THE MECHANICS OF ONLINE DUELING:

Assign a number, from 1 through 40, to each card in your deck. When it's your first turn, follow this link, and set the number of columns to 5, rows to 1, and sides on the die to 40. Correspond each result to a number you assigned to a card in your deck. Those cards are your opening hand. For turns after that, do the same thing, but set the number of columns to 1. If you roll the same number twice (I highly recommend keeping track of what cards you've already drawn), roll again until you get a number you haven't gotten yet.

After you draw, conduct your turn. Simply post a description of every action you make. You can make it as straightforward or as role-playish as you like. However, you must post every action. If you don't post an action, it will never have happened. You must also post images of all cards involved in that turn that your opponent could see.

i.e. Draw 1 card, summon Gilasaurus, attack/destroy Aitsu, set 1 S/T card face-down, end turn.

Every two posts (I will be closely monitoring this thread), either me or another judge will post the current cards on the field, and the number of Life Points. I will also post the cards in each player's Graveyard, and Removed From Play pile. That way, there will be no confusion.

THE RULES:

Each player will be randomly paired against another player, using the same dice roll server you draw with. A whole round will go on at the same time (you'll know which is which by checking the first post). You MUST POST which Duel you are competing in when you post, OR ELSE.

Each duelist starts with 4000 Life Points.

At the beginning of the duel, each player must put up an ante card. The winner of the duel will use the card until the end of the tournament, when all cards will be returned to their original owners. An ante card, when won, is treated as the next highest value after the current number of cards in the deck. There are no exceptions to this rule.

It is possible to lose a match despite the fact that your opponent lost by normal standards; however, this is almost impossible, and only occurs in the event of a cheap victory or cheating, which is rare.

If any judge finds an instance of cheating, then the cheater's opponent will win by default.

You MAY NOT draw a convenient card from your deck to fit a situation. This is equivalent to having cards up your sleeve. Judges must work to the best of their ability to detect this, should it occur. If it is discovered that you must have cheated, all victory will be reversed.

After all duels in a round are finished, then I will post the next set of matches.

THE REWARDS:

At the end of the tournament, I will PM each user a Variant card. A Variant card is a powerful card that is licensed to the owner of the card to use in any way they wish, except ways that would not credit me as the original creator of the card.

In addition, the winner of the tournament will receive 4 Reputations and 50 points. The second place winner will receive 1 reputation and 25 points. The third place winner will receive 1 reputation point. Depending on the runner-up's performance, he/she may or may not receive 10 points.

OTHER:

The only existing card you can use in your deck is Polymerization.

Feel free to add a Fusion Deck and/or 15-card Side Deck.

darkmaster: It's impossible to win by default in my contests. I'm sneaky, and don't set up a dated deadline; rather, I set up contestant limits and see what happens.

Derekwhale2007: Good for you. Now we have half our contestants, so it seems you've sped things up quite a bit.

Alordzynix: You can use any fake cards you've ever made.

We'll see if we have to do a Gauntlet and Trials. Let's have the other three!

*EDIT*: A panel of judges, consisting of myself and two other members, is necessary. You cannot sign up to be a judge if you are participating in the contest. You must also have good grammar in order to be a judge. I need two other judges NOW, so sign up if you want.

[/quote']Hmm, how do you enter to the contest?

If I change my mind I have excellent grammar so I will consider being a judge. Also, how do you sign up to a judge?

Sorry for all the questions, I am new to this forum.

Jay.P.: No. You absolutely must use original cards that you made using the Card Maker.

greyshadow0: Alright. 1 judge spot remaining!

No long-range telepathy, just weak possession. Besides, I don't know where you are, aaronpoe1988.

One judge spot left, still.

Anyway, I'm putting up the list of contestants in the top post. Also, there will be no gauntlet/trials, there'll just be 8 contestants. Three competitor spots remaining.

Quagmire jr: You can have up to three of all cards in your deck, except for three nominated semi-limited cards and two nominated limited cards.

Deity Mitsu: Yes, you are a part of the contest.

One entry spot left, folks! We also need that last judge!
