Well, I've been idly looking through the RP section, and it seems that many of the more experienced RPers share a common sentiment - they want quality RPs, with depth, coherent plot, and so on. Now, I am fortunate enough to know several sites where these are in high supply, and it saddens me that they are few and far between here. So, I've set out to make a high quality RP.

 

Blood is thicker than Water is not a YuGiOh RP, nor is it based on any other pre-existing series or franchise. It comes purely from my imagination, albeit with Fire Emblem thematics to an extent. However, this is a deep RP. It will deal with serious issues through the guise of fantasy. Religion, ethics, incest, rape, murder, politics - all will be touched upon. If you don't want your thoughts and opinions challenged, this is not the RP for you, and I'd advise you to leave. This RP is srs business.

 

Please note that this means there may be sex scenes if you so wish to, but please, don't over do it. I don't want my RP derailed because of it. Use it only for plot/character development, not just because you are feeling perverted today and want to reflect it in the RP, kk?

 

Now, anyone joining this really should be a skilled RPers, so I won't bother with too much of a back story - the full back story will be revealed as the plot progresses. However, I will detail the events that take place directly before the RP starts.

 

There are three kingdoms - Eltos, Varn, and Maltenith. For centuries, they have fought great battles and wars, each one trying to destroy the other. However, for the last thirty or so years, there has been an uneasy peace, and a year ago, the King of Varn, Gellen, asked the King of Eltos, Ferrel, and the Queen of Maltenith, Ashaga, to make an alliance, and forever make peace. Alas, it was not to be. King Ferrel signed the treaty, and Queen Ashaga was expected to do the same, but instead, against all expectations, she instead attacked Varn!

 

King Gellen immediately took his army north to defend his borders from Queen Ashaga and the Maltenith Army, leaving his young son, Lord Sigurd, behind to guard Castle Varn, on the agreement King Ferrel would obey the peace treaty and not attack whilst he was gone. King Ferrel wished for peace, and did not attack. Unfortunately, not all of the Eltosians agreed with him, and a few rebel Eltosians, lead by Lord Kindune, have attacked Castle Varn in the hope that the peace treaty will not hold, and that they can conquer Varn. This is where the RP starts - with Lord Sigurd and a few friends desperately trying to defend Castle Varn from Kindune's men.

 

There is one more party that holds relevance to the start of this RP, and that is the Church of Belzael. Worshippers of the God Belzael,the primary religion of all three countries, and had helped the peace treaties along. However, the old Archbishop recently died, to be replaced by a new one, and the Church is currently in disarray.

 

There are many other political and social groups and kingdoms, but all the ones you need to know about so far are outlined above. If you wish to join this RP, it will be as one of Lord Sigurd's friends, although you have a choice between being a solider helping to defend the Castle, a lord or lady of the Royal Court of Varn, or even an envoy from Eltos, here to show that King Eltos still wishes the peace treaty to be upheld.

Strengths: What’s your character good at? Where lays its strongest defenses? Your character is not to be invincible, but having a few strong traits is of course allowed. Just don’t make it too strong.

Weakness: All characters have a weakness, or they are not approved. Make it a reasonable one. “Scared to death by green mice with silly hats” is not a valid weakness. How big is the chance of such creatures visiting the battle field?

Skills:

Magic: Currently applies to Mages only.

Appearance: Here you write the details and explanations of your characters looks. The one who reads the Appearance should be able to picture your character by reading what you write. Be sure to describe your character’s features, clothing and any other items they might be carrying.

Bio: Please keep this simple, to the point, but descriptive. No "parents were killed, now Character wants revenge" type deals.

 

I reserve the right to turn down any entries that aren't well written. As the story progresses, new affliations and classes will become available. You may submit multiple characters, but only if you have my permission. You will have need to have used your current character for a while, and with some skill.

Personality: Cool, calm, calculated yet distant for most of the time, but when aggravated by someone/thing or while on mission he becomes cold, vicious, sinister, unyielding. Mysterious all the time, as well as wise and logical.

Strengths & Weaknesses: All-around balanced fighter; strength is good however not as high as prototypical Knights, speed is good but not as high as prototypical Thief, Stamina is good but not as good as prototypical Archers/Woodsman (you get the idea). Very cunning, clever, deceptive and crafty. Uses his wits and ingenuity to survive on missions, and able to focus on the task at hand without concern.

Appearance:

Bio: Born into a noble family from Eltos, Steven was raised to show and maintain the highest levels of respect, dignity, honour and valor for the family and their allies. However as he disagreed with many of the arrangement and policies of his family, he ran away from home and soon ran into a travelling group of bandits, who picked him up along with other children from the nearby village. While imprisoned with the bandits he trained his body and mind to become stalwart and strong, and over time discovered ways to become covert and stealthy (like a Ninja). As so after escaping the Bandits - many say he killed them and the other children with him to keep them quiet - he remained alone and made something of his life that he could agree with.

Lately his loyalties have been to those who need something done "off the books" ranging from stealing, to recon and even rape and assassination. He is known through Black Market channels as very dependable and is hired and paid accordingly. His tasks are delivered to him via a special friend of his from the Black Market to supplies him with the latest requests that someone wants done, and can be hired by anyone from Knight, to Family Man to Feudal Lord (assuming they can match his price)...

I see from the quality of most of the entries there is still a little ground work that needs to be layed before I can embark on this particular epic. I'll wait until the changes to the RP section have been put in place.

Name: Misa Uta

Gender: Female (never played as a Girl before, thought I migth try it out.)

Weapons: Bow, Arrows, Short Sword and Small Buckler

Personality: Misa is a happy-go-lucky kinda' girl. She is very flirtatious and loves to toy with Men, but she has never truly loved anyone. Being the bubbly person she is, it is hard to keep Misa on track, her mind constantly wondering onto other thoughts. Though in times of dire need she can be relied upon to do the most difficult of tasks, as her sheer determination drives her on to accomplish any goal she desires.

Though Misa seems to be a confident person, she is easily upset by the smallest of jibes or the tinyest of insults. She is very insecure having never found someone that she cares for and who cares for her, even though she has a sea of men clawing for her heart, she feels they only want to use her. This may be her own fault for acting the way she does, but she doesn't look at it that way.

Strengths: Almost too pretty to be true, and can have most men twisted around her finger in a matter of no time. Misa's not the best shot with the bow, but you don't need to be worried that you're gunna' get hit in the head with an arrow if you're stood next to her.

Weakness: Ah, I already did this in the personality section, I can write it again if need be.

Skills: Can play the read pipes.. sort of. She can also fletch arrows fairly well.

Magic: N/A

Appearance: Long-ish, Blonde hair that comes to just below her shoulders, she often has a small ponytail at the back that lies ontop of her hair. Misa enjoys wearing colourful clothes, so has died her leather armour a dull purple colour. Also she paints her arrow shafts different colours too, ya' know, to be unique and what not. When not in her archer uniform, Misa wears floaty dresses' that cover up to just below her knees. She has a very pretty face, with a small mole under her left eye, which is only small so is considered by herself to be a mark of beauty. Her eyes are a light blue, which completes the "Blonde hair, blue eye" look.

As you can see i have gone with a very "perfect" type of character but that is intended. I know many Hosts don't enjoy this sort of charcter but that will change as soon as she has any problems at all, in which her "perfect" facade shall fall and she will crumble.

Strengths: Is very agile, can perform Wall Run, despite his Swordfighter type. His Stamina is also not to be underestimated.

Weakness: Not good at stealthing. Below mediocre at long ranges.

Skills: Not to be underestimated as a smith, tactical. Wall Run is his best skill.

Appearance:

Bio: He is a good friend of Gellen's son, and lived in Castle Vorn from his birth. After defending the castle, if they suceed, he plans to go help the king defeat the Maltenith. His father taught him the way of the sword.

Name: Chann Boodarg

Age: 17, although his body stopped growing and looks like he is 12.

Gender: Male

Height: 5"8

Weight: 172(Hefty, he?)

Class: Archer

Affiliation: Serves King Gellen

Weapons: Bow and Arrow, Posion Crossbow, Steel Staff

Personality: Laid-Back, Friendly, Calm, Happy.

Strengths: Can see really well in the dark. He's good at understanding different languages, and knows everything about trajectory.

Weakness: Infections, since his infections cause him to shake uncontrollably once he gets them. He is allergic to Rabbits and alcohol.

Skills: Bow and Arrow Shooting, Reading, Hiding

Appearance: (without the glasses)

Bio: Chann was a city child, always learning how to live in the city. However, he was always more calm in nature, mostly forests and the woods. His parents are handicapped, as they have mental disorder. They got this terrible effect after an attack from a snake. He loves his parents, but he knows he must defeat the evil, one arrow at a time.
