It's a bit bad i know but it's my first.

 

 

I want to get good at this any tips rate/hate/critique.

I edited his horn a little i think it looks better do you.

You just completely removed all shading and features. Plus the colours don't work too well with the white tail (that lacks outlines). Go read a tutorial plz.

i am sure you will but i we are telling you what is wrong so you can change it ^^

With sprites, there are multiple shades for each color. You need to change each individually. You should have made about 5 shades of right, from bright to dark. You then apply them over properly. Also be mindful of things like borders. You left behind a lot of the gray borders. They should instead be black/dark red. That's really all I have to say. I also agree the whitte tail throws it all off too, maybe make that black too.

Dont erease the shading but try to find a darker or lighter colour. Like this.

um,your not supposed to color a part of the pokemon so your example is wrong,when you recolor,you should recolor the whole thing instead of just part of it,and i don't think that you recolored it,but yeah,try improving,
