I don't know the life span, but the thing i know is that trill can get a symbiote and when the host dies the memory is also in the symbiote. If the symbiote doesn't have a host, it could die. What would most likely happen if Earth were to be assimilated? I am just wondering about your opinions.

I'm assuming you mean by the Borg. Well, if Earth was assimilated, that would obviously not include the starships, starbases, or colonies. If the Borg only assimilated Earth itself, I still think they would have a serious problem. As Riker said in First Contact, there are 50,000,000 people living on the Moon. Add in the Mars colonies and other different colonies around the quadrant and you're probably looking at maybe at least a billion people. Plus, the starships in Starfleet are almost never at Earth. It may take a while, but if humans got some help from other species, they could probably settle on another planet and start anew, but they could probably never go back to Earth.

What i would think would happen if Earth is assmilated is that Starfleet would have to regroup at a different sector, and possibly ask the Klingons, and Romulans for help to retake Earth and try to heal everyone. That would be a good movie, or possibly a 2-3 part episode that i thought up of. Now, what do you guys think of the Borg attacks on Earth?

They could if They sent about 1000 Sovereign class Enterprises, and if the Cardassians and the Klingons joined them. BTW:

1. I won't be online Monday-Friday, every week. i'm only online on weekends.

2. Check this out http://www.multiverseconquest.com I'm playing as the Romulans and Cardassians

I don't think they would have as many problems fighting the Borg as humans would. Look at Worf! He fought the Borg in First Contact even when his phaser was useless. Now imagine a few billion Worfs fighting like that. Do you think they would have much of a problem?

HaaaHHH! Borgs can adapt quickly, so then, the WorfZ would be useless...

Since humans (specifically the Enterprise - D crew) were the first to know about the Borg, if that were to never happen, no one in the Alpha Quadrant would even know about the Borg, let alone know that they're coming. Maybe they would run into a Doomsday machine. :) I think that would end the problem.
