3)O RLY? SAYS WHO?

Japan

update time.

Today we got a double update, Manaphy and Iwata Asks

Manaphy is a very odd pokemon because he causes you and your opponent to switched bodies.

Don't think it's a broken effect because if you jump off the edge, it counts as a self-destruct for you. And your damage meter remains as it was.

So all you get to do is play around as your opponent.

Iwata Asks was more of a add on update. It's just Sakurai getting interviewed by the President of Nintendo Co. Ltd, Mr. Iwata. A link to it is on the Dojo so check it out if you have time.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998' date=' Nintendo, for Nintendo 64)

Soulcalibur (1999, Namco, for Dreamcast)

Vagrant Story (2000, Square Co., Ltd., for PlayStation)

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (2003, Nintendo for Nintendo GameCube)

Nintendogs (2005, Nintendo, for Nintendo DS)

[b']Final Fantasy XII (2006, Square Enix, for PlayStation 2)[/b]

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008, Nintendo, for Wii)

These next games got a 39/40:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991, Nintendo, for Super Famicom)

Virtua Fighter 2 (1995, Sega, for Sega Saturn)

Ridge Racer Revolution (1995, Namco, for PlayStation)

Super Mario 64 (1996, Nintendo, for Nintendo 64)

Tekken 3 (1998, Namco, for PlayStation)

Cyber Troopers Virtual On Oratorio Tangram (1999, Sega, for Dreamcast)

Final Fantasy X (2001, Square Co., Ltd., for PlayStation 2)

Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec (2001, Sony Computer Entertainment, for PlayStation 2)

Resident Evil (2002, Capcom, for Nintendo GameCube)

Dragon Quest VIII (2004, Square Enix, for PlayStation 2)

Gran Turismo 4 (2004, Sony Computer Entertainment, for PlayStation 2)

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (2005, Konami, for PlayStation 2)

Dead or Alive 4 (2005, Tecmo, for Xbox 360)

Kingdom Hearts II (2006, Square Enix and Buena Vista Games, for PlayStation 2)

Ōkami (2006, Capcom, for PlayStation 2)

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (2007, Nintendo, for Nintendo DS)

I've personally known that for a while. Brawl is probably going to be some pretty good stuff. Hopefully more worthy of a 40/40 than Final Fantasy XII. I mean really, 40/40 ≠ Final Fantasy XII. It's that simple.

Well, they give 40/40 for 2 reasons from what I heard

A) It's a great game

B) It's really innovative for that type of game (like Nintendog)

I think XII fall under B

I think Ganondorf might make a return. What do u think?

Probable' date=' either CF or Ganandorf, 1 of the 2, both won't make it, but I'm positive 1 of them will. But, the differences, CF is fast and strong, Ganandorf is slow and strongER.

Manaphy is a very odd pokemon because he causes you and your opponent to switched bodies.

Don't think it's a broken effect because if you jump off the edge, it counts as a self-destruct for you. And your damage meter remains as it was.

So all you get to do is play around as your opponent.

Hmm, ok, very interesting update there. If you're your opponent, you'll be able to attack and fight your opponent(s), right? If not, then that's the most god damm stupidest thing Nintendo has ever put into Brawl right now.

But if you can attack, SWEET. Since you can't always tell which character your opponent will be, switching characters to "give him a taste of his own medicine" may be in order.

Or if you haven't gotten the character yet (I'm sure they're gonna have unlockable characters here), you can do it just to have a few 10 seconds of glory "test driving" your puppet.

But who really is gonna do that?

I have good news and bad news.

Good news frist.

We finally got Mario music. :). Sadly it's not that great, but still good.

Bad. No new Character. Granted it wasn't likely to start with, but since we got one 2 Wed in a row it might have happened

As you can guess since we got music we also got another update with it. And what better than the stage it plays on. Yes people the second Mario stage.

It's called Mushroomy Kingdom.

stage23_080123a.jpg

Think of it as a remake of World 1-1 from the first Mario game, just with a new background.

stage23_080123b.jpgstage23_080123c.jpg

The stage slowly scrolls sideways so think of it as a cooler Rumble Falls on its side. Sadly I don't think many people will play here because of how it works. But you never know.

O 1 more thing. Every so often you end up here.

stage23_080123d.jpg

Yes world 1-2.

I kill you NOW. That music was awesome.

The level is cool, and you put the wrong picture for level 1-2. :D

It's this one: stage23_080123d-l.jpg

It's good just it could be better. And because their are atleast 10 differant Mario tracks I know it will still be great.

Sorry fixed. It happened because I'm lazy and to change pics I just change the letter.

I know the links are broken. They are to the pics I posted. I made a mistake when I first posted the updated and I was just saying why it happened. (I forgot to change to letters)

Tacobill123, I have to a agree a bit. It's like the place where most gamers grew up is now a wasteland.

Another Brawl vid

Pikachu and ZSS. WTF Does anyone else see Bowser JR at around 44 seconds into the vid?

This is OLD, but I don't think I ever posted it.

Golden Bowser FTW

so' date=' what do you predict for tomorrow. the end of the week update? I think it will be something useless. like another vid. they are messin with us. playing that test game, lauging at us. "hahahah! you guys cant play until march!"

It better be a demo. Japan is getting demo units so we better get 1 to.

Nintendo Putting Wii Demo Units in Japanese Shops

Just in time for Smash Bros.

by Anoop Gantayat

January 24, 2008 - Nintendo's biggest core gamer franchise is about to hit the Wii in Japan, and Nintendo is going to be celebrating with something that we, surprisingly, have not yet seen: retail demo units.

The company revealed today plans to set up Wii demo units in Japanese retail shops. Starting on the 26th, thirty shops throughout Japan will take delivery of demo units, and the first game to go on display will be Smash Bros. Brawl.

Previously, Nintendo refrained from setting up demos at retail due to concerns of waggle-related accidents. Considering that Smash Bros. is played the old fashioned way, Nintendo felt that there wouldn't be any danger to store patrons.

I think next update will be character (playable 1) or how to play.

O another new vid

Another vid. This time from the Dojo.

Yes todays update was real a real game play vid.

I personally think it could have been a better update' date=' but if you go to the Japanese site you will be in for an extra something.

[/quote']

Now I know what Sakurai's trying to say to us:

"HAHA! WE HAVE THE GAME AND YOOOOUUUUUUU DON'T!!"

Also, the Japanese vid. taunted us, since they deliberately made Snake not grab the Smash Ball.

Final Destination is now 100% completely confirmed.

The best three attacks listed for each character tell which attacks have the most knockback, and what percentage they can KO Mario from the center of Final Destination.

Wall Clinging is confirmed.

All of the smashes listed are uncharged.

Mario can be KO'd at 17% by a fully charged side smash from King Dedede. So from the characters we know, Dedede's fully charged Side Smash is the most powerful move in the game.

The Pokemon Trainer's pokemon all get fatigued at about 2 minutes, even if you dont move them. They all show visible signs of fatigue: Charizard lowers his head and wings. Squirtle drops his front hands to the ground. Ivysaur's bulb withers.

The Fanmitsu magazine confirms the starting roster is the 23 characters on the Dojo. (minus Snake and Sonic, and including Zero Suit Samus and Sheik)

Once fatigued a Pokemon becomes much slower.

If you do an aerial block the precise moment before you are hit by an opponent, it will reverse the attack.

The game allows you to access the rules menu directly from the character select screen.

When Sheik attacks with certain items such as the Star Rod and Beam Sword, she swings upward twice with a single motion.

Todays update was a bunch of playable miny demos of the first game each character starred in.

A Wall Cling is an like a Wall Hop, but you cling to the wall for a few secs

Dude' date=' that sounds pretty cool. At first, I thought that was the damage an attack gave. I was like, [i']over 100%?!??![/i]

So all of that was a review by Famitsu and not the Dojo, right?

All I know is Dedede and Ike are beast. They just kill everything.

This all comes from a Famitsu magazine.

And to restate what I said alittle over a week ago this is just the tip of the iceberg. In about a weeks time we will know everything about this game.

Flame' date=' for a heads-up, Dojo has an, um, "interesting" update. Probably not as good as we'd like, but, whatever.

[/quote']

You mean Masterpieces? I know about it and added it to my one post with that long quote. It wasn't really an update that you can go much into so i just said what it was because that's all we need to know.

And FYI every one the Iwata Asks is up to update 4. so check it out if you haven't.
