact that Arkana had two of the alternate art Dark Magicians.

To be accurate, Seeker's Exodia cards were fake in the Japanese. Maybe Yugi's set that was thrown off the ocean was the only set.

Rua hasn't used that attack lock in forever.

For some reason, Lucien Grimley recovered the Slash Draw from his Graveyard even though he drew another one by the last one's effect and should have had it in his hand, unless he was forced to discard it or it was destroyed while it was on his field or something.

Don't forget that Marik-controlled joey had three Hinotamas.

I wouldn't believe that tournaments are highlander. Even Kaiba, one who duels "with honor and respect", uses three Blue-Eyes White Dragons. I think they probably only make a lot of only a few cards (Polymerization, Monster Reborn, Pot of Greed, etc.) and all the other cards are really tough to find and the characters figure that trying to get specific cards isn't worth it. Kaiba was willing to spend a lot of money to get the three Blue-Eyes White Dragons, but that's only because he has a special bond with the Blue-Eyes; didn't bother to look for better cards for his deck. It's the only explanation I can figure for why it's mostly highlander other than the fact that the writers can make the characters draw whatever card they want and therefore consistency is out the window. It also allows for the characters to fit many filler 'tech' cards into a deck.

Now one thing I don't get is why the Signer dragons have card-specific support cards. I mean, there are only 1 of each, so why make Thorn of Malice, Blue Rose Dragon, that awful counter trap that lets you redirect damage to your opponent doubled if you control RDA, etc.?

There are only multiples of Yugioh Cards in the yugimonz universe when:

1. The situation calls for it (ie: jaden can't be the only person in Yugioh to be allowed to fusion summon... maybe thats why they made Synchro Summoning? o___o).

2. The combo can only be achieved with multiples of the same cards (HURR HURR, BLEW-EYES ULTIMATUH DURRRAGUN!).

what I want to know is what kind of destruction effect ( if it has one ) does this thing have. RDA, BRD, and AFD all have destruction effects. I think the only reason BFD doesn't is that it wasn't in the original 5 signer dragons. For some readon I fear this may be the only time Rua actually ever uses LFD.

True...even Stardust Dragon has a Destruction effect

I'm thinking along the lines of Astro Dude, Rua is the reason Ruka and Jack's Life Points are so low, so naturally and with the word "stream" he should increase them? Maybe the effect is "Destroy any number of face-up monstrs on the field, the owner of the destroyed monsters gains Life Points equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster?

I don't know if this has any meaning but...

Stardust : negation then destroy

Red Daemon : Destroy monsters

Ancient Fairy : Destroy Field Spell

Black Rose : Destroy everything

Life Stream: Destroy backrow?

Stardust protects, Red Daemon goes for monsters, Ancient Fairy goes for Field, Black Rose just destroys everything, and maybe Life Stream goes for backrow?

It would connect/relate AFD and LSD because they would (assumingly) destroy Spells/Traps and gain LP. It seems fitting that since Rua and Ruka are related that their dragons be related in some way...

i already knew that, i was saying when it was coming out in the card game.

So how is it going to come out? Level 1 Tuner + Power Tool Dragon?

i'd think if it was a signer dragon it would have to be generic, though maybe that way could be the way it comes out in the anime, if it came out IRL, i'd like it to be generic.

SSS you may have to wait for VJump's next issue for something on release, you may get something before then though.

[spoiler=142]- Rua got the paw birthmark as seen on Crimson Dragon mark in WC09

- Rua Lv 1 Tuner saved him from death when his LP hit zero. It was a roulette and he landed on the right part to bring his lifepoints to 100. Rua's lifepoints loss also dragged down Ruka's.

- Rua uses Aporia's field spell for his advantage
