*she continued to charge up her wand as its energy grew brighter and brighter. she looked up at the dragon through the barrier her taunting it happily and watching it grow more furious by the moment.* she thinks to herself, 'just needs a little more energy...' *she concentrated hard, her wand building up an immense amount of energy as the light grew bigger and brighter by the moment. Hazel clung to her back frantically as she readied to fight the dragon, him knowing that he could get toasted in a moments notice. she began to hold her wand with both hands as the energy started to grow to an almost unstable rate*

After a while of fighting, Dex and Victor took a step away from each other to catch their breath. "You've....gotten stronger.....since last we met..." Dex said to Victor, panting exhaustedly. "Heh, you're not bad yourself..." Victor responded. After a minute or two of resting, the two brothers charged each other again, clashing their blades fiercely. Victor gained the upper hand and knocked Dex onto his back, then jumped on top of him and crossed his swords around his neck. "...but you're still not good enough!" Victor taunted his opponent. "And this time, there's no one here to save you!"

*she taunted the dragon some more while getting the last little bit of energy she could control built up in her wand. she watched it fire at her again, the barrier deflecting the dragon's attack without fail. immediately afterwards she stepped out of the barrier and fired the huge blast of energy that she had built up at the dragon. she began to build up some more energy in her wand as she watched her attack knock the dragon back some and nearly kill it. she fired what energy she had built up in the last few moments at the dragon and watched as the dragon fell to the ground dead.* she thinks to herself, 'it wasnt easy to kill this thing, but at least now its not gonna eat me...' *she poked the dragon's head once or twice with her wand to make sure it was dead before running back to where Dex and Victor were fighting. as she reached a good view of them she saw Victor standing above Dex about to kill him. she moved up closer to the both of them as she held out her wand at Victor, her wand started to glow with energy as she prepared to attack him.*

Victor stopped and turned his head toward Reciou. "So, you plan to kill me? Heh, no matter, as soon as that energy is discharged my swords will fall on his throat anyway...there's no way for you to save him now!" He slid his blades closer to Dex's neck, and Dex looked up at Reciou saying, "Don't waste your energy! Save yourself!" Victor's swords barely touched against Dex's skin, cutting it slightly. "Well..." Victor smirked, "...What are you going to do?"

*she looked at Dex silently as he spoke to her before looking up at Victor and letting the energy fade from her wand. she gestured to Victor that she wanted a trade, he would leave Dex alive if she came with him without a struggle and if he refused her trade, then he would never be able to obtain her because she would remain behind a barrier that only she could get through. she held her hands together in front of her and backed a few feet away, being ready and able to teleport at a moments notice should he refuse her offer. she stared at Victor angrily awaiting his response to her generous offer. she watched him carefully, knowing that if he tried anything funny that she'd be gone before he could even reach her.*

Victor snarled as she gestured her offer. "A trade, eh? So you would rather give yourself up than watch your companion die. You're too compassionate, but maybe Ha Des can fix that..." He pulled his swords away from Dex's throat and returned them to his side. He then walked over to Reciou and grabbed one of her arms tightly, and looked back at Dex saying, "Don't bother getting back up, Dex. By the time you reach the Fortress it'll be too late...the ritual will be complete and the entire world will be covered in darkness!" Victor snapped his fingers, summoning another dragon to his side. He pulled Reciou on top of the dragon with her, and they flew away toward the Fortress. "Farewell brother!!"

*she cringed in pain a little as Victor grabbed her arm tightly and pulled her on top of the dragon. she glanced over at Dex sadly for a few seconds before looking away to hide her sadness as they took off. Hazel still clung to her back unnoticed and still very frantic as they flew high into the air. she looked up at Victor to make sure he wasnt looking as they neared the fortress. she then pulled Hazel from her back and gestured to him to find her chamber after she was locked back up before throwing him off the dragon to fend for himself for the time being. she watched for a few minutes as Hazel fell almost to the tree line and then picked up on flying, him following them just above the tree line where he couldnt be seen. she looked forward again to keep Victor's suspicions down about her and anything she might be up to, her now seeing them arriving at the fortress.*

Victor peered over his shoulder to see what Reciou was doing, seeing she was still looking forward not doing anything. He turned his head to the front again as they arrived at the Fortress. They landed on the top of a large tower, where Sindri was waiting for them. "Well, I see you brought her back successfully this time..." Sindri said with a sly grin. "Keep your mouth shut sorcerer!" Victor scorned as he pulled Reciou off of the dragon with him. "I've only done part of my mission, and we're waiting for that new recruit to bring back the other magician..." They all entered through a door into the tower, where Sindri lead them towards Ha Des' chamber.

Meanwhile, Dex layed on the ground, defeated. "Damn...she's gone, and it's my fault...I promised to protect her, and I failed." He slammed his fist on the ground, angry at himself. "Victor shouldn't have beaten me...Where is his power coming from?" He questioned that and himself. "Could the fall of the Sanctuary have had a negative effect on me? Is that why I'm not as strong as I used to be? Is that why Victor keeps beating me?" He sat up, knowing that the spirits here would be displeased with him, and expected one of them to show up to smite him. What he saw, however, was the spirit of Orion, who had appeared before him, and pointed his sword at his face.

*she somewhat reluctantly walked along with Victor as he kept his tight grip on her arm. as they neared Ha Des's chamber she stopped a few feet from the door making Victor halt abruptly, she looked at the floor silently standing there. she seemed to be reluctant about entering Ha Des's chamber as she tried to pull her arm from Victor's grip. soon after, she remembered her deal with him and then quit trying to pull away from him, her still silently looking at the ground.*

Reciou's Old Village:

*Orion looked down at Dex silently for a moment as he held his sword up to him.* "you let her get taken away and what's worse is she did it to save you!" he said angrily *he pulled his sword away from Dex before angrily sighing to himself* "she wont run and leave you to die just because you tell her to... she has more loyalty than you take her to have and that's precisely why she gave herself up!" *he sighes angrily to himself again before turning away from Dex* "i cant remain here forever, i've already pushed it past my limit to stay here for her this long... that's why you have to look out for her in my place." *he turned to face Dex still seeming angry that Reciou had gotten taken away* "now... i'm going to give you all the power i have, you better use it well..." *he then placed his hand on Dex's head, his hand glowing as he gave his power to Dex. as he did so, his body started to fade away slowly* "take care of her..." he said sternly *his body then faded away completely, as the wind began to pick up as if beckoning that something were soon to go terribly amiss*

In the Fortress:

Victor forced Reciou into the chamber, where Ha Des was waiting with an evil grin. "Ah, you've done well for once, Dark Blade!" he said to Victor. Victor did nothing but pull Reciou over to him, and silently exited the chamber. "Well, someone's in a bad mood..." Ha Des jested. He grabbed Reciou by her hair and pulled her over to a cage, throwing her inside and locking the door. "Now then," he said, "You won't be escaping me anymore. And when the others arrive, the ritual will be under way!"

In the village:

Dex fell to his hands and knees, overwhelmed by the power that Orion had given him. He could feel the dark energy surging through his entire body. The power also changed his armor, turning it a dark violet color and forming magical orbs in several parts of it. His sword also transformed under Orion's influence. The eyes in Dex's helmet began glowing bright red, and Dex slowly stood and observed the changes in both his armor and the wind. He looked toward the direction of the Fortress, and began walking. His mighty new Dragon Buster propped on his shoulder, and a new resolve in his mind. "Reciou....I'm coming to get you...."

*she glared back at Victor as he left before turning her back to Ha Des and angrily ignoring him. as soon as he grabbed her by the hair and started pulling her toward the cage she kicked at him furiously for him to let go. she lightly rubbed her head after he threw her in the cage and locked the door before standing up angrily. she then stuck her tongue out at him tauntingly and then turned her back to him in rejection of him and his words. she scoffed lightly at him as if he were a joke and no real threat to her while keeping her back turned to him. she seemed even more unruly than before she broke out the first time. she smiled as she kept her back to him, her refusing to waste her words or time on him. she crossed her arms as she stood there angrily ignoring him seeming as if she wasnt afraid of him one bit.*

"Yes, this is his grave." Xain and Neo walked to his spirit. Xain looked up and pulled the Ojamas away from the spirit. "Master, I must find out where the Stones of Reincarnation are hidden." The spirit slowly looked down at Xain and Neo. "Ah, the Rebirth Stones. Here. On this map are the 7 Stones of Reincarnation. However, the Statue of Rebirth is not on it. Once you find the 7 Reincarnation Stones, the location of the statue will light up on the map." Xain held the map tight. "Thank you master. We must be going now." The Dark Sage's spirit nodded. "Farewell." The spirit disappeared. Xain looked at Neo and the Ojamas. "Well, we should go and find Dex and Reciou." They walked out of the cave a towards a ruined village. Neo pointed at it. "Whoa, what happened there?" Xain closed his eyes. "Ha Des did it. Hey...wait a minute...The Dark Paladin?!? Come on!" Xain and the others ran towards the figure walking towards Ha Des' Fortress.

In the Fortress:

Ha Des became infuriated with Reciou, and he reached into the cage and grabbed her hair again, this time yanking her into the bars. "You little witch! How dare you disrespect me!" He scolded her, his voice raging. "Sindri! Prepare the extraction!" He let go of Reciou's hair and turned to his Sorcerer, whom replied, "But, Lord....if we extract her too soon, it could deteriorate before the ritual!" Ha Des stormed over to Sindri, grabbing his throat and slamming him against the wall. "Do as I say, or I'll extract YOUR energy!!" Ha Des growled angrily. Sindri gulped and responded, "Y-Yes L-Lord!!"

Near the village:

Dex stopped, feeling another presence coming towards him. He turned slowly, brandishing his sword with both hands. The eyes in his helmet were glowing ominously as he faced the others coming towards him. "Do not interfere..." he said, his voice deep and distorted. The orbs on his armor and sword began glowing with dark energy, it soon surrounding his entire body. "Do not interfere..." he repeated. Dex's mind was completely consumed by Orion's dark energy, and he would not let anyone get in the way of his mission.

OOC: Forgot to tell Doom that I'm borrowing his character.

Xain stopped and looked closely at the Dark Paladin. "Wait....Dex? What happened? Why are you so, dark?" The three Ojamas hid behind Xain, looking at Dex again from time to time. "Where's Reciou? Is she in the fortress?" Neo held his sword up in case Dex attacked. Xain did the same with the energy in his staff.

*she cringed in pain as he pulled her against the bars, her gritting her teeth angrily to hold in the pain. as soon as he let go of her she fell to all fours in the cage, her hair hanging around her face hiding it somewhat. she listened as Ha Des seemed to be really enraged, and she scoffed again at him still seeming unafraid of his plans for her. she slowly stood up again, keeping her back facing toward him. meanwhile, Hazel had been flying around to every window he could see, after many tries he found her as he peeked through the window over at her. she signaled to him to find Dex, bring him back here, and let him know that its urgent. she could barely see Hazel nod through the window and watched what little of him she could see disappear as he flew off quickly to find Dex.* 'do you honestly think taking my energy away will make me respect you... that just makes me revere you only as that much more of a coward... take my energy and foolishly think that it will not deteriorate before the ritual... i wish you to, so that when the time comes you shall be without...' she spoke to Ha Des arrogantly for the first time. *she kept her back turned to him out of disrespect before speaking again.* 'you cant make me fear you like the others, they only respect you out of self preservation. i, however, will not respect you... even if it costs me my life.' *she crossed her arms again still seeming unafraid of him and his threats.*

In the Fortress:

Ha Des turned to face Reciou as she spoke. "Foolish little girl...I don't want your respect, I simply want your energy, and I want you to die!" Sindri hurriedly ran out of the chamber, going to get the extraction machine. "When Sindri returns, we will have more than enough dark energy for half of the ritual..." He kicked the cage as hard as he could, making it rock back and forth. Just then, another magician, looking very much like Reciou stepped in, holding a goblet with red liquid. Ha Des turned and looked at his servant. "Ah, at least one of your kind can do a good job." he said insultingly. He took the goblet from the spellcaster, then smacked her across her face, knocking her down. "Ha! Stupid girl!" He turned back towards Reciou, the Magician's Valkyria sitting on the floor, rubbing her face. "You see, it doesn't matter if they respect me or not...those that cross me will die, and those that serve me without fail live....That's why you will die today!"

In the forest near the village:

The energy surrounding Dex grew, expanding to an enormous aura almost reaching Xain and the others. "Do...not....interfere!" he repeated again. He prepared to attack them, but Hazel the Winged Kuriboh flew down in front of Dex. Dex stopped, seeing the poor Kuriboh trembling in fear from Dex's new power. Dex lowered his sword and powered down, listening to Hazel's thoughts. "Reciou..." he said quietly to himself. He then turned and began walking toward the Fortress again, ignoring Xain and Neo completely. Hazel reluctantly followed him, hoping that Reciou would still be alright when they get there.

*she looked back over her shoulder at the Magician's Valkyria sitting on the floor before looking away. she didnt know who to be more angry at, Ha Des for slapping the Magician's Valkyria or the Magician's Valkyria for taking it and doing nothing about it. she turned away from Ha Des, her no longer seeming interested in what he had to say and continued to ignore him. she looked out the window silently hoping Dex would make it to her before they extracted her energy.* she thought to herself, 'he better get here soon...'

"Damn! Neo, Ojamas, stay back. I'll take care of this fool." Xain used the energy he had charged up earlier to blast Zinros, but the attack failed. Xain looked up and saw a figure coming down from the sky. When it landed, a pillar of fire came up from the ground. A swordsman in red armor stood up from where the fire came.

In front of the Fortress:

Dex looked up at Zinros, stopping and pointing his sword at him. "Get out of my way..." he said to his new opponent. Hazel flew from behind Dex and hid in a tree some distance away. "You are my enemy, and therefore you must die!" Dex charged at Zinros, swinging his blade fiercely at him.

In Ha Des' chamber:

The magician girl picked herself off the floor, still holding her cheek, and quickly walked out of the chamber. Ha Des looked down at Reciou, saying "It won't be long now....Soon all of your suffering will be over. You should be thankful, being given a short, almost painless death." He kicked the cage again, and walked to the opposite side of the room.

*she continued to stand there with her arms crossed and her back to him. she ignored him angrily as she kept looking out the window. she hoped Dex would make it before she ended up half dead.* she thinks to herself, 'Orion... i wish you were still here...' *she then looks at the floor of the cage as she rubs her thumb across the engraving of her name in her wand. she seemed to be deep in thought and distant from everything that was going on around her.*
