Kuriboh, the little fuzz ball that Yugi uses in 99% of his decks.

What do you think of this card? And before you answer that, actually think about the card. Don't just go with what comes off the top of your head, because then I will be forced to slaughter a pig in front of your house.

Why would I use this card?

Berserker Crash' date=' Flute of Summoning Kuriboh, Multiply...

Has it's uses. Most of them aren't that good though.

I remember when it first came out, someone made a Flut of Summoning Monarch deck. It was interesting.

But that's beside the point. The reason I use this card is because it is DARK (tons of DARK support, though I don't really use it), Fiend (A few different Fiend support cards, such as Dark Necrofear), and is Level 1 (Makes level modifying for Synchros easier in a way). If that weren't enough, it also has an effect that can dump itself in the grave, while at the same time save my Life Points.

Nobody expects this little guy to be in your hand, so they can automatically assume that a Breaker will kill you when you have 1600 Life Points. Or they will use DAD and attack for game, finding out they just lost their winning attack. I especially like to use it while running Dark Necrofear because DAD will bomb Necro, then I ditch Kuriboh to save my LPs. Then, Necrofear takes DAD and I automatically have 1 DARK monster in my Graveyard.

Maybe not exactly a "pro" strategy, but it's better than playing nothing.

Interesting doesn't exactly mean the same as good, but I digress. The only reason a monarch deck like that would be used over something such as an Instant Fusion or Fiend Sanctuary Monarch deck is because of the deck thinning. Treeborn is still best, and Emergency Teleport is far and away a hundred times better for instant SS-ing as well as deck thinning, whether you use them for tuning or for trib bait for some reason. >_>

It requires you to main deck Kuriboh though. Situational/10

This sentence implies that Yugi runs more than a hundred different decks.

This sentence also implies that Yugi doesn't run Kuriboh sometimes.

This sentence is laughable.

And by the way: I wouldn't use Kuriboh. Waboku, IMHO, is better.

You obviously don't know what an exaggeration is if you took me seriously about the 99% thing, and therefore your point would be invalid.

However, if you were just being a jack and saying that, then I guess I can accept that answer as not being by an idiot.

I run Waboku in the deck as well, but Kuriboh serves a purpose greater that Waboku, which is allowing my monsters to be destroyed. Thus even if my opponent attacked Necrofear for some reason, his effect would still go off. And I don't have to worry about my opponent slamming my face-down with a Mystical, or stopping my strategy from being pulled off.

@Pika: I know it doesn't make it good, I was just randomly putting it out there. As you might have noticed, I like to look deeper into cards and find their uses, even if they aren't good uses.

As for the situational part, Kuriboh is not what the deck is based around. The deck is actually based around Necrofear and Fiend monsters (which Dark World really helps in a lot of ways. Allows dumping, drawing, and summoning capabilities right in their theme). Kuriboh is just a way of putting a stick in the works and stopping the gears from turning, if not only temporarily.
