Flame Dragon
How could Link be hard to learn but Toon Link not? It doesn't make sense becuase they have the same move sets. And how can he have horrible match ups when Toon Link only has bad matchups on high tier chars? Again, they have the same move set. Toon Link is BARELY faster then Link. And Link is more powerful than Toon. Link also does have better smashes. They are about the smae speed as Toon's, except more powerful. His up-smash is one of the best smashes in the game. It can kill very easliy. However, enough about that. Both Toon Link and Link should be Tier B in my opinion. They are well balanced chars. With amazing move sets and a pretty great Final Smash. And who could forget their Air A Down/Up? That attack is dangerous. In my opinion, they are both very good chars, but..... *cough...linkisbetter...cough*Their moves work differently. In fact they have totally different play styles. A Toon Link main can't just go and pick up Link, and the same is true in reverse. Look at TAG's speed chart. He isn't barely fast. Plus speed means more then running. His attacks come out much faster then big Link. And Link's ^smash is crap compared to Toons's. Link isn't balanced since's he's so slow in terms of movement and attack speed. As TAG said final smashes mean CRAP in tourney play. Link is better. That's why he's so much higher on the tier list. Wait, he's second to last for reasons I've said many times..
Yoshi Member
Yes, he does. Finally someone who agrees. =DYoshi is probably my best, his attacks are confusing to master, but if you practice with him and master his attacks, he is amazing. He doesn't deserve F Tier. First the Link VS Toon Link thing, and then this... I wish I could shoot the dreator of the Tier list in the face... All the tier list is is the stupid creation ny a guy who think he knows everything about SSB, and just writing down the chars he is good with at the top. But Link and Young Link are better. Have you ever played Wind Waker or the DS Zeldas? They suck. YL and Link's games are better. Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess are two of my favorite games ever. And when your playing SSBB, have you ever paused it on Toon Link just standing there? Look at the scary look on his face. He's ugly.Yep...I played ocarina of time.I liked it.One of the best Zelda games.About Toon Link.I have a friend who plays the DS games...I dont like these games.PD: Omfg you are right about the face.Sometimes it feels like its alive with those expressions.(Your New shop its cool.I might buy from there)
Lonk
Egg Roll and Bomb is good if you actually know how to use Yoshi. It's the steep learning curve that kills him (Yes I am dead serious. Yoshi is recommended for expert players [like I didn't mention many times.]). It's still funny that when someone mentions adding Lloyd Irving in an SSB game, many other people strongly emphasize that he deserves to enter more than any other character should (Dead serious. I checked some comments on Youtube in vids that include Lloyd even briefly in some part of a fan-made list or trailer). I wonder why for what I stated, and why Sakurai didn't talk with Namco about this.

It has a huge range. I can't see how Roll is good. I also get the learning curve killing him. However being over all a weak character doesn't help. Grunt Issun
Did you just call toon link ugly!?! I should kill you for that Isnt toon link like 17 or 14 on the tier while link is 36? thats a 22 charecter differance, that means toon link is better for competitive play, some may be better with link, but toon link is better, theres no doubt about it
JamesKKcameron
Well this is really nice game but at the same time little puzzle type so you have to use your mind to complete the stage. So the game is the mixture of the war and the Logic, the game is not easy as it seems so you have to be careful to play that.

Like ones with long, flat platforms (Final Destination, Pokemon Stadium, Hyrule Temlple, and other stages like that.)Yes, and Yoshi doesn't have very many finishers. but he is somewhat good for building up damage. Then you can finish your opponent off with the bomb or a smash attack. Did you just call toon link ugly!?! I do understand your post, except that you're saying that because you think it's wrong about Link/Toon Link (don't lie, you make it very obvious). AND you think that the tier list is written by " guy who think he knows everything about SSB, and just writing down the chars he is good with at the top." It's one thing to say that you don't care about the tier list. It's another to say something entirely false about it.

He's ugly.If you play a characters enough, yes, you can get really good with him, but it doesn't change the over all weakness of the character. It takes playing that character to learn how to counter ther weakness. That's how Sonic has been moving up. And let me see if I understand this, your pissed at the tier for putitng your mains at the bottom only to think that the maker of the tier list is doing what you do? Your an idiot. I've played Phantom Hourglass first hand and it's an amzing game. Both Spirit Tracks and WW have amazing reviews and are an amzing game. And really, all the Zelda games are great games. And last I checked Young Link has only been in 2 game so it goes with out saying that Toon should be used since he has 5 plus more to come. The only time Toon Link looks scary is when he's in Black, and even that isn't ugly. Really, how is that scary? Seriously... You don't understand reading posts, do you? I've said twice: I don't care about the tier list. End it at that.If you don't care about the tier list then stop making stupid staments about it. O, one more thing. The tier list is just the measure of the characters over all ability, and how well they can do and do do in tourny level play since the top tier characters are the ones that do best. However a master Pokemon Trainer (my self) can beat a master Wario player (my friend) because I'm still a better player then him. From SWF1. Tier placement doesn't necessarily reflect your ability to beat your friends with a specific character. You might beat your friend's Metaknight with Sonic, but that doesn't mean Sonic is top tier. It means you win that matchup against your friend. Tiers are not absolute measurements of match outcomes. 2. Instead of measuring match outcomes, tiers are more a measurement of potential of characters against the rest of the cast in a competitive, 1v1 tournament environment. It shows general strength of a character's abilities in a specific tournament environment. So yes, maybe Yoshi is a beast in teams or Ganon is REALLY good with items turned on... but this list measures somethingd different than those things. 3. This list is based on a combination of tournament result data, extensive discussions with top players and tournament hosts and looking at general trends in play in the current competitive metagame. It took a lot of work on the part of some of the best minds in Smash to compile this list. 4. This list might change with time. It is based on how we perceive the game to be and play it competitively NOW. However, if a replacement for l-canceling is discovered or new tactics cause the game to evolve over time, this list could change. So if you main a character that isn't near the top, keep playing and evolving their game. You might be the one, like Chu Dat's Ice Climbers back in Melee, that cause people's opinions to change. 5. That said, don't give up hope! Just because your character isn't ranked at or near the top, doesn't mean you can't do fantastic things with them with enough talent and effort. We do not publish this list to encourage players to change their main tournament character. If anything, it should serve as a challenge to take the game to the next level. 6. In Smash, any character can win in any matchup if you are smarter and better than your opponents by a wide enough margin. So keep playing to win and work hard to be the best player you can be, regardless of which character you use.
Blake
Exaclty, though, Sonic(Jake the Sage) vs. Ike(Me) ended badly... On the Flipside, Lucario(Me) vs. Meta Knight(Jake) was a complete success, and Meta Knight is rank S. Tiers really are a measure of capability, not particular usability. Flame Dragon
Ike's problem is his moves are slow as hell, he's slow moving, and his recovery is easy to gimp. Still, the fact that he kills things like it's going out of style makes up for it. Also, second half of the tier list. First number is the change from the last tier and the second is their over all change.

Archbaron Larry
Toon Link looks scarier when he gets hit, LOL. G&W is my bro's best, at least he claims he is. He always depends on G&W's hammer attack, and he relies on it all the time, hoping he'll get a "9." He doesn't realize how many times I tell him it's a terrible attack, because it's too slow. I was Link, and he was G&W, and he tried the hammer on me. I do a roll dodge and hit him with a smash attack. I did this many times and eventually he got mad and angrily threw the controller at my head. That hurt, but I still Lol'ed. LOL, ROB went down 11. Lonk
Tiers really aren't about the better character: It is about how n00bs can abuse the said characters. If a character is more abusible than another character, the more abusible character goes higher on the list. If not, they go lower on the list. That is how I see tier lists.
