Yeah, there are real courses in this version of the DA, so you should become a better duelist.

 

Unless you qualify for a Villain role, you have to work at one of three places: Duel Academy, Kaiba Corporation, or Industrial Illusions, Inc. III is more of NYCMA than anything, while KaibaCorp. is metagame analysis for the strong-minded. DA teaches *gasp!* dueling. Anime-only cards are allowed, though, and a plot should show up pretty soon after starting.

Biography: Kyub Erasmus Sapphira was born as simple Kyub Kitsu in the run-down outskirts of Domino City, as what the city folk called a "satellite". Raised with religous, god-fearing parents, Kyub also came to believe in God, but to the horror of his parents, in a different way. He came to resent God, resent the difference in people, the lack of equality. After meeting an arrogant, rich boy from the city, and subsequently breaking his face, he resolved to destroy the current society. While his parents prayed, he schemed and plotted against the city folk, hating their power. When he found out about Duel Monsters and the VIPs who played it, he began to put together a deck of cards fought for with other satellites, or stolen. Largely based on luck, he began to excel with his new deck, challenging anyone with a deck he could find. After a particularly large bet, he managed to win a Duel Runner, a motorbike/Duel Disk. He celebrated fervently, however, on that same day, his parents were run over by a city truck, coming home from their little church. The driver never even stopped. From that day, a strange, cold fire burnt in his eyes, the hate focusing. At 12, he made his way on the Duel Runner he had won to Domino City, violently beating any duelist in his way. When he got to Domino City, he quickly made his way to an office and changed his name to Kyub Erasmus Sapphira, or Kyub E. Sapphira, to prevent anyone guessing his origins. For 4 years, he continued to stalk the streets on his Duel Runner, which he painted black and green. He built a new, better deck, but still kept his old one. He became known as a criminal, and was chased, but never caught. At 16, he hopes to finally settle his grudge, and currently plans a raid on the home of his parents' killer.
