"Kukuri no kami" / "Kukuri"

4 Stars, DARK

ATK 1700 DEF 2100

[Fairy/Spirit]

This card cannot be special summoned. While there is another spirit monster on the field, once per turn you can draw a card during your main phase. When this card is not at defense position at the end of turn, it is returned to your hand.

 

Comment : Well, the spirit deck needs a lot of hand I guess.

 

"Konpaku"

[Trap Card]

Send a spirit monster card from your side of field or your hand to special summon a spirit monster from your graveyard or your removed from play area to your side of field ignoring its summoning condition in faced down defense position.

 

OR alternatively like this

[Continous Spell]

When a spirit card added to your hand from your graveyard, you can special summon it in faced up attack position or faced down defense position ignoring its summoning condition.

 

Comment : The alternative card is sounds better and matched the effect of Izanami. Konpaku, kon is a positive soul which returned to the sky, and haku (paku) is a negative soul which remains on earth. This positive negative thing is related to onmyoudou (yin yang road).

 

"Kamikakushi"

[spell Card]

Remove from play any number of card equal to faced up spirit monster card you control. Then, flip all of your spirit monster card(s) to faced down defense position, and it cannot be flip summoned until your next turn.

 

Comment : Except Dark dust spirit, no card specifically designed as a card destroyer for spirit deck. This is just an example.

 

When I thought a good field for spirit cards, only abrupt images come.

The name could be "Izumo", "Amatsu", "Yamato", "Yomi", etc.

The effect sounds good or relevant for spirit deck would be :

- Negate the effect which would return a spirit monster to its owner hand.

- Increase the attack of spirit monster equipped with a card which only can be equipped to spirit monster by xxxx. 500 is ok.

- The spirit monster you control cannot be destroyed by any card effect.

Sounds too powerful ? This deck contains A LOT of non destructive and only supportive spell/traps while the monster itself cannot win the field occupation battle.

Or alternatively, once per turn you can destroy a card on the field...

- This field cannot be destroyed and no other field card can be activated while you control at least one spirit monster card...

- Reduce the tribute required to normal summon or set a spirit monster card by 1. 2 is better though :D

 

Why I seem to abusing "faced down" condition ?

Well, the other deck which good with faced down condition is spirit deck actually. Dark Dust spirit would activate its destroy effect once more, Yamata Dragon and Hinokagutsuchi have insane defense and packed with a lethal effect. At least, it is not returned to your hand while it is faced down while provides at least a "defense" for your field.

Are you from Pojo? I remember a member there with that username.

 

Kukuri: Not really; what Spirits, especially those LV5 and higher, is field presence. This is an impressive beast in itself, but you'd do better to remove the last sentence and copy the mandatory condition for all Spirits.

 

Konpaku: I don't see the point; after all, Spirits are rarely seen in the Graveyard.

 

Kamikakushi: Good card is good - removal plus an avenue for Spirits to stay longer.
