How To Use MyCode

 

This guide is for new members. It will help you learn the basics of MyCode. Typing MyCode is much faster than going into Post Reply and clicking the B to bold your text or whatever. This way you can go into fast reply and quickly type the code. MyCode allows you to

• Make A List
  
• Underline Text
  
• Make text Bold
  
• Make text Italic
  
• Change the font of text
  
• Post A Card/Picture
  
• Change the colour of text
  
• Strike Out Text
  
• Create A Separator
  
• Post an auto-email Link
  
• Post a link to a thread that shows as a picture
  
• Post a quote
  
• Post a code
  
• Resize an image
  
• Align Text
  
• Make a Spoiler
  
• Change text size

So, What is MyCode?

You can use MyCode' date=' a simplified version of HTML, in your posts to create certain effects. [/quote']

 

Here, I will go through all the effects of MyCode listed in the Forum Help, as well as a few that aren't, and post examples and the code to use them.

 

Making A List

---------------------

 

Making a list allows you to explain things with more clarity.

 

E.g

 

• Rules for a contest or shop.
  
• Making a tutorial (Lol)
  

 

The code for making a list is:

[/list]

 

Preview:

For every [*] it adds another point. Say you want 3 points, then you will put 3 [*]'s.

 

For numbered points instead of bullet points use this code:

For an alphabetical list use this code:

Underlining Text

This is really quite simple. If you want to underline your text use this code:

Changing Fonts

---------------------

To change fonts use this code:

I'm pretty sure it will support any font as long as you have it on your system.

 

Posting A Card/Pic

---------------------

This is what most new members have trouble with. This involves some work. To use this you must first upload your picture to Photobucket or another image hosting site. From there you can either use their automatic IMG Code or this:

To make an image appear so that when you click on it, it takes you to another site use this:

[url=*Site URL goes here*][img=*Pic URL goes here*][/url]

Changing Text Colours

To change the colour of your text use this code:

I believe HEX Codes also work where the colour name goes.

Creating A Separator

To create one of those huge lines that join your posts when you double post use this code:

To make a spoiler (that click to view thing) use this code:

Optionally you can leave out the spoiler name' date=' in which case the name will appear as "Spoiler".
