Lucas is like Ness, I'm not going to miss him. In fact, the one thing I want to NOT return to Brawl is that stupid Mr. Saturn thing. Ugh, whenever I'm in a battle with that thing he DRIVES ME CRAZY!! IT'S THE STUPIDEST ITEM EVER!

So, Lucas is Ness, I haven't the slightest care about that chickpee-loving, A-Rod wannabe.

All I know is, since this is an online game, I'm gonna spend, like, 10 months nonstop playing online against other people.

And hopefully, if Slime gets it, chances are, I'm going to have a major temptation to play aganst him.

Slime, it's nothing personal. I just feel like seeing if I can kick your ass. XD lol.

After all, I have won tons of SSBM tournaments at my local card shop, I am an SSB veteran. Played it ever since I got the original game in like, I don't know, '98, or something, I have no clue.

I've played it for so long, and I even got Melee for my birthday, along with the 'Cube.

And 6 years later, I'm still playing it, and I'm still loving every second of it. Yeah, call me, an SSB fanboy. :)

Sorry to say Mr. Saturn in Brawl, if didn't already know.

is sheik going to be in there

It is comfirmed a model of Sheik was sent to Sakurai

GI: Have you been consulted at all for the usage of Link or Sheik or Ganondorf for Smash Bros. Brawl?

Aonuma: I’ve been working with Sakurai for a very long time with this new Smash Bros.' date=' because the Wii came out and when discussion for a new Smash Bros. took place nobody could think of anyone other than Sakurai working on it. He was kind of the default, and I was very happy to hear that he would be working on it. Actually, my designers did work on the designs for Sheik and Link and Ganondorf. So they submitted the initial designs, and so it would fit in the Smash Bros. Brawl environment, they’ve had to tweak some of the designs. But Sakurai has brought those altered designs to NCL. We’re working very closely with the team of Smash Bros. Brawl to make sure the characters look their best.

The Genius of Kaze

Article #1, Assist Trophies in Super Smash Bros. Brawl

November 11th 2007

assist01_070702a.jpg

I hope you all enjoy this article. It’s about the soon to be released Super Smash Bros. Brawl and its Assist Trophies. I will be letting you in on what to expect and what should be changed to make the game the best is can possibly be, not that it’ll need much help. Before I begin, pleased read the following:

PRE-ARTICLE INFO:

What is an Assist Trophy?

Well' date=' these are characters who appear to aid the fighter that called them forth. Basically, they’re guest characters separate from Smash’s playable roster!

[img']http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m307/God_Kaze/Assist%20Trophies%20Article/assist01_070702b.jpg[/img]

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is sort of like a festival that all sorts of characters show up for. Bear in mind, though, that you can’t control any of the characters appearing on these pages. Let there be no mistake about that.

In any case, you won’t know who is in an Assist Trophy until you use it.

Current Assist Trophies (At the time this article is written)

Samurai Goroh' date=' Dr. Wright, Knuckle Joe, Devil, Andross, Lyn, Mr. Resetti, Excitebike, Little Mac, and Gray Fox.[/quote']

MAIN ARTICLE:

Part 1: The Clone Solution

There have always been a number of complaints about the “useless clone characters” in Melee. Most notably, are:

2.jpg4.jpg

4b.jpgb.jpg

Falco' date=' Dr. Mario, Young Link, and Pichu.

[/quote']

You all may notice that Luigi is not on the list. This is because he is part of the original 12 and should not be taken off the “Playable Character List”. Removing these clone characters from the game is not the answer. To simply say, “You’re not good enough to be in SSBB, so you’re gone.” just seems like a mistake and would make the game seem more empty. But downgrading them to Assist Trophies would still keep them alive. This would open up 4 Playable Character slots for new characters and still keep those old characters alive in the game, like they deserve.

Part 2: Likely Future Trophies

There is a limitless number fo possible Nintendo Characters to include as Trophies. Looking back on ExiteBike and Little Mac, old Nintendo Characters seem to be making a comeback. I remember and old game called “E.V.O. Search for Eden” where you start playing as a fish, and evolve through time. That would make an interesting trophy choice. It starts as a fish, flopping around on the ground, like Goldeen did in SSBM, and then slowly it and its attacks evolve and differ based on what line of evolution it follows.

If you look at the Assist Trophy list, you’ll notice a “Third-Party Assist Trophy”, Gray Fox (Originally from Metal Gear Solid). Meaning Sonic should expect one of his friends to assist him in the Brawl. The best choice would be Tails, the most well known character next to Sonic and a perfect character to give you a lift.

The trophy I’m voting for a “Duck Hunt” Assist Trophy. Ducks fly across the screen and if one flies in front of you and gets shot, you’ll be hit too. Think of them as little flying targets.

Part 3: Poke-Balls VS Assist Trophies

The main point to Assist Trophies is that you get to experience more Nintendo Characters that did not make it as “playable characters” in Brawl. Think of them as much better version of the Poke-Balls. In fact, with the existence of Assist Trophies, will Poke-Balls be needed? Aren’t Pokemon themselves Nintendo Characters and should be moved to Assist Trophies? Currently there are currently 5 Poke-Ball Pokemon confirmed.

Groudon' date=' Deoxys, Piplup, Munchlax, and Meowth.[/quote']

Right now, if a Poke-Ball drops, you will get a Pokemon. When an Assist Trophy drops, you could get anything. Why have Pokemon so greatly outnumber the rest and take away from the possible surprise? I suggest removing Poke-Balls and making 5-12 Pokemon into Assist Trophies. This way, Pokemon and the non-playable characters will share an equal amount of space in the game. There are huge Pokemon fans out there, and those that hate them. So to make both side happy, there would also have to be an option to “edit” the Assist Trophies so you can choose which ones can drop. So you could choose “All-Pokemon”, “No-Pokemon”, or a mix of your favourites.

Here is something that has been bugging me for awhile. Do you think they'll release the SSBB Demo? And if they do' date=' do you think it will be with a game? I think they should release it. Personally, I would rather play the demo than watch other people play it.

[/quote']

I think they might. Alot of peopel want one and their is a petition to do so (I think it has like 5000 signature). So the odds ae good.

I think they will have a demo and hope it will come with a game or be down loadable.

(Slime, I don't know why, but if you get the game, I will have a strange temptation to battle you. I don't know why, I just want to see if I can kick your ass )

No, Slime, I don't gloat, but hey, I toy with the imposible everyday. I just want to see if I can defeat the impossible.

As an SSB veteran for the past, um, 8 years, no, um 2007 - 2001, equals 6 years. So, wait I played the original SSB, too, so that's 2007 - 2001 - um, 199,8? 1999? Um......

Anyway, I've played the game ever since I got the 1st game, and 6 years after I got Melee, I still play it and I still rule.

And my brother can still kick my ass. Most of the time, though.

I got 'em. Both of them. I've played it so much, but back then, I was at event matches 50-51. My brother helped beat them, but now, I'm good enough to take them down. The hands aren't hard, and fighting Giga Bowser is also easy, but Giga with Mewtwo and Ganandorf is stepping into the lions den. Sure, I've beaten it, but, damm, is it hard.
