Sorry about the double post, but I just wanted to let you guys know that in between each of my story arcs there's going to a filler story, a mini-saga if you will. The fillers will provide some foreshadowing on things to come, you might even get to find out who the next main villain is going to be in the next main story arc.

Chapter 4: Solid as a Rock (part II)

Aggro: 3100 LP

Lenny: 2400 LP

Lenny: I end my turn.

Aggro: My turn then. [draws a card] I can't believe I drew this card. Now I must figure out a good time to summon it. I shall Rock Bird, in Defense Mode. (600/2100) I will also switch my Rock Spirit to Defense as well.

Lenny: Good, he's being defensive, which means I'm in control of this duel now.

Aggro: I end my turn.

Lenny: Good! [draws a card and smiles] Time to make my Baseball Kid stronger.

Aggro: What?

Lenny: I summon Little Chimera, in Defense Mode! (1100/550) This little monster increases the ATK of all Fire monsters on the field by 500!

Fox Fire: (+500 ATK) = 800 ATK

Fox Fire: (+500 ATK) = 800 ATK

Ultimate Baseball Kid: (+1500 ATK) = 4000 ATK

Aggro: Whoa! That Baseball Kid is at 4000!

Lenny: Impressive, huh? Now watch as my supped up Baseball Kid sends your Rock Bird to the Graveyard. Flaming Baseball Attack! (Baseball Kid ATK: 4000/Bird DEF: 2100) [Rock Bird is destroyed in battle]

Aggro: Good, just keep sending my Rock monsters to the Graveyard. Because then I can sic my Megarock Dragon on you.

Lenny: I shall end my turn.

Aggro: [draws a card] I pass.

Lenny: What the…fine then. [draws a card] Ultimate Baseball Kid, attack the Rock Spirit. [The Rock Spirit is destroyed in battle] I end my turn.

Aggro: [draws a card] Now the fun begins.

Lenny: What?

Aggro: I wanted you to destroy my Rock Spirit. I needed you to send enough of my monsters to the Graveyard to help me summon my Megarock Dragon!

Lenny: Megawhat?

Damon: Megarock Dragon? I've heard of that monster, his ATK and DEF are made up by the number of Rock monsters removed from the Graveyard x1000.

Aggro: I shall remove Enraged Muka Muka, Giant Soldier of Stone, Gigantes, Rock Bird, and of course the monster you just destroyed, The Rock Spirit to summon the ultimate Rock creature, Megarock Dragon! (5000/5000)

Lenny: WHAT?!

Aggro: Megarock Dragon, show him an example of your power by destroying Ultimate Baseball Kid with Rock Smash Attack! (Megarock: 5000/Baseball Kid: 4000) [ultimate Baseball Kid is destroyed in battle]

Lenny: My…my Baseball Kid.

Lenny: (-1000) 1400 LP

Damon: Wow. That must sting. However, there is one monster in Lenny's deck that can automatically send Aggro's monster to the Graveyard automatically upon making its appearance on the field.

Lenny: What now? Ultimate Baseball Kid was my ultimate weapon. Without him, I can't win this duel.

Aggro: Now that my Dragon has devastated your Baseball Kid, I'll end my turn.

Lenny: Oh man. [draws a card] I summon the Blast Magician in Defense Mode.

Blast Magician: +500 ATK= 1900/1700

Lenny: I…end my turn.

Aggro: Good. [draws a card] I summon Destroyer Golem in Attack Mode! (1500/1000) Now Destroyer Golem, attack Little Chimera with Rock Hard Stomp.

Destroyer Golem: 1500 ATK

Little Chimera: 550 DEF

[Little Chimera is destroyed in battle]

Lenny: No.

Fox Fire: (-500) = 300 ATK

Fox Fire: (-500) = 300 ATK

Blast Magician (-500) = 1400 ATK

Aggro: Looks like your strategy just burned out. Megarock Dragon, crush Blast Magician!

Megarock Dragon: 5000 ATK

Blast Magician: 1700 DEF

[blast Magician is destroyed in battle]

Aggro: You're lucky that monster was in Defense Mode, or you would've been history! I end my turn.

Lenny: No, I can't win this thing. I just can't.

Damon: Pull yourself together, you loser.

Lenny: Huh?

Damon: You haven't lost yet. There is still one card in your deck that can help you claim victory! You have all the defense you need right there on the field, now you just need the proper card to use against him, or should I say give him?

Lenny: What is he talking about? Wait; of course…there IS one card in my deck that can win it for me! I just have to draw it. Come on, baby. Give me something nice [closes his eyes and draws a card and looks at it] Score! I can't believe I drew the exact card I was looking for! Now, Aggro, say good-bye to your Megarock Dragon!

Aggro: Impossible. You can't possibly have anything strong enough beat my Megarock Dragon in a battle.

Lenny: I'm not talking about battle, I'm talking about summoning.

Aggro: How can a mere summon get rid of a monster?

Lenny: You'll see. I now sacrifice both of your monsters to Special Summon Lava Golem on your side of the field in Defense Mode!

Lava Golem: 3000/2500

Aggro: What?! My Megarock Dragon was sacrificed to summon this thing?! What have you done?!

Lenny: You'll find out on your turn, because I end mine.

Aggro: Fine! [draws a card]

Lenny: Now that you drew a card, Lava Golem will burn 700 points off your total.

Aggro: You're kidding!

Aggro: (-700) 2400 LP

Lenny: And this will happen during each of your Standby Phases until you're beaten.

Aggro: Fine, but I can still attack with it!

Lenny: What good would that do? I have 2 monsters on my side of the field that would just come back after being destroyed in battle.

Aggro: You planned this from the beginning, didn't you?

Lenny: I had some help. [looks over and smiles at Damon]

Damon: [smirks back]

Aggro: No! No! I won't be beaten by some ugly molten creature.

Lenny: I told you my Fire Deck would cremate you.

Aggro: You keep outta this! I place on card face-down and end my turn!

Lenny: [draws a card] I pass.

Aggro: You would. [draws a card]

Lenny: Now you lose 700 more points.

Aggro: (-700) 1700 LP

Aggro: Don't remind me. I end my turn.

Lenny: Hehehe... [draws a card] Now your Life Points are lower than mine. Ain't that sad?

Aggro: Quit toying with me!

Lenny: Fine, I play Ookazi! A spell card that automatically burns 800 of your Life Points away! [a fireball launched at Aggro]

Aggro: Aaah!

Aggro: (-800) 900 LP

Lenny: And then I put one monster face-down and end my turn!

Aggro: My turn! [draws a card]

Lenny: 700 more Life Points go bye-bye!

Aggro: (-700) 200 LP

Aggro: I sacrifice your Lava Golem to summon Ganjou the Rock Solid Lion!

Ganjou the Rock Solid Lion: 1600 ATK

Lenny: Oh boy.

Aggro: His special ability upon his summon switches all monsters on the field to Attack Mode!

Lenny: No!

Aggro: Now my lion, attack his Fox Fire with Pulverizing Paw!

Ganjou: 1600 ATK

Fox Fire: 300 ATK

[Fox Fire is destroyed in battle]

Lenny: Damn!

Lenny: (-1300) 100 LP

Lenny: Man!

Aggro: And as long as my monster stays on the field, all face-up monsters have to stay in Attack Mode!

Lenny: Oh no!

Aggro: So even if your Fox Fire comes back, it has to be in Attack Mode!

Lenny: So where at the Home Stretch!

Aggro: 200 LP

Lenny: 100 LP

Aggro: Yes we are, I end my turn. Your move can very well decide the outcome of this duel.

Lenny: Crap, he's right. My primary hope is face-down on the field. Now I just have to draw the other card. Come on, Come on… [draws a card] Aggro.

Aggro: Yes.

Lenny: This has been a great duel. You were a very tough opponent, but now…you're finished.

Aggro: What?!

Lenny: I Flip Summon Raging Flame Sprite to Attack Mode!

Raging Flame Sprite: 100 ATK

Lenny: This card can bypass your monsters and attack you directly.

Aggro: But it doesn't have enough power to take me out!

Lenny: I play my Field Spell Card, Molten Destruction!

Aggro: No, no.

Lenny: This field card boosts the ATK of all Fire monsters on the field by 500!

Fox Fire: (+500) 800 ATK

Fox Fire: (+500) 800 ATK

Raging Flame Sprite: (+500) 600 ATK

Aggro: Oh no.

Lenny: This duel is over! Raging Flame Sprite, attack his Life Points directly and end this duel! [Raging Flame Sprite strikes Aggro]

Aggro: Urgh!

Aggro: 0 LP

Final Result:

Lenny: 100 LP

Aggro: 0 LP

Lenny was shouting in glee as he grasped victory. Then he brushed his forehead with his arm. "Man that was close. I almost bit the big one there."

Then Aggro came stomping towards Lenny in an angry fashion. Lenny was frozen in fear as the towering Aggro stood over him. "That…that…that…was the coolest duel ever!" Aggro suddenly turned into a chipper good mood.

Lenny fell down in bafflement. "Say what?! What was that stomping all about?!"

"Well, I have to admit that I did feel a quite bit of anger for losing." Aggro was grinding his teeth while speaking that sentence. "But the impact of the duel more than made up for it. Here, select a card from my deck that you wish. After all, you did win." Lenny searched through Aggro's deck and chose a spell card.

Damon walked over in curiosity. "Come on, show me what you got." Lenny showed the card to him, it was Graceful Charity. "Good choice."

Lenny then turned to Aggro and held out his hand for a firm handshake. Aggro accepted; their grip was as strong as the bond they shared as rivals. "Aggro, that was a great duel."

Aggro smiled and nodded. "Yes, indeed it was. But the next time we meet, you won't be so lucky."

"Right…" Lenny chuckled.

Aggro then waved as he parted ways with our heroes. "Good luck on your quest to make it to Pegasus' castle!"

Lenny waved back. "You too, Aggro!" As Aggro left, Lenny's face was bright with a smile, the look of fulfillment.

Damon had his usual serious look on his face. "You got a big bulky Rock Duelist as a rival. I'm stuck with a Royal Pain."

"Yeah, man. It sure sucks to be you." Lenny laughed. Damon then hit Lenny over the head. "I was just kidding, man!"

"Yeah, well watch it." Damon angrily said.

Now Damon and Lenny each have a 1-0 record. Will they stay undefeated? What other challenges await our heroes? More will be revealed in the next chapter: Tidal Wave of Trouble.

This Fan-Fic is stupendous.

Just one minor criticism: if there are certain things characters say in their head during a duel (eg/ Aggro: Good, just keep sending my Rock monsters to the Graveyard. Because then I can sic my Megarock Dragon on you). I assume that was said in his head, but it could appear as if he said it out loud.

So, if you put Name (thinking):, or Name: *speech* to symbolize them thinking (rather than aloud), that would make it a little easier to comprehend and would avoid any further confusion that any reader may have. But as I said before, it is only a minor criticism.

Chapter 5: Tidal Wave of Trouble (part I)

With a victory each, Damon and Lenny just keep wandering through with high spirits and a big appetite. Lenny's tummy was literally growling. "Just get a shovel and bury me right here, 'cause I'm dying."

"Quit being such a baby, Lenny. We'll get food eventually." Damon replied.

As they kept dragging on, they saw a shadow as they were looking at their feet. It was a friendly-looking blue-haired girl. "Hey guys, you said you needed food?" The girl asked.

Damon stood up straight and looked at the girl in a suspicious manner. "Why do you ask?"

Lenny was appalled. "Damon, you idiot, let's just take her offer! I'm dyin' over here!"

"I thought so. Here, have these." The girl handed over some chocolate bars over to Damon and Lenny.

"Oh sweet heavenly bliss…!" Lenny shouted as he stuffed his face with one of the candy bars.

"Well, have fun, guys." The girl ran off with the same friendly smile on her face.

Damon was still suspicious. Why would a girl from out of the blue just give them some food? Damon decided to not dwell on the subject that much. A couple hours later walking down the path, he and Lenny ran into the same girl. "You're that girl, the one who gave us some food."

"Yes, the very same; now that I gave you food, you're gonna have to pay me back, with a duel!" The girl held out her arm in front of her and a duel disk was changed into duel mode.

"What the…? She's a duelist!" Lenny exclaimed.

The girl smirked. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Mizura Nightingale."

"Nightingale…of Nightingale Incorporated?!" Lenny erratically asked.

"That's right!" Mizura replied.

"What is Nightingale Incorporated?" Damon asked.

"What is Nightingale Incorporated? Man you've been in a whole!" Lenny exclaimed. "Nightingale Incorporated was founded by Edward Nightingale. It's a company that joins others on big projects. For example, Nightingale Incorporated helped Kaibacorp construct the plans for the duel disks."

"You mean the ones we are wearing right now?" Damon asked.

"Exactly...!" Lenny answered.

Damon started chuckling. "So this is a millionaire's daughter, eh?"

"Don't be fooled because she's rich, Damon. She may not have participated in big tournaments that often, but they say her skill is equivalent to that of a National Champion!" Lenny explained.

"You're friend knows quite a lot. And he's right." Mizura said.

"In any case, I accept you're challenge, Mizura."

"Very well, Damon"

"Let's duel!" Both said

Damon: 4000 LP (5 cards)

Mizura: 4000 LP (5 cards)

Damon: [draws a card] I'll start with Luster Dragon in Attack Mode!

Luster Dragon: 1900 ATK

Damon: And I'll place a card face-down and end my turn!

Mizura: Very well. [draws a card] I discard my Atlantean Warrior to the Graveyard to get one "Legendary Ocean" field card and add it to my hand. I now activate A Legendary Ocean! And now I summon the Sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness, in Attack Mode!

Sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness: 1800 + 200 = 2000 ATK

Damon: Your sea serpent warrior got stronger.

Mizura: Yep, because of my field card. A Legendary Ocean increases the ATK and DEF of all Water monsters on the field by 200. It even downgrades the level of all the Water monsters in my hand by 1.

Damon: That means 5 star monsters could be summoned straight to the field.

Mizura: That's right. But now my Sea Serpent Warrior will attack your dragon. Piercing Trident Attack…!

Sea Serpent Warrior: 2000 ATK

Luster Dragon: 1900 ATK

Damon: Not so fast! I activate Curse of Aging!

Mizura: Uh oh.

Damon: I discard one card from my hand to the graveyard to decrease the stats of all your monsters by 500 this turn!

Luster Dragon: 1900 ATK

Sea Serpent Warrior: 1500 ATK

Damon: Luster Dragon, destroy Sea Serpent Warrior with Sapphire Barrage Breath! [sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness is destroyed in battle]

Mizura: No, my warrior.

Mizura: 3600 LP

Damon: Your warrior got pwned.

Mizura: Hmph. I'll end things by putting one card face-down, your move.

Damon: Good. [draws a card] I summon Twin-Headed Behemoth, in Attack Mode.

Twin-Headed Behemoth: 1500 ATK

Damon: Now both of my monsters, attack her directly!

Luster Dragon: 1900 ATK

Twin-Headed Behemoth: 1500 ATK

Mizura: Oh no you don't!

Damon: What?

Mizura: I activate Waboku, all battle damage I receive from my opponent becomes 0 for the rest of this turn.

Damon: Hehehe…I didn't think you'd go out that easily.

Mizura: I aim to please.

Damon: Indeed…I end my turn.

Mizura: Fine then. [draws a card] I summon Gagagigo!

Gagagigo: 2050 ATK

Damon: Crap.

Mizura: Gagagigo, attack that Luster Dragon with Swiping Claws!

Gagagigo: 2050 ATK

Luster Dragon: 1900 ATK

[Luster Dragon is destroyed in battle]

Damon: 3850 LP

Damon: Errr…

Mizura: So much for your dragon.

Damon: This isn't over, Mizura.

Mizura: Oh I no it isn't. So now I will put one card on the field face-down behind my Gagagigo, your move.

Damon: Alright. [draws a card] I summon Flame Ruler in Defense Mode!

Flame Ruler: 1600 DEF

Damon: I also switch my Twin-Headed Behemoth to Defense Mode as well.

Twin-Headed Behemoth: 1200 DEF

Damon: And I place one card face-down. It's your turn now.

Mizura: Okay. [draws a card] I summon my favorite monster, Mermaid Knight!

Mermaid Knight: 1900 ATK

Damon: Oh no.

Mizura: Mermaid Knight, destroy his Flame Ruler with Electrical Trident Attack!

Mermaid Knight: 1900 ATK

Flame Ruler: 1600 DEF

[Flame Ruler is destroyed in battle]

Damon: Crud!

Mizura: That's not all, when Legendary Ocean is on the field, my Mermaid Knight can attack twice per turn.

Damon: What?!

Mizura: Mermaid Knight, use Electrical Trident Attack on his Twin-Headed Behemoth now!

Mermaid Knight: 1900 ATK

Twin-Headed Behemoth: 1200 DEF

[Twin-Headed Behemoth is destroyed in battle]

Damon: No!

Mizura: And now my Gagagigo can attack your Life Points directly. Swiping Claws!!!

Gagagigo: 2050 ATK

[Gagagigo strikes Damon]

Damon: Urgh!! (-2050) 1800 LP

Lenny: Damon!

Mizura: Too bad. Looks like you're in trouble.

Damon: Like it means anything. 1800 points is still all I need to beat you.

Mizura: Oh really? I end my turn, let's see what you got.

Damon: Since you ended your turn, my Twin-Headed Behemoth comes back from the Graveyard with weaker stats.

Twin-Headed Behemoth: 1000 DEF

Damon: Now I draw. [draws a card] Now you pay.

Mizura: Huh?

Damon: Thanks to Twin-Headed Behemoth, I have a monster to sacrifice.

Mizura: What?!

Damon: That's right. I offer my Behemoth as a tribute to bring out Kaiser Glider!

Kaiser Glider: 2400 ATK

Mizura: 2400 ATK?!!!!

Damon: Yep. Now my dragon, attack her Mermaid Knight and destroy it!

Kaiser Glider: 2400 ATK

Mermaid Knight: 1900 ATK

[Mermaid Knight is destroyed in battle]

Mizura: No, my favorite monster. (-500) 3100 LP

Damon: I'll admit, you surprised me with your mermaid's special ability, but now it paid the price and is now in the Graveyard.

Mizura: You'll pay for that!

Damon: Maybe, maybe not. But as far as I'm concerned, this duel is still on. I then place one card on the field face-down. That'll end my turn.

Mizura: Good! [draws a card] You'll pay for destroying my favorite monster! I summon Giga Gagagigo!

Giga Gagagigo: 2650 ATK

Damon: That monster is stronger than my dragon!

Mizura: Yes it is! You're dragon's gonna be history! You'll be sorry you ever made me mad!

Is it true? Is Damon truly going to lose to Mizura's water strategy? This and more will be revealed in part II.

Chapter 6 is a little longer than others. Enjoy!

(IM)= Interior Monologue

Chapter 6: Tidal Wave of Trouble (part II)

Just to let you readers know before the chapter starts, when you see and (IM) next to their name, that stands for Interior Monologue.

Mizura: 3100 LP

Damon: 1800 LP

Mizura: Thanks to my Legendary Ocean, I was easily able to summon a monster whose brute strength surpasses that of your Kaiser Glider. And when my stronger monster defeats your dragon, I can use my regular Gagagigo to attack you directly and win me the duel.

Damon: You make it look so simple.

Mizura: It is and I'll prove it! Giga Gagagigo, attack Kaiser Glider with Rapid Slash!

Giga Gagagigo: 2650 ATK

Kaiser Glider: 2400 ATK

Damon: Not so fast, Mizura!

Mizura: Huh?

Damon: I activate my trap…! …Draining Shield!

Mizura: What?! Oh no!

Damon: Oh yes! It stops your monster from attacking and increases my Life Points by an amount equal to your monster's ATK.

Damon: (+2650) 4450 LP

Lenny: Awesome! Now Damon has more Life Points then Mizura!

Mizura: Darn! I wasn't expecting that!

Damon: Hehehe…What's the matter? You look stressed.

Mizura: Hmph! So you delayed your dragon's destruction, big deal.

Damon: This next turn will be a big deal.

Mizura: Just try something!

Damon: Very well! [draws a card and grins]

Lenny(IM): I've seen that look on Damon's face before. He only makes that face when he draws his absolute favorite card. Mizura's in trouble now.

Mizura: What are you smiling about?

Damon: I just drew my favorite card, that's what.

Mizura: Oh? And what would that be?

Damon: The rare, the powerful, the unstoppable Tyrant Dragon!

Mizura: Tyrant Dragon?! That's one of the most powerful dragons in the game! Second only to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon!

Damon: That's right! And I just drew one, what does that tell you?

Mizura: That you left your glasses at home.

Damon: Huh?

Mizura: Tyrant Dragon may be powerful but it would require the sacrifice of 2 monsters to bring it out and you only have 1 monster on the field.

Damon: That's what my face-down card is for.

Mizura: What?

Damon: Activate Level Conversion Lab!

Mizura: What does that do?

Damon: Quite simple, the first part of the effect requires me to select a monster in my hand and show it to you. [shows Mizura his card]

Mizura: Your Tyrant Dragon…

Damon: Right. Next, a six-sided die will be rolled. Now here's how it works, if I roll a 1, my Tyrant Dragon gets sent straight to the Graveyard. However, if I roll a 2 through 6, my dragon's level changes to the result that's on the die!

Mizura: What?!

Damon: So you just hope that I don't roll a 2, 3 or 4, because then you'd have 2 dragons breathing down your neck. Here we go! Go die, roll! [tumbles and tumbles]

Mizura: Come on, get a 1.

Damon: I want a 2, 3 or 4. [falls on…5]

Mizura: Oh no.

Damon: Not really what I wanted but it'll do. I rolled a 5, which means my Tyrant Dragon has changed from an 8-star monster to a 5-star monster! That means I only have to offer one monster to bring it out! Now Kaiser Glider, begone! So that I can summon my favorite and most powerful creature, Tyrant Dragon!

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Mizura: Oh no!

Damon: Nice to see you again, my beast! Now demonstrate your raw power and destroy Giga Gagagigo with Erupting Fire Blast!

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Giga Gagagigo: 2650 ATK

[Giga Gagagigo is destroyed in battle]

Mizura: No! (-250) 2850 LP

Damon: That's not all, since there's yet another monster on your side of the field, Tyrant Dragon can attack a second time.

Mizura: No!

Damon: Tyrant Dragon attack again with Erupting Fire Blast!

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Gagagigo: 2050 ATK

[Gagagigo is destroyed in battle]

Damon: That should put an even bigger dent in your Life Points.

Mizura: I've lost enough, thank you.

Damon: Say what?

Mizura: I activate my trap, Tornado Wall!

Damon: What's that?

Mizura: As long as my Legendary Ocean is on the field, Tornado Wall can reduce all battle damage to my Life Points to 0. So my Life Points are safe.

Damon: For now perhaps. I place one card face-down and end my turn.

Mizura(IM): Good, at least with Tornado Wall on the field, I can hold him off until I find something to defeat his dragon. But there's no monster in my deck that can topple that monster in battle. [draws a card]

Mizura: I summon Aqua Madoor in Defense Mode.

Aqua Madoor: 2200 DEF

Mizura: I end my turn.

Damon: [draws a card] I summon Archfiend Soldier.

Archfiend Soldier: 1900 ATK

Damon: Tyrant Dragon, attack Aqua Madoor! Erupting Fire Blast!

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Aqua Madoor: 2200 DEF

[Aqua Madoor is destroyed in battle]

Damon: Archfiend Soldier, attack her directly!

Mizura: That won't do anything, remember?

Damon: I know, just for sport.

Mizura: Very funny. [draws a card]

Mizura(IM): I can't believe it, this card can help me win! With this card, I can remove his dragon from the field quickly.

Damon: Come on, hurry up. Hesitation will get you nowhere.

Mizura: I place a monster face-down. I end my turn.

Damon: Is that all? Fine then… [draws a card] I summon Newdoria in Attack Mode!

Newdoria: 1200 ATK

Damon: Newdoria, attack the face-down monster and destroy it! [Newdoria struck the face-down monster and destroyed it]

Mizura: You attacked my Penguin Soldier!

Damon: Your what?

Mizura: When you attacked it, you flipped it up in battle, causing its effect to activate.

Damon: A Flip Effect?!

Mizura: When flipped, my Penguin Soldier returns 2 monsters on the field back to the owner's hand!

Damon: What?!

Lenny: No way!

Mizura: Your Archfiend Soldier and Tyrant Dragon will be returned to your hand!

Damon: No! [Tyrant Dragon and Archfiend Soldier are put back in the hand]

Mizura: Now you're Newdoria is all that's left on the field.

Damon: You'll pay for that!

Mizura: We'll see.

Damon(IM): Unfortunately, I don't have anything else I can put on the field, so I guess my turn is over.

Damon: I end my turn.

Mizura: About time! [draws a card] I use Premature Burial to bring back my Warrior of Atlantis.

Warrior of Atlantis: 2100 ATK

Mizura: (-800) 2050 LP

Mizura: Now my warrior, attack Newdoria with Harpoon Crossbow!

Warrior of Atlantis: 2100 ATK

Newdoria: 1200 ATK

[Newdoria is destroyed in battle]

Damon: (-900): 3550 LP

Damon: You activated Newdoria's special ability! When destroyed in battle, Newdoria can take one monster on the field along with it into the Graveyard. Since your Atlantean Warrior was the only monster on the field besides Newdoria, that monster gets destroyed automatically.

Mizura: No. Oh well, I end my turn.

Damon: What the…? Why did she end her turn so abruptly? I draw. [draws a card] I summon Mirage Dragon in Attack Mode!

Mirage Dragon: 1600 ATK

Damon: Mirage Dragon, attack her Life Points directly! [Tornadoes blocked Mirage Dragon's attack] What?! Oh, crap! Her Tornado Wall, that's why she seemed so confident, I can't hurt her!

Mizura: That's right!

Damon: I place one card face-down and end my turn.

Mizura: I summon Creature of the Void!

Creature of the Void: 1500 DEF

Mizura: I end my turn.

Damon: [draws a card] I activate my Premature Burial to bring back Twin-Headed Behemoth!

Twin-Headed Behemoth: 1500 ATK

Damon: (-800) 2750 LP

Damon: But it won't end there.

Mizura: What?

Damon: Now I shall sacrifice both of my dragons to summon Tyrant Dragon!

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Mizura: Oh no!

Damon: Tyrant Dragon, destroy that Creature of the Void with Erupting Fire Blast!

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Creature of the Void: 1500 DEF

Mizura: Not so fast!

Damon: What?

Mizura: I activate my monster's special ability! When targeted by an attack, my creature can remove itself from the game for the turn!

Damon: No way! [Creature of the Void withdraws into the shadows to avoid Tyrant Dragon's blast]

Mizura: You missed.

Damon: Fine then. I end my turn. (IM) Man. I gotta find a way to deal her damage.

Mizura: Now that you ended your turn, my Creature of the Void comes back!

Creature of the Void: 1500 DEF

Mizura: [draws a card] Now I win.

Damon: Say what?

Mizura: I sacrifice my creature to summon my most powerful monster! Levia-Dragon Daedalus, emerge my dragon of the sea!

Levia-Dragon Daedalus: 2800 ATK

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Damon: Your dragon is still no match for mine.

Mizura: Who said I was going to attack your dragon.

Damon: What?

Mizura: I shall use my Levia-Dragon's devastating ability! By sending my Legendary Ocean to the Graveyard, my Levia-Dragon destroys everything on the field except for itself.

Damon: NO! [A huge tidal wave destroys everything and sweeps Tyrant Dragon away.]

Mizura: Now my Levia-Dragon, attack him directly!

Levia-Dragon Daedalus: 2600 ATK

[Levia-Dragon attacks Damon]

Damon: AAAGGHH! (-2600) 150 LP

Lenny: Damon!

Mizura: 2050 LP

Damon: 150 LP

Mizura: Looks like I have the big advantage. I end my turn!

Damon(IM): Oh no. I've lost, I can't win.

Lenny: Damon, don't give up, man!

Damon: Erm?

Lenny: You can beat her. You've brought her down this far! Don't give up now!

Damon: Right. It's my move Mizura [draws a card]

Mizura: Hmph.

Damon: The card I drew was Graceful Charity!

Mizura: Huh?

Damon: I use it to draw 3 cards! [draws 3 cards] And discard any two cards from my hand. I now summon Cave Dragon in Defense Mode!

Cave Dragon: 100 DEF

Damon: I then place one card face-down and end my turn!

Mizura(IM): What could he be planning? He should already know that without Tyrant Dragon, he can't win this duel. I guess I'll have to teach him the hard way. [draws a card].

Mizura: Levia-Dragon, attack!

Damon: Just what I was waiting for!

Mizura: What?!

Damon: I activate Call of the Haunted! This card will allow me to bring back one monster from the Graveyard in Attack Position. In order to bring back Tyrant Dragon, I have to offer a Dragon Type monster on my field, and since Cave Dragon fits that category, I offer him!

Mizura: How did your Tyrant Dragon end up in the Graveyard?!

Damon: Don't you remember Graceful Charity? I discarded Tyrant Dragon as part of the effect. Now, Tyrant Dragon, come back to me! [Tyrant Dragon is revived] And since you already declared an attack, your dragon has to attack mine.

Mizura: NO!

Levia-Dragon: 2600 ATK

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

Damon: Tyrant Dragon, avenge your defeat and destroy Levia-Dragon with Erupting Fire Blast! [Levia-Dragon is destroyed in battle]

Mizura: No. (-300) 1750 LP

Lenny: Way to go, man!

Mizura(IM): My Levia-Dragon was defeated. No one has ever done that before. Without him, I can't win. [Tears start coming out of her eyes]

Damon: Come on, Mizura.

Mizura: Huh?

Damon: You shouldn't sulk. It only makes you more down. And it only makes your opponent know that he or she can win. Duel with pride and with honor. Go down honorably.

Mizura: [wipes her eyes] Sure, okay. [draws a card] I place a monster face-down and end my turn.

Damon: That's the way. You ready?

Mizura: Yes.

Damon: Very well, then. [draws a card] I summon Des Feral Imp!

Des Feral Imp: 1600 ATK

Damon: Attack the face-down monster! [Des Feral Imp destroyed 7 Colored Fish]

Mizura: Go ahead, you won. Take your victory.

Damon: Alright, it was a real privilege dueling you, Mizura.

Mizura: You too, Damon.

Damon: Tyrant Dragon, attack her directly and win the duel! Erupting Fire Blast!

Tyrant Dragon: 2900 ATK

[Tyrant Dragon blasted Mizura]

Mizura: Urgh! (-the rest) 0 LP

Final Result:

Damon: 150 LP

Mizura: 0 LP

Mizura then dropped to her knees crying, but not as a sense of loss, but as a sense of gratitude and happiness.

Damon then walked up to her. "Are you alright? Here, take my hand."

Mizura then gazed up at Damon and saw a gentler side of him. Mizura then took his hand and Damon brought her up. "Thanks, Damon. I needed that. Here, take a look at my deck, take whatever card you desire." Damon looked through Mizura's deck and took the very card that nearly helped clench the duel for her, Penguin Soldier. "That's a good card, please take care of it."

Damon nodded. "I will." Mizura started walking off. "Wait." Damon uttered. Mizura looked back. "Maybe you could join us, work together to get to Pegasus' castle."

Mizura was so touched to hear the offer, but she had other plans. "No, not right now, I'm sorry but…I have to find myself. After that, I'll come find you guys, okay?"

Damon smiled. "Deal..." Damon and Lenny waved as Mizura went her own way. Damon's newest duel has gained him another victory and perhaps…another friend. As they walked into the sunset, a wolf can be heard howling in the background. What other challenges will Damon and Lenny find out there? And how will they deal with them? Find this out and more in the next chapter: Wrath of the Wolf.
