[DISC] Tragoedia

Recommended Posts

One of the best synchro supports ever. This card will be a staple in synchro decks.

im not so sure that it would be a staple, but it would be used.

not all people are willing to fork over their lifepoints to special summon this card. mostly n00bs. XD

it would be used though.

maybe it will be a Shonen Jump Promo? that would be sweet...

Well if your in a pinch and got attacked, you can summon this card so it could turn a bad situation into a good one.

Also, if nothing else this monster looks like it could make a pretty good beatstick in a pinch. This cards usefulness simply cannot be overestimated.

1. It has very easy summoning conditions (unless you OTK and never take damage.)

2. It can take permanent control of an opponents monster for a minimal cost (though trying to have the right level could be irritating. But just think, controlling your opponents JD or something can just spell complete defeat for them.)

3. It can alter it's level with ease (can you say synchro?)

4. It can have powerful attack and defence.

5. It can form a defense if your opponent is set to finish you off.

"When you take Battle Damage you can Special Summon this card from your hand."

It does not say you have to pay any Life Points, or that the Battle Damage has to be direct damage, so I don't see how you're forking over anything to Special Summon him >>

This card is definitely a better choice for a hand Beatstick, but its ATK will likely never go over 1800. His main use is to help with Synchros, or stop from losing when you're at your final amount. Not many players I know put down more monsters than needed for an OTK, and if they can then you were going to lose anyway. Definitely a better choice over Kuriboh. lol

Depending on how the Meta goes, this guy might be limited.

i love to combo it with Junk Warrior.

double summon + Calc. + Junk Synchron + LV2 in grave = 4700 ATK.lolNice.

Tragoedia seems good as a last ditch defence.mebbe good in exodia as a last resort?they tend to have good draw power.that and zombies.

This card is unbelievably bad for the game. It counter-acts the central purpose of the game, inflicting battle damage. It basically means that at any point towards the beginning of a game, your opponent cannot inflict battle damage to you because of the possible threat of this coming down.

That means they can't attack over your monsters. That means that you don't have to fear the consequences of leaving your field open. That means that the game is screwed up.

Even later in the game when it's attack isn't particularly significant (1800-), It still makes easy tribute fodder, easy Synchro fodder, and can generate additional tribute or synchro fodder by stealing your opponent's monsters. Also, even with only 1800 ATK, there are still plenty of things that this can run over.

I cannot begin to tell you guys how badly this card needs to not exist. You are unfortunately very mistaken in your evaluation of this card's potential, JoC.
