[DISC] Lonefire Blossom

Broken plant is quite broken. But still sexy because it's not limited, or even semi'd yet, and I can use it in GigaSwarm, GigaOTK, or any plant deck for that matter as one of the best Plant Search Engines. I was using this a few days ago against a bunch of Seniors, and they got really pissed off calling this "a gay plant card" or "stupid broken plant" or "Gigaplant's little brother".

Discuss.

Well, IMO it deserves to be on the list in every way possible. Any card that searches through the deck that and can summon any monster with no level restrictions deserves to be bannned.

Why isn't it banned yet? Is it because it's a plant? DO NOT MOCK ZEH PLANTZ KONAMI.

DO NOT MOCK ZEH PLANTZ.

DO NOT MOCK ZEH PLANTZ.

This logic implies that the following should also be banned:

Boss Rush

Batteryman Charger

Crystal Beacon

Damage = Reptile

Damage Condenser

Flying Kamakiri #1

Geartown

Giant Rat

Gladiator Beast Alexander

Gladiator Beast Bestiari

Gladiator Beast Darius

Gladiator Beast Dimacari

Gladiator Beast Equeste

Gladiator Beast Gaiodiaz

Gladiator Beast Gyzarus

Gladiator Beast Hoplomus

Gladiator Beast Laquari

Gladiator Beast Murmillo

Gladiator Beast Secutor

Gladiator Beast Spartacus

Gravekeeper's Spy

HERO Flash!!

Howling Insect

Last Will

Magician's Circle

Masked Dragon

Miracle Jurassic Egg

Mother Grizzly

Mystic Tomato

Nova Summoner

Pyramid Turtle

Shining Angel

Substitoad

Test Tiger

UFOroid

UFO Turtle

Warrior Lady of the Wasteland

Now, justify banning all of these. Last Will is pretty obvious, but what about the others?

I'll admit it is a pretty broken card but can be stopped with Mask of Restrict. There are a lot of cards that can wreck this one which is probably why it hasn't been banned.

Personally I think this is an excellent card, and with it I can summon BRD in one turn: SP Summon Lonefire somehow, tribute it for Gigaplant, and then either use Gigaplant to get lonefire back and tribute it for Copy Plant, or just summon Copy Plant from hand/grave....Then of course tuning for BRD...

this will pwn come croc

Crossroads of Chaos is written CSOC.

I have two of these, and I'll be getting a third one from Cheese Pirate soon.

It's a good card, but I think it would have been better as an Ultra Rare.

I don't think this card needs to be put on the list.

It provides support for a Type that didn't really have a lot of support.

Okay, to satisfy Crab.

Lonefire Blossom's concept is relatively balanced. By itself, this card is no more broken than Rescue Cat, even less so, since it only replaces itself and does not generate advantage. Compared to something like Exiled Force, Lonefire Blossom is even less broken, since, although it is still a +0, it doesn't remove any of your opponent's field presence. However, once put into context, Lonefire Blossom quite a powerful card, granting access to Plant-Type Monsters of various strengths and abilities.

I'm not very educated as far as Plant-Type Monsters go, but from what I can tell the most likely targets for Lonefire Blossom would be either Giagplant or Tytannial, Princess of Camellias, neither of which are threatening at all by themselves. Since Lonefire Blossom can't be expected to last past the turn it's Summoned, it's likely that it will be used as soon as it hits the field. Both of the aforementioned Monsters would be nothing more than beatsticks in this case, and will serve no effective purpose other than running over the opponent.

My comment ends here; Lonefire Blossom is relatively balanced.

EDIT: For all intensive purposes, Lonefire Blossom might as well be a spell that reads "Normal Summon 1 Plant-Type Monster from your Deck."

Ok' date=' let's start. As we all know, most of the above has to do with Glad Beasts. I'll get more into this list later on. For now, I'm gonna talk about Lonefire Blossom. Now in reality, we know that in the current card pool, without Crossroads being released yet, there is only one really good plant, and that's Gigaplant. Now, Lonefire's Effect says you can just dump one plant (With lonefire being plant) to Summon another plant from your deck. Lonefires ATK is horrid, so we know that it's not going to last long if you keep it on the field. Thats why we dump it with it's own effect to bring out Gigityplant. (I call it Gigityplant xD). Now, next turn; if not this turn; you activate Gigaplant's effect to Bring back Lonefire, then dump it again for ANOTHER gigaplant. Now as Tea said in the above post, The only thing that Lonefire could be good for is running the opponent over with a bunch of plants. Special Summoning from the deck with No Level Restrictions and no ATK or DEF restrictions for a monster that can get Lonefire back this/next turn to dump it again for another Gigaplant that can do the same thing is kinda broken. The only reason is because once you draw a Lonefire Blossom, you have acsess to 3 gigaplants in your deck if your opponent cannot destroy gigaplant by the second turn Gigaplant is on the field.

End Comment: Lonefire itself ATM isn't that broken because it's only worthy option is Gigaplant, but once Crossroads come out, I think this should be Limited; even though I think it's sexy.

End comment on Crab's List: Well, notice how they can all be run at 3. Glad beasts ability to get any glad beast on the list make them one of the Top Decks for last meta, right? This meta I beleive it's Teli-DAD. But that's still not the point - All Glad beasts can be run at 3. But that doesn't mean you should run them all at three.

This entire forum is terrible. Only two people have actually tried to make arguments in favour of either side' date=' and both of those arguments were terrible. The rest of you just decided to go "OH NO IT ISN'T", "OH YES IT IS" like this is some sort of bloody pantomime.
