My FIRST recolor | Made on PSP and Gimp

okay, this will be real advise, as i have the best recolours on the site i believe.

you are getting there. ^_^ much better than other recolours i have seen, and you have actually taken the time to put the stars and text border back on.

now all you have to do is refine it. tone down the colour so it looks more .... natural. ^_^ not so neon.

and then try to smooth the edges of the stars and the text border. they look to ... sharp i guess. ^_^ that should not be that hard to do in photoshop..

and then try to work out the name. it got covered up, and it makes it look worse. if you cant do it any other way, erase over the letters and then put an unedited copy under it so that the unedited name shines through.

after that, it should look real nice. ^_^

Nice, but here are the mistakes you made:

- Gold stamp w/o 1st Edition (-1)

- Text has turned green (-1)

- No anti-aliasing on symbols (-0.5)

Total rating: 7.5/10

Tip: Instead of using Colorize, "Replace color" works better (not sure whether that is in PSP or not, though). This will also save the "elevation" in the card background because your color just looks too monotone, and the color looks ugly.

*cough*

Post edited, sorry.

OoC: I use Gimp to recolor the cards. Does PSP have "Replace Color" on it?

PSP has the same functions just with different names, so you could search. GIMP can do that for example when you colorize a ritual monster just check Blue and drag the Hue/Saturation sliders. If I have time I'll make a tut.
