Before reading I just wanted to let you know that snowyash07's character, Akiro Maiku, will be featured in this chapter. This is the first chapter in which a character submitted by someone else appears in my story. Happy reading y'all!

 

Chapter 7: Wrath of the Wolf

As Damon and Lenny were walking, they found an open path that looks like would lead to anywhere on the island. "Damon, should we take the path?" Lenny queried.

 

"What are you asking for? I'm tired of walking through trees and vines and twigs. Let's take the pathway." Damon replied.

 

As they took the first step on the path, Lenny felt a little tug on his leg and then a seething pain. "AHH…! …My leg!" Lenny looked down and there was an innocent puppy munching down on the back of Lenny's lower leg. "AH…! Get him off, get him off, get him off!" Lenny shouted.

 

"Would you just hold still?" Damon tensely put. Then a voice shouted out calling a name.

 

"Lycan? Lycan, where are you, boy?" Immediately, the pup let go of Lenny's leg and ran toward the owner. "Thank you, I've been looking for him all day."

 

"Your dumb mutt bit my leg!" Lenny exclaimed. Damon covered his hand with his face.

 

"Dumb mutt…?! I'll have you know that Lycan is very sensitive!" The stranger uttered.

 

"That doesn't give it an excuse to gnaw on my leg like it was supper!" Lenny barked.

 

"I was going to apologize but now I think you're just nothing but a jerk!"

 

"I'll make you eat those words. Just like that stupid dog ate my leg!"

 

"You're the one who's going to eat his words!"

 

"DUEL!" Both said in unison.

 

Lenny: 4000 LP

Stranger: 4000 LP

 

Lenny: I'll start things off. [draws a card] I summon UFO Turtle in Attack Mode!

 

UFO Turtle: 1400 ATK

 

Damon(IM): From what I remember in other duels, UFO Turtle happens to be Lenny's favorite opening move. When that duelist over there attacks and sends UFO Turtle to the Graveyard, Lenny can summon a Fire monster straight from his deck to the field.

Lenny: I'll then throw a card face-down and end my turn! Let's see what you got.

Stranger: Okay, here I go. [draws a card] I summon Werewolf Hunter!

 

Werewolf Hunter: 2000 ATK

 

Lenny: Yikes! That's a powerful monster!

Stranger: Now my wolf, attack him directly!

Lenny: Say what?!

Stranger: My Werewolf Hunter can bypass your monsters and hit you directly.

Lenny: Oh boy! [Werewolf Hunter strikes Lenny] Urgh!

 

Lenny: (-1000) 3000 LP

 

Lenny: Huh? I only took 1000 damage instead of 2000.

Stranger: That's because whenever my Werewolf Hunter does battle damage, the damage is halved during calculation.

Damon(IM):Wow, by avoiding Lenny's UFO Turtle and going straight for his Life Points, this duelist gained a quick lead.

Lenny: Well that's a relief. Who are you anyway?

Stranger: How rude of me. I am Akiro Maiku.

Lenny: The Regional Champion of Japan?!

Damon: Boy, Lenny, you sure know how to pick your opponents.

Lenny: Shut up! How was I supposed to know that I would bump into a regional champ?!

Akiro: Well maybe you wouldn't be in such a predicament if you didn't shoot off your big mouth.

Lenny: Why you…I'll show you who has a big mouth.

Akiro: I place a card of my own face-down, your move.

Lenny: You'll pay for that move and that remark! [draws a card] UFO Turtle, attack Werewolf Hunter!

Akiro: What the…?

 

UFO Turtle: 1400 ATK

Werewolf Hunter: 2000 ATK

[uFO Turtle is destroyed in battle]

 

Lenny: Heh heh heh. (-600) 2400 LP

 

Akiro: Why did you do that? Wait, I get it. With my monster attacking directly, I didn't give your turtle a chance to activate its ability.

Lenny: He knows about my UFO Turtle's special ability?

Akiro: Go ahead, summon your Fire monster.

Lenny: Okay, I will! I use UFO Turtle's effect to Special Summon Solar Flare Dragon!

 

Solar Flare Dragon: 1500 ATK

 

Lenny: I then move to my second Main Phase by summoning a second Solar Flare Dragon!

 

Solar Flare Dragon: 1500 ATK

 

I then place another card face-down and end my turn. And that's where my dragons' ability kicks in. During each of my End Phases, my Solar Flare Dragons will each burn 500 points off your total.

 

Akiro: Urgh! (-1000) 3000 LP

 

Lenny: Your move.

Akiro: Nice move. [draws a card] I summon Contradictory Werewolf in Attack Mode!

 

Contradictory Werewolf: 1900 ATK

 

Akiro: And now my Werewolf Hunter will hit you directly again!

Lenny: Not again. [Werewolf Hunter strikes Lenny]

 

Lenny: Ah! (-1000) 1400 LP

Akiro: And now, my Contradictory Werewolf, attack the Solar Flare Dragon on the right!

 

Contradictory Werewolf: 1900 ATK

Solar Flare Dragon: 1500 ATK

[A fiery wall blocks Contradictory Werewolf]

 

Akiro: What's going on?

Lenny: Gee, with your knowledge of UFO Turtle I thought you'd have knowledge on most of my monsters, but I guess not. My Solar Flare Dragons can't be attacked if I have another Pyro-Type monster on my side of the field. And since they're both Pyro-Types, neither of them can be touched.

Akiro: Nice strategy.

Lenny: Thanks.

Akiro: But that won't save you for long. I end my turn.

Lenny: And I begin mine. [draws a card] I activate my Field Spell Card, Molten Destruction!

Akiro: Uh oh.

Lenny: This field card boosts the ATK of all Fire monsters on the field by 500!

 

Solar Flare Dragon: 2000 ATK

Solar Flare Dragon: 2000 ATK

 

Akiro: Not good.

Lenny: But the party's only started, I summon Raging Flame Sprite!

 

Raging Flame Sprite: 600 ATK

 

Akiro: What does he do?

Lenny: Wow, another monster you don't know about. My Raging Flame Sprite does exactly what your Werewolf Hunter does; he bypasses monsters and hits my opponent directly.

Akiro: No way!

Lenny: But before I do that, I equip my flame sprite with this: Salamandra! This equip card boosts a Fire monster's ATK by 700!

 

Raging Flame Sprite: 1300 ATK

 

Lenny: Now, my flame sprite, attack him directly!

Akiro: Not so fast!

Lenny: What?

Akiro: I activate my face-down, Hallowed Life Barrier!

Lenny: What's that?

Akiro: I discard a card to the Graveyard to make all damage I take this turn become 0. And that includes the effect of your Solar Flares.

Lenny: No way! Crud! Fine, I end my turn.

Damon: Lenny, you moron! You could have done damage to his monsters!

Lenny: But he stopped all damage.

Akiro: To my Life Points.

Lenny: Oh great, now you tell me.

Akiro: Too late now, it's my move. [draws a card] I now activate the spell card Wolf's Bane!

Lenny: Wolf's Bane?

Akiro: For each monster on my side of the field that has "Werewolf" in its name, I get to destroy one card!

Lenny: What?! Oh no!

Akiro: I choose to destroy the both of your Solar Flare Dragons!

Lenny: No, not that! [both Solar Flare Dragons are destroyed]

Akiro: And now my Contradictory Werewolf will destroy your Raging Flame Sprite!

 

Contradictory Werewolf: 1900 ATK

Raging Flame Sprite: 1300 ATK

 

Lenny: I activate Enchanted Javelin! I increase my Life Points by the same amount as your Werewolf's ATK points.

 

Lenny: (+1900) 3300 LP

 

Akiro: Yes, but your monster is still destroyed and you still take the damage.

Lenny: Yeah, I know. [Raging Flame Sprite is destroyed in battle]

 

Lenny: (-600) 2700 LP

 

Akiro: And now my Werewolf Hunter will hit you directly! [Werewolf Hunter strikes Lenny]

 

Lenny: Urgh! (-1000) 1700 LP

 

Akiro: I shall end my turn by placing a card face-down, your move.

Lenny: Come on, get me something good! [draws a card] I place a card face-down and end my turn.

Akiro: Peculiar. [draws a card] I play Moon of the Cursed!

Lenny: What is that?

Akiro: This field card gives all Werewolf monsters a 300 ATK and DEF point boost.

 

Werewolf Hunter: 2300 ATK/1500 DEF

Contradictory Werewolf: 2200 ATK/1900 DEF

 

Lenny: Field Card?! Oh no, that means…!

Akiro: That means that my field card destroys yours. [Molten Destruction is destroyed]

Lenny: No!

Akiro: Now I summon Werewolf Shaman!

 

Werewolf Shaman: 1700 ATK

 

Lenny: Another werewolf, oh no.

Akiro: Now, all three of my werewolves, attack him directly and wipe him out!

Lenny: Not so fast!

Akiro: What?

Lenny: I activate Gravity Bind! All monsters that have a level of 4 or higher won't be able to attack.

Akiro: What? Holding me off won't save you.

Lenny: Quite the contrary. Holding my opponent's off usually saves me from devastating defeats.

Akiro: Very well then, I end my turn.

Lenny: Thank you. I activate my Premature Burial to bring back my Raging Flame Sprite, at the cost of 800 Life Points of course.

 

Lenny: (-800) 900 LP

Raging Flame Sprite: 100 ATK

 

Akiro: Without your field and equip cards, your flame sprite is much weaker than before.

Lenny: So what, that won't stop my flame sprite. And plus I summon Little Chimera!

 

Little Chimera: 550 DEF

 

Lenny: Its special ability increases the ATK of all Fire monsters on the field by 500 points!

 

Raging Flame Sprite: 600 ATK

 

Lenny: Now, my flame sprite, let's try this again. Attack his Life Points directly!

Akiro: Errr…[Raging Flame Sprite strikes Akiro]

 

Akiro: (-600) 2400 LP

 

Lenny: Alright, I got him.

Akiro: Nicely played.

Lenny: Thanks. Gravity Bind and Raging Flame Sprite happen to be one of my favorite combos.

Akiro: I can see why.

Lenny: Anyway, back to the duel. Since my Raging Flame Sprite was successful in attacking your Life Points directly, his attack points go up by 1000.

 

Raging Flame Sprite: (+1000) 1600 ATK

 

Lenny: I end my turn.

Akiro: Very well. [draws a card] I'm sorry, Lenny, but I'm afraid it's the end for you.

Lenny: Uh oh, what do you have?

Akiro: I activate Magical Stone Excavation. I discard 2 cards from my hand to add one Spell Card to my hand from the Graveyard. [discards 2 cards] I bring back Wolf's Bane.

Lenny: Oh no!

Akiro: Wolf's Bane, activate! I shall destroy Gravity Bind, Raging Flame Sprite, and Little Chimera.

Lenny: No! [All the mentioned cards are destroyed]

Akiro: It was a pleasure dueling you. You dueled with heart, but next time you shouldn't rush into every battle just to prove yourself.

Lenny: Okay.

Akiro: Werewolf Hunter, Contradictory Werewolf, Werewolf Shaman, all of you attack Lenny directly and wipe out the rest of his Life Points.

Lenny: Oh man. [All 3 monsters strike Lenny]

 

Lenny: (-the rest) 0 LP

 

Final Result:

Akiro: 2400 LP

Lenny: 0 LP

 

Lenny then dropped his head down in defeat. "Man, now there's only 2 more losses to suffer and I'm off this island. I thought I was in good shape."

 

Akiro then placed his hand on Lenny's shoulder. "You only lost because, mentally, you weren't completely up for the challenge. Lenny, if there's one thing I've learned about being at the top is that you shouldn't rush into anything. You must first meditate whether or not you truly want to challenge another duelist, and first and most important of all, you must know the duelist's name."

 

Lenny laughs and scratches his head. "Yeah, sorry about that. So are we cool?" Lenny held out his hand.

 

Akiro then accepted the handshake. "Yeah, we're cool. But be sure to use my advice, it'll save you some really embarrassing defeats in the future, and try not to use your best strategies the beginning. See if you can bring your opponent down with your weaker strategies first."

 

Lenny then nodded. "Thanks for the tip, Akiro. I wish you good luck on your journey to the castle."

 

"And I hope you succeed in your ventures. I hope to see you there, Lenny." Akiro smiled and walked off.

 

Damon then walked up beside Lenny. "To be honest, Lenny, I thought you did pretty well against a Regional Champion.

 

Lenny smiled. "Really…?"

 

Damon nodded. "But the tips he gave you were quite true. I dueled Winston and Mizura because I knew I stood more than enough a chance of beating them. After that, it's all up to you."

 

Suddenly there was a shriek of terror, a female voice. Lenny was flabbergasted. "What the hell was that?"

 

Damon looked worried. "I don't know but that voice sounded familiar, let's go."

 

"Right…" Lenny said. And off both went into the forest where the shriek came from. Who screamed? And why was that voice familiar to Damon? Find out in Chapter 8: A Wicked Battle.

Chapter 8: A Wicked Battle (Part I)

Damon and Lenny were rushing towards the direction where the shriek of terror came from. As they went into the forest they saw silhouettes of two duelists deeper inside the wilderness. As they got closer, they saw Mizura on her knees. And a male duelist with glasses was standing over her in victory. "I won, now hand me your deck."

 

Mizura was depressed. "Here." She handed the deck to the duelist and dropped all the cards.

 

"Worthless, you don't have a darn thing useful in here!" The duelist barked.

 

When they heard that, Damon and Lenny leaped out of the woodwork. Damon was angry. "What did she ever do to you, nerdo?!"

 

"Nerdo?! How dare you!!!!" The person said.

 

"How dare you! She was depressed enough as it is!" Damon replied.

 

"Aw, how cute. You have a crush?" The person said.

 

Damon blushed. "No, what are you talking about?" Then he looked over at Mizura. She was still on her knees looking down to the ground, oblivious to this entire conversation, likely in a minor catatonic state. "In any case, I'm gonna make you pay for emotionally stomping on her."

 

"Nothing personal, it's business." The stranger said.

 

"Nothing personal…?! Who the hell do you think you are?!" Damon angrily shouted

 

"My name is Jeff Holstrom."

 

"Well, Jeff. You're going down, I promise it."

 

"Try, if you can."

 

"Let's duel!"

 

Jeff: 4000 LP

Damon: 4000 LP

 

Jeff: I'll start things off. [draws a card] I'll place a monster face-down and end my turn.

Damon: That's all? [draws a card] I summon Archfiend Soldier!

 

Archfiend Soldier: 1900 ATK

 

Damon: Attack!

Jeff: Aw, too bad.

Damon: What?

Jeff: You rammed right into my Battle Footballer.

 

Battle Footballer: 2100 DEF

 

Damon: Damn.

Jeff: You lost 200 Life Points for that meaningless attack.

 

Damon: (-200) 3800 LP

 

Damon: Fine then, I'll place a card face-down and end my turn.

Jeff: Okay. [draws a card] I place another monster face-down and end my turn.

Damon: Are you gonna hide behind your monsters forever?

Jeff: I'm just biding my time.

Damon: Okay, we'll play it your way. [draws a card]

Jeff(IM): What is he talking about?

Damon: I switch my Archfiend Soldier to Defense.

 

Archfiend Soldier: 1500 DEF

 

Damon: I also place a monster of my own face-down, your move.

Jeff(IM): What could he be planning? [draws a card] Excellent, I drew this card earlier than expected, this will make him miserable.

Damon(IM): What's he smiling about?

Jeff: I place another monster face-down and end my turn.

Damon: Okay. [draws a card] I Flip Summon the Gravekeeper's Guard!

 

Gravekeeper's Guard: 1000 ATK

 

Damon: His special ability allows me to select one monster on your side of the field and return it to your hand!

Jeff: What?!

Damon: And I'll pick the most recent monster you just laid down.

Jeff: Darn you.

Damon: That's not all. I sacrifice my Gravekeeper's Guard and Archfiend Soldier to bring forth my Tyrant Dragon!

 

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

 

Jeff: Oh no!

Damon: Now, my dragon…! Attack Battle Footballer with Erupting Fire Blast!

 

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Battle Footballer: 2100 DEF

[battle Footballer is destroyed in battle]

 

Jeff: No.

Damon: The fun's not over yet. If there's still another monster on your side of the field after my dragon attacks, it can attack again.

Jeff: Errrr…

Damon: Tyrant Dragon, blow that face-down monster away!

Jeff: Thank you!

Damon: What?!

Jeff: By attacking my face-down monster, you activated its special ability. My monster was Kisetai!

Damon: No, not Kisetai!

Jeff: Watch as it raps around your monster feeding me half of its attack points each of your turns, your Standby Phase to by precise.

Damon: I end my turn.

Jeff: Good. [draws a card] I summon Revival Jam in Defense Mode!

 

Revival Jam: 500 DEF

 

Damon: Curses! One annoying monster after another! No matter how many times I destroy that monster in battle, it'll just keep coming right back!

Jeff: Exactly! I'll also play one card face-down, your turn.

Damon: Fine. [draws a card]

Jeff: Now it's your Standby Phase! Kisetai increases my Life Points by half of Tyrant Dragon's ATK!

 

Jeff: (+1450) 5450 LP

 

Damon: Damn you. Tyrant Dragon, attack Revival Jam with Erupting Fire Blast!

 

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Revival Jam: 500 DEF

[Revival Jam is destroyed in battle but comes right back]

 

Jeff: When will you get it? You won't win.

Damon: I'll find a way to beat you soon enough. I summon Luster Dragon and end my turn.

 

Luster Dragon: 1900 ATK

 

Jeff: My turn. [draws a card] I place another monster face-down and end my turn.

Damon: My move! [draws a card]

Jeff: And now that it's your Standby Phase, Kisetai's special ability activates again, giving me 1450 more Life Points!

 

Jeff: (+1450) 6900 LP

 

Jeff: And who knows what my face-down monster is.

Damon: I have to find out what that face-down monster is. If it's a high-defense monster, my Tyrant Dragon will wipe it out! Tyrant Dragon, attack the face-down monster with Erupting Fire Blast!

Jeff: You fool.

Damon: What?!

Jeff: You attacked a second Kisetai!

Damon: No way!!!

Jeff: And since your Tyrant Dragon was the one that attacked it, it equips to your monster. And now that there are two Kisetais attached to your dragon, I will gain 2900 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases! HAHAHAHAHA!

Damon: Damn. I end my turn.

Jeff: My turn. [draws a card]

Jeff(IM): I can't believe that I drew this already! Now I better work on getting this monster out. The legendary Wicked Eraser!

Jeff: I place another monster face-down, your move.

Damon: Alright! [draws a card]

Jeff: Behold! 2900 more points are added on to my total!

 

Jeff: (+2900) 9800 LP

 

Lenny: He has almost 10,000 Life Points! Unreal!!!!

Damon: I shall sacrifice my two dragons to bring out another Tyrant Dragon!

 

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

 

Damon: Now what were you saying about you getting stronger off my dragon?

Jeff: You're not free yet. Activate Trap Card! Inheritance!

Damon: Huh?

Jeff: I can only activate this card when a monster equipped with an equip card is sent to the Graveyard.

Damon: But I equipped nothing onto either of my monsters.

Jeff: Aren't you forgetting Kisetai?

Damon: What?

Jeff: When you attack Kisetai, its ability cancels battle damage and it becomes an equip card. Since you offered your equipped Tyrant Dragon, both of my Kisetais would go to the Graveyard but thanks to my Trap Card, I can save one of them and equip it to your newly summoned dragon.

Damon: You're kidding.

Jeff: So, I will still gain 1450 Life Points during each of your turns.

Damon: Not really.

Jeff: Why? What do you mean?

Damon: I activate my trap! Dust Tornado!

Jeff: What?!

Damon: Dust Tornado can destroy 1 Spell or Trap on your side of the field. Now I can destroy that annoying leech once and for all. [Kisetai is destroyed]

Jeff: Why you…

Damon: You won't be gaining any more Life Points, Jeff.

Jeff: Maybe, maybe not. But I still have more than enough Life Points to bring you down.

 

Jeff: 9800 LP

Damon: 3800 LP

 

Damon: If you're depending on something as trivial as Life Points, then you're gonna go down sooner than you think.

Jeff: Explain.

Damon: You'll know soon enough.

Jeff: Just continue your turn.

Damon: Gladly. Tyrant Dragon, attack the face-down monster! [destroys the monster in battle]

Jeff: You attacked my Peten the Dark Clown.

Damon: Peten the Dark Clown?

Jeff: You heard me.

Damon: What does it do?

Jeff: When sent to the Graveyard, Peten can be removed from the game to Special Summon another Peten on the field.

 

Peten the Dark Clown: 1200 DEF

 

Damon: Attacking him directly seems almost impossible. What can I do to stop him?

 

Jeff has been controlling this entire duel with a defensive strategy and luring Damon to be offensive. Can Damon win this duel? Or is this duel far too gone to win? All this and more will be revealed in part 2.

Sorry for the absence of boldness and/or color, but I was in a hurry to post this chapter. I will be busy for a couple days and this was the last chance I got to do anything. Forgive me :( lol

 

Chapter 9: A Wicked Battle (Part II)

Jeff: 9800 LP

Damon: 3800 LP

 

Jeff: You mind as well give up. You can't win. With the amount of Life Points I have, I'm unstoppable.

Damon: Just keep telling yourself that, so I can crush you.

Jeff: Whatever. Just continue your turn.

Damon: Gladly. Since there are still monsters on your side of the field, Tyrant Dragon can attack again. Attack another Peten with Erupting Fire Blast!

 

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Peten the Dark Clown: 1200 DEF

[Peten is destroyed in battle]

 

Jeff: Remember, I can summon another one in its place.

 

Peten the Dark Clown: 1200 DEF

 

Damon: I will summon Flame Ruler and place two cards face-down and call it a turn.

 

Flame Ruler: 1500 ATK

 

Mizura: Damon?

Lenny: Huh? Mizura! You've snapped out of it!

Mizura: Where are we? Wait…I remember. I lost a duel against that guy. Why is Damon dueling him?

Lenny: To avenge your honor.

Mizura: But he barely knows me. Why would he do that?

Lenny: That's Damon for ya.

Damon(IM): Huh? Mizura's coherent. Good, I was afraid that we would have to have taken her to the hospital.

Jeff(IM): I thought I was through with her. Oh well.

Jeff: [draws a card] I place another monster face-down and a card face-down, your move.

Damon(IM): I must continue to plow through his defense if I want to have even a remote chance of victory.

Damon: [draws a card] Tyrant Dragon, attack the face-down monster! [destroyed a monster]

Jeff: Thank you!

Damon: Now what?

Jeff: You attacked Nimble Momonga!

Damon: What?!

Jeff: Thanks to that attack, Nimble Momonga increases my Life Points by 1000.

 

Jeff: (+1000) 10800 LP

 

Lenny: Now he's over 10,000!!!!

Mizura: This is exactly how he beat me, by making his Life Points nearly intangible!

Jeff: And plus, Nimble Momonga also allows me to Special Summon 2 others of its kind from my deck.

 

Nimble Momonga: 1000 DEF

Nimble Momonga: 1000 DEF

 

Damon: This is insane.

Jeff: Are you finished yet? I'm growing bored.

Damon: Go.

Jeff: [draws a card] Time to lose.

Damon: What do you mean?

Jeff: I shall summon the monster that will destroy you.

Damon: What?

Mizura: Watch out, Damon! It’s the monster he beat me with!

Jeff: That's right! Now I shall sacrifice Revival Jam, Peten the Dark Clown, and one of my Nimble Momongas to summon one of the mightiest creatures of the game!

Damon: Huh?

Jeff: The one! The only! Wicked Eraser!!!!

 

The Wicked Eraser: 4000 ATK

 

Damon: What the…!!!!!

Jeff: Impressive isn't it?

Lenny: That's a Wicked God Card!

Mizura: Lenny, this is no time to compliment the monster!

Lenny: No, that's what type of card it is.

Mizura: What do you mean?

Lenny: It's like this. Everyone knows that there are two groups of monsters that dominate over the entire game. One group is known as the Egyptian God Cards. Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon and, of course, The Winged Dragon of Ra were the first group of monsters that were legendary and almost unbeatable. But of course, there was a second group of monsters made to help balance the power in the game of Duel Monsters. Those three monsters were known as the Sacred Beasts: Raviel the Lord of Phantasms, Uria the Lord of Searing Flames, and Hamon the Lord of Striking Thunder. They say the Sacred Beasts were made for several different reasons: world domination, power, or to simply just take down the Egyptian Gods. But there was rumored to be a third group of monsters made to keep the other two groups in check, as kind of a checks-and-balances thing, but I never knew for sure. They were known as the Wicked God Cards. They were originally made to be actual negative alter-egos to the Egyptian God Cards.

Mizura: And which Egyptian God is this Wicked God's counterpart?

Lenny: I'm not sure. But if I were to guess, because of the slim dragon-like shape, it would have to be the counterpart of Slifer the Sky Dragon.

Jeff: How right you are! The Wicked Eraser is Slifer's negative counterpart.

Damon: Explain.

Jeff: Like Slifer and Uria, The Wicked Eraser's ATK and DEF increase by a certain number of cards in a certain place. Slifer gets its strength from the controller's hand, Uria gains its strength from the controller's Graveyard, and lastly, The Wicked Eraser gains its strength from my opponent's field.

Damon: What?

Jeff: Look around and think hard. Do you find any correspondence between the number of cards on your side of the field and my monster's ATK strength?

Damon: …

Jeff: Come on, you can do it.

Damon: You're monster gains 1000 points for each card on the field that I control.

Jeff: Excellent! You've hit the nail on the head!

Damon: Thanks for telling me, I can just use my cards up quickly and have less cards on my side of the field, and then your monster will have a mediocre, if not, nada ATK power.

Jeff: You think I didn't put that into my strategy?

Damon: Hm?

Jeff: Sure, The Wicked Eraser's ability can be a big liability, but I still worked that into my strategy.

Damon: Oh really?

Jeff: Oh yes, now on with the duel. Wicked Eraser, demonstrate your great power and destroy Tyrant Dragon! Destructive Blaze!

 

The Wicked Eraser: 4000 ATK

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

 

Damon: Not so fast, Jeff!

Jeff: What?

Damon: Activate trap! Draining Shield!

Jeff: Oh no!

Damon: It stops your monster's attack and adds it to my Life Points.

 

Damon: (+4000) 7800 LP

 

Lenny: Yeah, Damon! Way to go!

Mizura: Woo!

Lenny: Now you're Life Points are closer to his!

Jeff: For now perhaps.

Damon: And because there's one less card on my side of the field. Your Wicked Eraser loses ATK strength.

 

The Wicked Eraser: (-1000) 3000 ATK

 

Lenny: At this rate, he might just win this thing. Go Damon!

Jeff: Your peanut gallery is really starting to wear my patience thin! I place a card face-down and end my turn.

Damon: Okay, here it goes. [draws a card] I switch my Tyrant Dragon and Flame Ruler to defense mode.

 

Tyrant Dragon: 2500 DEF

Flame Ruler: 1600 DEF

 

Jeff: I see you've finally come to your senses.

Damon: Dream on. Activate Zero Gravity!

Jeff: What does that do?

Damon: It switches the battle positions of all face-up monsters on the field.

Jeff: What?

Damon: So both my monsters go to attack while your Wicked God goes to defense

 

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Flame Ruler: 1500 ATK

The Wicked Eraser: 3000 DEF

 

Damon: And because I used up another card, your Wicked God loses a thousand more points.

 

The Wicked Eraser: (-1000) 2000 DEF

 

Jeff: Crud.

Damon: Tyrant Dragon, blow away The Wicked Eraser with Erupting Fire Blast!

 

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

The Wicked Eraser: 2000 DEF

[The Wicked Eraser is destroyed in battle]

 

Mizura: Alright, Damon!

Lenny: You da man!

Damon: What are you gonna do now? [suddenly, Tyrant Dragon, Flame Ruler and Nimble Momonga are destroyed] What the…? What happened?!

Jeff: I can explain that.

Damon: What have you done?!

Jeff: It's what you've done. They don't call it The Wicked Eraser for nothing you know.

Damon: Tell me!

Jeff: When you destroyed my Wicked Eraser, his most devastating ability activates. When destroyed, The Wicked Eraser destroys every card on the field and deals 400 points of damage to my opponent for each card sent to the Graveyard by its effect.

 

Damon: (-1200) 6600 LP

 

Damon: Oh well, in any case, I got rid of your Wicked God Card.

Jeff: He's not gone for good.

Damon: What?

Jeff: You'll see!

Damon: Your move.

Jeff: Why thank you. [draws a card] I summon Chaos Necromancer!

 

Chaos Necromancer: 2700 ATK

 

Damon: 2700 ATK?!

Jeff: My Chaos Necromancer gains 300 points for each monster card in my Graveyard. Chaos Necromancer, attack him directly! [Chaos Necromancer strikes Damon]

 

Damon: Ah! (-2700) 3900 LP

 

Jeff: Your move.

Damon: [draws a card] I activate Brain Control!

Jeff: Oh no!

Damon: At the cost of 800 Life Points…

 

Damon: (-800) 3100 LP

 

Damon: …I can take control of your Necromancer.

Jeff: Errrrr…

Damon: And I sacrifice him…

Jeff: What?! No fair?!

Damon: To bring forth Kaiser Glider!

 

Kaiser Glider: 2400 ATK

 

Jeff: Oh no.

Damon: Kaiser Glider, attack him directly! [Kaiser Glider blasts Jeff]

 

Jeff: Ugh! (-2400) 8400 LP

 

Lenny: Way to stick it to him, Damon!

Mizura: Alright!

Jeff: You'll pay for that!

Damon: Yeah right. I place two cards face-down and end my turn!

Jeff: You dug your own grave. [draws a card] I use Premature Burial to bring back the Chaos Necromancer!

 

Jeff: (-800) 7600 LP

Chaos Necromancer: 2700 ATK

 

Jeff: Now, attack Kaiser Glider!

Damon: Not so fast!

Jeff: What?!

Damon: I activate Rush Recklessly! This will give my Kaiser Glider a much needed boost! Kaiser Glider, attack!

 

Kaiser Glider: 3100 ATK

Chaos Necromancer: 2700 ATK

[Chaos Necromancer is destroyed in battle]

 

Jeff: Why you… (-400) 7200 LP

Damon: My move! [draws a card] Kaiser Glider, attack him again! [Kaiser Glider blasts Jeff again]

 

Jeff: Urgh! (-2400) 4800 LP

 

Lenny: Keep going, Damon! You're cuttin' him down to size!

Jeff: Hehehehehe…HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Damon: What's so funny?

Jeff: That you believe that you’re actually winning.

Damon: Look at the stats. I have one monster and you have none. And plus, if you're Life Points keep lowering at this rate, I WILL win.

Jeff: I told you that The Wicked Eraser isn't gone for good.

Damon: Then bring him back already. On wait, that's right, I only have one card on the field. Your Wicked God is nothing if I only have one card on the field, you're history!

Jeff: You think so? My turn… [draws a card] I activate Card Destruction! We each discard are entire hands and draws until we have the same number of cards. [both players discard and draw] I also play Card of Demise! I draw 5 cards and in 5 turns, I lose my entire hand, but I ensure that the duel will be over long before that happens. [draws 5 cards] Remember when you said that my Wicked God Card is nothing unless you have more cards on the field?

Damon: Yeah.

Jeff: Well this will change it! First I activate Soul Absorption! For each card that is removed from play, I will gain 500 Life Points. And now my second card Soul Release. I pick up to 5 cards from either Graveyard and remove them from the game. I choose 5 monsters: My three Nimble Momongas, my Revival Jam and one of my Kisetais.

 

Jeff: (+2500) 7300 LP

 

Damon: So you gained some Life Points, so what?

Jeff: I activate a second Soul Release, and this time I pick 5 monsters from your Graveyard, show it to me! [Damon shows all the monsters in his Graveyard to Jeff] Hmm…When did you get a third Tyrant Dragon in there?

Damon: When you used Card Destruction.

Jeff: I see. I remove all 3 of your Tyrant Dragons as well as Luster Dragon and Archfiend Soldier.

 

Jeff: (+2500) 9800 LP

 

Damon: What was this crap for anyway?

Jeff: You'll see soon enough. I activate Monster Reincarnation. By discarding a card I can add a monster from my Graveyard to my hand. The monster I chose was The Wicked Eraser!

Damon: You need 3 monsters to summon him you ninny!

Jeff: That's where this card comes in! Activate Dimension Fusion!

Damon: What does that do?

Jeff: It's quite simple. At the mere cost of 2000 Life Points…

 

Jeff: (-2000) 7800 LP

 

Jeff: …We both Special Summon all monsters possible that have been removed from play!

Damon: What are you stupid? You just helped me! I Special Summon my 3 Tyrant Dragons and my Luster Dragon!

 

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Luster Dragon: 1900 ATK

 

Jeff: Remember, it helps me as well. I Special Summon my 3 Nimble Momongas, my Revival Jam and a Peten.

Jeff: The final card of this combo that I activate is Spell Draft!

Damon: What is that?

Jeff: We are both required to fill as many Spell and Trap card zones as possible with the Spells and Traps in our hands.

Damon: Very well, I have 3 cards face-down along with the one that I had earlier.

Jeff: Now I sacrifice 2 of my Nimble Momongas along with my only Peten the Dark Clown to summon The Wicked Eraser!

Damon: What?!!!

Jeff: This was my plan all along!

 

The Wicked Eraser: 9000 ATK

 

Damon: Not again!!!

 

The Wicked Eraser has once again joined the fray, but stronger than ever. Can Damon beat it a second time when there's a lot more cards on his side of the field? The conclusion of the duel will be in part 3.

Sorry about the wait (again). This chapter will put an end to the 3 parter and conclude the duel between Damon and Jeff. Enjoy! Also I had to hurry posting this one so once again, no colors or boldness.

 

Speaking of which, when you leave your comment, mention what you'd prefer: color or boldness.

 

Chapter 10: A Wicked Battle (part III)

Jeff: 7800 LP

Damon: 3100 LP

 

The Wicked Eraser: 9000 ATK

Nimble Momonga: 1000 DEF

Lenny: 9000 Attack Points?!!!

Damon: Lenny, that's really not helping.

Lenny: Oh, sorry.

Jeff: You can't beat a Wicked God without paying a hefty price.

Damon: So what if it has more Attack Points than before? I can just weaken it by using up more cards on my side of the field!

Jeff: Good plan, but there is just one problem.

Damon: Oh, and what is that?

Jeff: Don't forget, I activated my Spell Draft this turn which means you just recently put cards face-down this turn, which means…that you can't activate them!

Damon: Egghhh…

Jeff: Wicked Eraser, attack the middle Tyrant Dragon with Destructive Blaze and end this duel!

 

The Wicked Eraser: 9000 ATK

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

 

Damon: Oh no you don't!

Jeff: What?

Damon: You forget, only a majority of my spells and traps have been set this turn. But there is still one card that's been on the field for more than a turn, which means I can activate it right now! Go, Negate Attack!

Jeff: Errrr…

Damon: This will stop your Wicked God's attack and end your Battle Phase right on the spot!

Jeff: So you delayed the inevitable…big deal.

Damon: And since I used up another card, your Wicked God grows weaker!

 

The Wicked Eraser: (-1000) 8000 ATK

 

Mizura(IM): I hope Damon can beat this guy. The odds are well stacked against him.

Jeff: Hmph. I'll place a card face-down and end my turn.

Damon(IM): I don't get it. Why didn't he use The Wicked Eraser's ability, the one where it destroys every card on the field and inflict 400 points of damage for each card sent to the Graveyard by its effect? Even if I destroy it in battle, its ability will still activate, leaving me with nothing left to spare. This could get really ugly.

Damon: My move! [draws a card] I activate another one of my face-down cards!

Jeff: Errnnggg…

Damon: The Transmigration Prophecy! This Trap Card allows me to select any two cards in either player's Graveyard and shuffle them back into their respective deck. Both cards I choose are in my Graveyard.

Jeff: I figured.

Damon: I pick these two cards: Draining Shield and Premature Burial!

Jeff(IM): Draining Shield?! He used that card to make his Life Points almost as high as mine. I won't let that happen again.

Damon: Unfortunately, because the two cards that I picked have been shuffled into my deck I don't have a chance of drawing them now. Except with another face-down card, Graceful Charity!

Jeff: Curses!

Damon: I draw 3 cards… (draws 3 cards) …and discard 2 cards from my hand. (discards 2 cards) And since there's 2 less cards on my side of the field, The Wicked Eraser is 2000 points weaker!

 

The Wicked Eraser: (-2000) 6000 ATK

 

Lenny: Come on, Damon.

Damon: And then I shall place two cards face-down and end my turn!

 

The Wicked Eraser: (+2000) 8000 ATK

 

Lenny: Damon, why'd you do that?!

Jeff: My move! (draws a card) I shall now activate the spell card known as Gemini Curse Removal.

Damon: What is that?

Jeff: At the cost of 1000 points, I can destroy two of your Spell or Trap cards.

 

Jeff: (-1000) 6800 LP

 

Jeff: And I think I will destroy the 2 cards that you just put down on the field!

Damon: No! (The 2 cards have been destroyed) But don't forget, that makes your Wicked God weaker!

 

The Wicked Eraser: (-2000) 6000 ATK

 

Jeff: I'm well aware of that. Now this duel will be over.

Damon: What?!

Jeff: Now I will activate my Wicked God's most devastating ability, its ability of self destruction. It will destroy itself taking everything on the field along with it to the Graveyard and deal 400 points of damage for each card destroyed! I win!

Damon: Not today, Jeff!

Jeff: You fool, it's too late! My Wicked Eraser has already begun its self destruction! There's nothing you can do!

Damon: Oh yes there is!

Jeff: Huh?

Damon: I use my last face-down card, Trap of Board Eraser!

Jeff: No way!

Damon: Since you activated an ability that would inflict damage to my Life Points, my trap keeps my Life Points safe while your Wicked God dies for no reason!

Jeff: No! (The Wicked Eraser explodes destroying everything on the field along with itself.)

Lenny: Alright, Damon!

Mizura: Nice move!

Jeff: But…that was…supposed to…work.

Damon: But it didn't. And now you'll pay for being such a worm. Now play what you have left and—

Jeff: There's nothing I can do. I end my…my turn.

Damon: What? Okay then. [draws a card] I summon Troop Dragon and place 2 cards face-down and end my turn.

 

Troop Dragon: 800 DEF

 

Jeff: [draws a card] Without my Wicked God, my hand is completely worthless!!!! I pass.

Damon: This is karma, Jeff, karma for being so cruel to others when they indeed did nothing to you.

Jeff: You fool! The souls of thousands will be consumed—[holds his throbbing head]

Damon: What?

Lenny: Okay, this guy is officially freaking me out.

Damon(IM): He can't be this morally disoriented on his own. What's going on? (Suddenly, a necklace that Jeff was wearing was glowing an ominous crimson color.)

Damon: That's it! Time to end this, Jeff! [draws a card] I will now activate Silent Doom! This spell card will bring back a monster from my Graveyard in Defense Mode! I bring back Luster Dragon!

 

Luster Dragon: 1600 DEF

 

Damon: But that's not all! I activate one of my traps, Soul Resurrection! This will also bring back a monster in Defense mode as long as it’s a Non-Effect Monster! I choose Hunter Dragon!

 

Hunter Dragon: 100 DEF

 

Damon: And now the big finish. I now activate my 3-card combo! Monster Reborn, Premature Burial and Call of the Haunted! They will each bring back a Tyrant Dragon but I have to sacrifice 1 dragon for each of their summonings, which is what I have! Now, my Tyrant Dragons! Resurface!!

 

Damon: (-800) 2300 LP

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

 

Lenny: This is too cool!

Mizura: Wow!

Damon: Combined, my dragons have a collective ATK of 8700; which is more than enough to wipe you out!

 

Tyrant Dragons: 8700 ATK

Jeff: 6800 LP

 

Jeff: Errrgh…!

Damon: Now, my dragons! Finish him off with Erupting Fire Blast! (All 3 Tyrant Dragons attack Jeff and he fades away in a fiery flash of burning justice.)

Jeff: AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

 

Jeff: 0 LP

 

Final Result:

Damon: 2300 LP

Jeff: 0 LP

 

As the smoke cleared, Jeff was lying on the ground unconscious. And Lenny and Mizura ran to Damon in happiness. They both congratulated him. "Way to beat him, man!" Lenny said.

 

"You won, you did great." Mizura said.

 

Then, Damon walked towards an incoherent Jeff. Upon inspecting Jeff's person, Damon snatched the necklace from around Jeff's neck and slammed it to the ground an smashed it with his foot.

 

Several hours later, a little past midnight, Damon and his friends were conversing about best to deal with Jeff. Mizura was shaken up about this whole ordeal. "Who can make such a thing to make people so horrible?" Mizura asked.

 

Lenny had an uncertain look on his face. "I don't know, but it can't be anything good, that's for sure. Good move smashing that necklace, man"

 

"It just seemed like the best thing to do." Damon calmly implied.

 

Suddenly, Damon and the others heard some rustling and groaning in a sleeping bag, Jeff had awakened. As soon as he yawned a stretched his arms, he rubbed his eyes. "What a weird dream." He soon looked over at Damon, Lenny and Mizura and tipped his head sideways in confusion. "Who are you guys?" Jeff politely asked.

 

Lenny was weirded out. "Whoa, it's like he's a whole 'nother person."

 

Damon stepped forward. "My name is Damon Ripley. The two you see behind me are Lenny Baxter and Mizura Nightingale." Lenny smirked and Mizura did a faint wave.

 

Jeff jumped. "I saw you three in my dream! I was dueling you and the other two were watching! But I was a horrible person."

 

Damon looked at Jeff in sympathy. "It was no dream. You were being hypnotized or possessed by a red crystal on a necklace you wore."

 

"A necklace…?" Jeff questioned. "Now I remember, I received a necklace in the mail and I put it on thinking it was a good luck charm. Was I really possessed?"

 

"Oh yeah." Lenny chuckled. "You were quite the cruel and scary guy."

 

"Oh no, I hope I didn't hurt anybody." Jeff said concernedly

 

"No, not that much harm was done. Although there was one person you said horrible things to." Damon stated.

 

"I remember. It was the girl." Jeff said as he looked at Mizura. He then walked over to her and held out his hand. "Will you accept my apology…Mizura?"

 

Mizura was hesitant. She was remembering the bad things that Jeff said to her when he was possessed. "You said horrible things, hurtful things…But since it wasn't really you, I accept your apology." She grabbed Jeff's hand shook it.

 

Damon and Lenny were relaxed. It was as though no damage was done. Lenny smiled and Damon kept his usual calm straight face. "So, what happens now? You wanna tag along with us, Jeff?"

 

"Thanks for the offer, but there are some things I wish to sort out first. Then after that, maybe I'll take you up on that offer, Lenny." Jeff said. He was about to walk away until he remembered something, he then turned to Damon. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Since you beat me in a duel, you get to search my deck for a card as your prize." Jeff said as he was handing out his deck.

 

Damon shook his head. "No, it wasn't official, at least not in my book. You can keep your card; I have no intention of taking anything."

 

"Are you sure?" Jeff asked.

 

"Yeah, I'm sure." Damon replied.

 

"Alright then, thanks." Jeff said.

 

"No problem, take care of yourself out there." Damon implied.

 

"Okay, bye! Thanks, everyone!" Jeff shouted.

 

"See ya, Jeff!" Lenny yelled.

 

As Jeff walked into the wilderness, Mizura was about to go her way as well until somebody pulled her on the arm to stop her, it was Damon. "Wait, Mizura. I'd kinda like it if you stayed with us." Mizura was just about to reply but Damon interrupted. "I know you'd say that you have to find yourself, but I think you'd make better progress with us. Who knows what kind of monsters you may face out there besides a possessed Jeff. I'd really like you to come with us. I wouldn't want to see you get hurt like you were today. Come on, we could use another friend."

 

Lenny nodded. "Yeah, it'll be fun."

 

Tears were running down Mizura's cheeks. "I never met anyone who wanted my company before." Lenny was smiling and Damon let out a little bit of a grin. She wiped the tears from her eyes as she made her decision. "Okay, I'll come with you." Mizura said.

 

"Great! Let our new journey begin!" Lenny busted out with excitement. "But after some shut eye, I'm wiped." So all three got comfortable and fell asleep.

 

It seems with the events that occurred today, Damon and Lenny acquired a new companion to accompany them on their journey. What new challenges will they face next? Who will appear next? Find out in the next chapter.
