Yes. Meta Knight is the best characer in game' date=' while CF the worse.

After a full spring and summer of competition, the SBR felt as though it was time to take the first stab at a tier list for Brawl. Before I post it, let me remind you all of a few important things:

 

 

1. Tier placement doesn't necessarily reflect your ability to beat your friends with a specific character. You might beat your friend's Metaknight with Sonic, but that doesn't mean Sonic is top tier. It means you win that matchup against your friend. Tiers are not absolute measurements of match outcomes.

 

2. Instead of measuring match outcomes, tiers are more a measurement of potential of characters against the rest of the cast in a competitive, 1v1 tournament environment. It shows general strength of a character's abilities in a specific tournament environment. So yes, maybe Yoshi is a beast in teams or Ganon is REALLY good with items turned on... but this list measures somethingd different than those things.

 

3. This list is based on a combination of tournament result data, extensive discussions with top players and tournament hosts and looking at general trends in play in the current competitive metagame. It took a lot of work on the part of some of the best minds in Smash to compile this list.

 

4. This list might change with time. It is based on how we perceive the game to be and play it competitively NOW. However, if a replacement for l-canceling is discovered or new tactics cause the game to evolve over time, this list could change. So if you main a character that isn't near the top, keep playing and evolving their game. You might be the one, like Chu Dat's Ice Climbers back in Melee, that cause people's opinions to change.

 

5. That said, don't give up hope! Just because your character isn't ranked at or near the top, doesn't mean you can't do fantastic things with them with enough talent and effort. I kinda had a feeling about it when I tried to "chain grab" Lucas with Dedede, but had a hard time pulling it off. Either that, or I was doing it wrong.

If done the right way at low %s it is very hard for most characters to get out of. This is part of why Dedede is 3rd.

Well, I got out of dedede's chain grab with ganondorf and bowser. It's easy to get out of with ne one.

 

I personally think dedede should be a low high tier because his chain grab is so easy to get out of.

^Wow that's pathetic to change the tier list by yourself according to you. Face it, Ike is middle tier because he's slow, moves take a while, and his recovery is horrific. ROB is Top Tier because he's an awesome character, has an insanely strong spike, good projectiles, and GREAT recovery, all unlike Ike. Ike is just strong.....that's it...

 

Yeah, and tier lists aren't based on how good YOU are with a character. It's based off of how good the character is himself against other characters. That's why G&W and Falco were top tier :)

Ike's smash attacks kill people when they have like 40 damage. He might be slow, but he's easily the most powerful character and his Final Smash owns (that is, if you know HOW to use it correctly. I do. I rarely miss.)

R.O.B. sucks eggs. His final smash sucks and all is other attacks are extremely innacurate. Face it, R.O.B. sucks, pretty much everyone in my grade at my school thinks so.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm good with Falco and GW, I'm happy there on the list. I was just saying that some other characters should of placed higher. Like Ike and Yoshi. Yoshi you can be EXTREMELY cheap with. The only character I 100% agree with of being on the tops is Meta Knight.

R.O.B. sucks eggs. His final smash sucks and all is other attacks are extremely innacurate.

His final smash rocks and has a never ending glitch. R.O.B.'s recovery kicks ass.

 

Face it, R.O.B. sucks, pretty much everyone in my grade at my school thinks so.

You sir, are an idiot. Your oppion does not make R.O.B. suck. He clearly destroys Ike and a lot of other characters in several areas.

Ike is slow and has sheet for recovery. Yoshi is moderatly slow and has crap for moves, this being said does not mean you cannot be good with Yoshi, it just means him being useful in battle is very rare.
