Mulligan Rule - a real n00bish question

Recommended Posts

I know this may sound very n00bish but I am quite a n00b when it comes down to the TCG - I can make cards, but can't play the game very well. Anyway, I would like you (the forum community) to answer the following 2 questions:

1 - Is there a Mulligan Rule in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Game?

2 - If there is a Mulligan Rule, what are the Yu-Gi-Oh! rules for the Mulligan?

For those who do not know what a Mulligan is, click here

*Additional* - sorry if this is in the wrong section

MTG player? me too, i played that game practicly since it came out, and I'm 18. (if you didin't know that game is around 15 years old, so yeah, basicly my whole life.)

it makes me wonder why there isn't more ATK/DEF modifing instant play cards, they are so much more versitile than plain old destroy effects. use it to counter an attack, get past attack phase traps that they didn't think they needed, go in for a sudden for game attack. they can do so much, and with the way the rules are in this game, they are more powerful than destroy effects in terms of battle. also makes me think of the speed up combo cards as well. lol, megamorph as a quickplay.

your asking that: "is there a rule that allows us to redraw our hand if we dont like it in the first turn of a duel?"

then no.

just no. XD

if we did, then we could just get two chances to get the most broken hand ever. One example of this allowed me in my first turn (on DMU) to summon 2 DaD and another monster to take out 7900 Life Points. i won next turn, but that was a huge advantage that you could easily try and get on your "redraw". :/

Well how it tends to work with Mulligans are that you "redraw" after placing your original hand in the Deck, but then have 1 less card to begin the duel. But yea your right it probably would be far too dangerous to have one.
