Miazo
I don't know if you do this, but it is called the strike system. We do this on another forum and it really keeps the forum together. It is still a simple 'three strikes and you're out' system, whereby each offense results in the user being issued with an official warning and then, in some cases, a strike. After three offences the user is banned and may not use the message board again. The First Offense If the user fails to comply with their official warning, they receive a strike. This strike has a duration of six months. On the strikes list, the username, strike duration and reason for the strike are listed. During this period, the user cannot be considered for a moderator position or promotion at all. After the six month period has expired, the name is removed from the list but is kept in a strikes 'archive' for use by the administrator. After this the user may be considered for a moderator position or promotion, but other prospective candidates will be considered before them. The Second Offense If the user fails to comply with their official warning, they receive a strike, as well as a two week ban. This strike has a duration of six months. On the strikes list, the username, strike duration and reason for the strike are listed. Moderators with a second strike will be removed from their position. After the six month period has expired, the name is removed from the list but is kept in a strikes 'archive' for use by the administrator. After this, the user will not be considered for any moderation jobs. The Third Offense If the user fails to comply with their official warnings, they will be banned. Banned users will be listed publically without an expiration date. It is hoped that with this system, people who have been issued strikes will not have to suffer forever for their actions. Though names will be removed from the list as strikes 'expire,' they shall not be forgotton. This is the official thread for reporting rule violations by other members. Junk Raver
How about no. Moderators use warning Levels, Neg Reps, PM's and auto-banning, we do things our way, not by a set routine. And if members post here its basically like asking everyone to Neg Rep them, thats a no no.
