PrimalFear
ok so i have a major problem i've asked several different mods for some help and only a few of them even return a PM back to me i feel that some mods are not doing there share to help the members i will not name the mod's out of the respect to all mod's i don't want to start a fight either, i want to know why that mods feel the right to say f**k you to certain members and not return a PM atleast saying he's busy at the moment or something. MODS are here to HELP and keep the threads free of spam and other stuff but there also expected by other members to be a mentor and help when you need help. so i have said what i came to say and now hopefully the mods will think of all there responsibilities not just the ones they want to DO!!! and thank you to all other mods that help and give out advice and what not keep up the good work. Guest Star
I'm not defending the mods, but I will say that it's not exactly easy to be a mod. Usually, they are busy trying to keep their section(s) organized, and they might not have time to respond to PM's that aren't exactly important. How can you expect mods to do all they can to keep the site fun and enjoyable for members, and be a mentor to every single member on the site? PrimalFear
i understand all that but i'm not saying they have to be mentor to everyone i'm not saying that they have to be mentor's to me i just believe they should help out as much as possible i understand all they have to do because i acctually own my own site so i understand the pressure and the difficulties but i try my best, not to mention it has been like 1-3 mods that its happening with its like 4-5 and it does make me angry but like i said i understand where they are coming from
Monkey
eeh, the mods have busy jobs, cleaning up their section of the forum... they're only human, sometimes, they might not even be on because they have their own lives too.... i mean if they don't respond to you after you pm'ed them, its probably just that they have too many things on their mind or too many things to do i for one think they're doing a pretty good job keeping the forums the way they are now, i mean there still will be spam, but thats what the report button is for, if you need help, be patient, one mod will eventually help you. Like you said, only a few replied, but the fact is that some of them DID reply....
PrimalFear
thats not the point they weren't all for the same things so i have unanswered questions and when i try one that normally PM's me back they don't aswer it either so explain that, besides the forums and threads aren't part of this disscusion the fact they don't respond with some things but others is the real reason, and some mods respond to some but not others and some don't even respond,
Phantasy Dreamz
i would just like to add 1 thing to this thread..i just read the rules when i returned..and most of the threads i view dont follow the "credit" rulehows this ignored........not only new members dont follow the credit rules..but some experienced also dont follow this rule..hows this ignored hmm.... Phantasy Dreamz
what are you trying to say that i don't use the art credit im not implying it to any specific memberim simply just saying that most members dont follow this rulethus this rule is very ineffective... Dark
He is right and wrong. Mods are here to help us, but they also have JOBS to do on this website. This place would be spamapalooza without them. While they ARE here to help us, they cannot help us 24/7.
PrimalFear
thanks all i understand everyones views and understand they can't help 24/7 but it should be something for the mods to think about
Dark
That is very true. But than again, it depends on WHAT you are asking them. If you are asking them a silly question that could be found by reading some threads, then they should not answer back. If it is urgent and serious, than they SHOULD answer back. PrimalFear
exactly my point but who knows if they even read them or not or just deleted them but i do agree with you thanks

Maybe the mods couldn't understand your grammar. If your going to ask a question or type a complaint the least you could do is use proper grammar. The mods have lives, not all of them can answer all of your questions all the time. Know why we have the "Questions, Comments, Suggestions" So you can get solutions for your problems even from normal members. Want something locked? Report the post. And no, we're not EXPECTED to do anything. We're supposed to enforce the rules. Answering questions is something mods choose to do if they're not busy. We don't get paid for this, so it's not our "responsibility" to do anything. We volunteer and do what we can to help the YCM community so stop complaining. Don't tell someone to use good grammar without using flawless grammar yourself. Aside from that, there can't be THAT much to do. Not many members use the reporting system (or so I would assume), and not that many topics get locked. You make it seem like a Full-time job, but it's really not. Lock here, warn there, discuss somewhere else. If you're stressing that much, you need a therapist.
PrimalFear
well tkill93 i'm glad you could give use your opinion as a mod i understand that you might be mad about me putting this up but i feel that it's an important thing that needs to be adressed and as i said i understand all that and i know you mods don't get payed but yes you do have a respoibility to help out the members of this site that is why YCMaker made yopu guys mods that and to keep the treads clean from spam and running smoothly. i don't want to start a fight with the mods i'm simply stateing that it would suit the members if the mods help out more. and excuse me for my grammar i don't have to type everything so perfectly that is my porogative it does not say anywhere on this site i have to use the best grammar or i can't be on, anyway my grammar is not the issue at hand the mod's.thank you draco i totally agree
Guest Tiger
1. Why do people like you still complain? Is 1 mod responding not enough? At least a mod responds to you. They could not respond to you at all. Use common sense.2. They can't read what you're writing, because of poor grammar3. Mods are just like normal members. They have lives, too.4. Maybe they don't have time to try and figure out what you're asking -.-"
PrimalFear
i have a life i have 2 jobs i go to college and i still have time to come on here and try and help others and make cards and write FanFics if the mod's can't try and help the members whats the point of having them, there job is to clean junk, get rid of spam, if a member spam's what do you think happens a mod lock's there thread and tell them y? or tells them to read the rules and PM them what they think they did wrong that is called helping members and my grammar is not the thing being disscused

While trying to be a smart --- you fail to realize MANY members use the reporting system. We get around 50 reports a day, okay? Lock here, warn there, deal with people who take YCM too seriously and explain the same things to them on a daily basis because they're too ignorant to understand that this is the web, get over it. Oh no, I better watch out for a witty ED quote.
