Nightmare Dragons, a brand-new archetype from the Umbran factory, deals with returning cards from the field to the hand, and quickly summoning them from the hand again.

 

Land of Phantasms

Field Spell Card

When a monster you control is returned to your hand, place 1 Phantasm Counter (max. 3) on this card. You can remove any number of Phantasm Counters from this card to Special Summon 1 monster in your hand whose Level Stars equal the number of counters removed + 3.

 

Nightmare Dragon Redwing

FIRE

When this card is Summoned, place 1 Phantasm Counter on 1 card on the field that a Phantasm Counter can be placed on. When this card attacks a monster your opponent controls, you can return 1 monster you control (except this card) to your hand to destroy the opponent's monster before damage calculation.

 

Nightmare Dragon Ghoulbreath

DARK

Once per turn, you can return any number of “Nightmare Dragon” monsters you control to your hand to place the same number of Phantasm Counters on this card. (max. 4) This card gains 300 ATK for each Phantasm Counter on it. By removing 2 Phantasm Counters on this card from the game, return 1 card on your side of the field to your hand.

 

Nightmare Dragon Groundslam

EARTH

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned, except by returning 2 Monster Cards on your side of the field to your hand, including at least 1 “Nightmare Dragon” monster. When this card is returned to your hand, destroy 1 card on the field.

 

Nightmare Dragon Phantomity

“Nightmare Dragon Ghoulbreath” + 1 “Nightmare Dragon” monster

This card cannot be Special Summoned except by a Fusion Summon with the above monsters. When this card is Fusion Summoned, return the monsters used for the Fusion in your Graveyard to your hand. When a card(s) on your side of the field is returned to your hand, draw 1 card.

 

Nightmare Storm

Spell Card

Activate only while you control “Land of Phantasms”. Return all Spell or Trap Cards on the field to their owner's hands, except “Land of Phantasms”.

 

Nightmare Dragon Eternity

LIGHT

By returning 1 “Nightmare Dragon Ghoulbreath” on your side of the field to your hand, you can Special Summon this card. If this card is Special Summoned by this effect, increase it's Level Stars by 2 and it's ATK/DEF by 1000 points. If this card would be removed from the field, return it to your hand.

 

Nightmare Fusion

Quick-Play Spell Card

Return from your side of the field to your hand, monsters listed on a “Nightmare Dragon” Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck, and Special Summon that monster to your side of the field. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon) The Special Summoned monster is destroyed and returned to the Extra Deck at the End Phase. While this card is in the Graveyard, you can return 1 “Nightmare Dragon” monster you control to your hand to add this card to your hand.

 

Eternal Nightmare Rain

Spell Card

Activate only while there are 15 or more cards in your Graveyard. Place this card in the bottom of your Graveyard. When a “Nightmare Dragon” monster is returned to your hand from your side of the field, place the top card in your Graveyard at the bottom of your Deck, then shuffle your Deck. If this card is the top card in your Graveyard, you win the Duel.

 

Nightmare Dragon Abyssfang

When this card is returned to your hand, select 1 “Nightmare Dragon” monster in your hand and Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can return this card to your hand.

 

Hand of Nightmare

If you control a “Nightmare Dragon” monster and this card is in your hand, once per turn, you can Special Summon this card. By returning this card to your hand, draw 1 card.

 

Nightmare Dragon Infernalsky

FIRE

Dragon / Fusion

9 / 3300 / 3200

“Nightmare Dragon Redwing”+ 2 “Nightmare Dragon” monsters.

This card cannot be Special Summoned except by a Fusion Summon with the above monsters. When this card is Fusion Summoned, return the monsters used for the Fusion in your Graveyard to your hand. When your opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card, you can return 1 “Nightmare Dragon” monster you control (except this card) to your hand to negate the activation and inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

Kinda like my Zeta set, but with a more specific goal. The OCG for the first one is messed up, though.

 

When a monster you control is returned to your hand, put 1 "Phantasm Counter" (max. 3) on this card. You can remove any number of Phantasm Counters from this card to Special Summon 1 monster from your hand whose Level is equal to the number of removed counters + 3.
