First Recolour in Ages

I didn't want this to be super epic but I need it for an RP coming sometime in the near future. So I bring you :

 

Spacial Palkia

Spacial Palkia

Spatial Palkia is the true Palkia and it partly Dragon and it's other type is yet to be revealed. Legend says, that many years before the creation of the true world (the world we live in now), Palkia, Dialga and Girantina romed and played in Another World, as there were barely any other Pokemon, the three had no responsibilities and just messed around and one day, Girantina and Palkia accidently did something that sent Palkia into a parallel dimension, upsetting the balance of the world. Dialga used it's control over time to get Dialga from the past and bring it to the present. Because the Palkia had some of it's life skipped it never knew how to get back to the strange other dimension that it's true form was trapped in. Palkia is originally Pink but it transformed inside the other dimension. As time pased Basic Palkia, Dialga and Girantina earned duties to do in the world and there games ceased but as Spacial Palkia never learned of these duties it still messes around and is very playful. Spacial Palkia rarely needs to battle but when it does it usualy uses it's signature move, Spacial Sphere.

Spacial Sphere

Spacial Sphere is an attack used only by Spacial Palkia. It brings the user and the opponent to a strange distorted dimension, with floating trees and strange weather. For three turns, whenever a Pokemon attacks Spacial Palkia not only does it take damage it absorbs it. At the end of the 3 turns, Spacial Palkia will inflict 1.5x (rounded up if needed) the amount of damage it to took to it's opponent. If the opponent uses a move or item that doesn't inflict damage, it is treated as 20 damage (Palkia will not lose HP). The attack has a 90% chance to hit. Spacial Sphere can only be used once per battle. If spatial Palkia is knocked out, the next Pokemon in the team will do the same except instead of doing 1.5x damage it will only do 1x damage and you will not have to wait 3 turns if it hasn't already passed 3 turns. The last part is a fact dispite the fact Spatial Palkia has never been in a team.

how did you get the sprite for the 3rd picture?but recolors are easy to make and rarely does anyone make a mistake so a 10/10 won't be as great as it normally would be,

The one thing I see is that you didn't color in the light blue on the miniture sprite, or was like that on purpose?

Thanks, I met show my Spacial Dialga and Lugia (I wanted to do other ones but my school blocks certain pages) but they are worse than this one.

I don't see this recolor having a perfect (or higher) score, it has its flaws. For my critique right now I'll be mainly looking at the D/P front sprite. Most though that I point out have the same problem on all of them.

 

Firstly with your green color. The green color I'm talking about is the one that is on the neck, and all over the shoulder. This color is uppose to have three shades. There is the normal shade, the wone most prominant on the neck, some on the shoulder. The dark one, should and tail. The lightest is at the tip of the neck. You though just used one, making that green really out of place.

 

Nextly I have an issue with the borders. The best place I think I can point it out is on the wings. The wing closest to us, the gray doesn't look right. I think you could have picked a better color for it, it doesn't match the blue color. The wing in the back has too light of a border, I think lighter than the wing itself, or at least something like that.

 

You also have a good deal of shading inconsistencies. I mean on the original Palkia sprite, you can find areas where there are colors on the foot that are the same on the wing. Yet if you go to yours, they are now different.

 

I find that your color choice not to be perfect. I can understand where you might mess it up though, Palkia has a really weird texture that is hard to recolor. You probably though should have spent a bit more time choosing the colors.

 

A few side things to say. On the back sprite you can find a few borders that are purple. Borders and stuff in general on the back could be better. The feet on the D/P sprite could be better, they blend too much with the body, there should be more contrast. The Platinum sprite I'd be careful with where you got it. Since Platinum just came out, the people who have ripped the sprites from it might not just be allowing people to use it. A lot of time you have to credit the person who made it or ripped it.
