I liked how they tied in the seemingly random subplot. I also like how the Jibakushin are suddenly important again. Although it was a little funky how they built a shrine to "appease them" after they rocked the Signers' world back in season 1. Water under the bridge, apparently. Or more like, they had no other choice. Is Jack getting worse at driving his motorcycle? Because last time he took 3000 damage in the face, he at least managed to hold on somehow. But we all know he's gonna blame it on the bad, bad flaming demon hanging around... and then flaunt his MASSIVE EGO DRAGON in people's faces. And being jabroni-slapped so hard by a kid... even by a CRIMSON DEVIL POSSESSED kid... I know they're setting him up for some huge character redemption, but christ, give the guy some dignity. After being humiliated by Andre and winning the not-so-much a duel against that German guy, now this? I miss the awesome season 1 Jack. The biggest question right now is how they'll tie the whole evil spirit hanging around Nazca thing with the God throws meteors down on your face Accel Synchro story.

I like how they pretty much ignore and/or rip on placido the entire time he's "dead."

Can robots die? I mean' date=' The Terminator was pretty damn hard to kill.

[/quote']

True.

The only thing I'm wondering, is why no one tried shooting Jose, Placido, and Luciano with water guns. Could work.

That's so stupid it's bound to work.

Ok, Water Gun Totodile!

Can't we use a Mudkip instead?

Maybe Squirtle, Piplup, or the 5th gen Water Starter too.

What's wrong with a regular squirt gun?

I just watched 111 subebd and when one question

Why does Bommer still have his Dark Signer Memories and Carly and Kiryu don't?

Kiryu had them.

And we haven't seen Demak or Misty yet. We know have been told the Rudger brothers are gone.

Why Bommer still has his memories I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with Yusei: Bommer and Kiryu both wanted to get revenge on Yusei (well, in Bommer's case, Rudger told Bommer to).

Your theorems are awesome.

I try.

Also' date=' did anyone else notice what geoglyphs JACK and Yusei drove between when they first showed up? Bro-powah!

[/quote'][spoiler=It makes no sense, though.]1Nazca_lines_map.gif

Altough they do appear close to eachothers, I think that there should be a bigger space between them + there's another line between them not marked out in the episode.[/QQing]

JACK is so awesome that he has 3 ARMS!

YGO5D111error.jpg

2 arm Atlus Punch next episode plz

Fix'd. I don't think he punches with the arms on both sides of his body, but he would get a double punch in.

But, man, I love how the Yugioh producers make random errors (Tristan being black, Jack not having his bandages on, Phantom Beast Wild-Horn having only 700 ATK, apparently Paradox's hair goes through his chest in one scene of the movie, apparently Yugi or Yami Yugi has no mouth in one scene of the movie, etc.).

That dosen't make sense. the people who were dark signers shouldn't have ANY memory of it, or any memory of the events leading up to it, yet Boomer still remembers.

As I said, Yusei was involved with both Yusei and Kiryu's lives in some way. Yusei never really knew Carly (did he even meet her?).

I also notice how Yusei seems to have the incredible power to read people's hearts and change them. The Yusei particles have been said to read a person's heart as well.

Also, how did that container Yusei was placed in when he was a baby protect him from the Zero Reverse and send him to Satellite? Was it a transport system? Would it really move him that fast to escape the blast?

My theory is that Yusei didn't escape Zero Reverse unaffected and has some kind of powers from the Yusei particles inside him, giving him the ability to see into a person's heart (like he usually seems to do, getting people to talk) and to get them to look inside their own heart. So, when he saw Kiryu and Bommer dying, his Yusei power made it so they would always remember those memories.

Complete bullcrap? Yep. Did I take only 3 seconds to make that theory? Yep. Do i really believe it? No, but it was funny to create.

So how about we get to a theory that makes sense?

Men tend to be more prominent in yugioh and therefore get more plot devices. This "more male importance" might also explain why the female signers' signer dragons are Level 7 while the male signers' signer dragons are Level 8.

Yusei met Carly in 5d's episode 28. She wanted to interview him but it was cut short.

Really? *flaahback* Oh yeah, that was the second episode with Dick Pitt. But Yusei really didn't talk to her, he left her with Dick and ran, right? She didn't really cause any trouble or talk personally or anything like that.

Carly doesn't have her memories because, not counting the Goodwin bros, she was the only Dark Signer who didn't have a grudge of some sort against a signer.

Demak- hated Ruka because she was the only 1 who could save AFD.

Misty- thought Aki killed her brother.

Bommer- wanted revenge on Yusei for stopping him from trying to kill Goodwin.

Kiryu- hated Yusei because he found out Yusei turned him in.

Misty needs/needed her memories to know Divine killed her brother, not Aki.

Bommer needs his memories to know that Goodwin didn't destroy his siblings, they were trapped inside a giant purple whale.

Demak needs/needed his memories for unkown reasons, since we don't know how he became a dark signer. ( Umbra is probally right or really close IMO. )

Kiryu needs his memories for obvious reasons.

so since Carly didn't have any hate towards a signer, she didn't need her memories of being a dark signer.

Demak didn't hate Ruka, indeed during their duel he actually demonstrated his respect for her and her ability to claim Ancient Fairy by screwing the rules.

I do think there's something fishy about Bommer. But Yu-Gi-Oh! tends to have its villains straight-up and unlikeable instead of going for the fancy twists. So while I believe he'll be the good guy he appears to be in the end, I hope for something behind-the-scenes there. Especially with the whole altar for the Earthbounds etc.

Moving onto more immediate matters... Jack's getting gimped again, getting his Accel Synchro versus a goddamn torch.

I think that Carly lost her memories for an entirely different reason.

Remember how Kiryu was around Crashtown? Moody, angry, sad, a hollow shell. Why? Guilt. Guilt from his actions. He tried to kill his best friend. It took some serious time with Yusei to get him out of his funk.

Now, what did Carly do? She KILLED someone. She outright went and did the deed. (Granted it was Divine, but that's beside the point.) I think the only reason that Carly doesn't remember that she was a Dark Signer is simple denial. She doesn't want to remember killing, and dueling Jack, etc etc. If she does, it'll cause her to have a nervous breakdown, and then who knows what'll happen?

Alternate theory: D-Carly is actually a "defense mechanism" that stems from dissociative personality disorder. Carly doesn't remember simply because that's what DPD does: Neither personality remembers what the other has done.

Once again, this took about 25 seconds to think up, so feel free to poke holes.

Carly didn't kill Divine. Misty did, or more precisely Ccarayhua.

I think you're looking too much into this. Carly has an almost purely comic relief role in season 2, so giving her back their memories in order to darken her personality would serve no real plot purpose. So they just kept her as she was. They might exploit that stuff later in a Jack-related plot thread *crosses fingers*

But if you really want to theorycraft like there's no tomorrow, here's food for thought: Carly was the only one who suppressed her Earthbound God. All the others, even against their wills, were forced to fight to the fullest, and were ultimately defeated by their opponents. Carly was about to enact a draw with Jack, but suicided herself into his dragon. Maybe as she was the only one to truly surpass her darkness and beat down the God's impulse, she was "rewarded" with the memory loss of those events.

Well I'm getting bored of the anime now to be honest' date=' I'll grab the episodes, but I can't be bothered to watch it, infact I'm more excited to the next ep of DTB Gaiden OVA, than even a JACK duel...

NO. YOU TRAITOR. Trust me, the remainder of this season will be EPIC!
