I beat a meta deck, my deck must be good

Recommended Posts

Winning a duel depends on a number of factors

1) Luck of each duelist

2) Skill of each duelist

3) Build of each deck

Number 1 is variable in each individual duel. Winning once against a meta deck means nothing. You must beat a meta deck at least 70% of time to have your deck classed as "good".

That isnt always the case. I think for your deck to be classed as good' date=' it should be able to beat any Meta deck around 70% of the time because of how differently they operate. That may be a requirement for a deck to be Meta but my 70% interpretation sounds realistic. Just because your deck can beat [b']a[/b] Meta Deck, it doesnt mean they will beat the other Meta Decks.

Agreed to points 2-3.

Honestly i think the only deciding factor to winning a duel is' date=' "who can get the cards they WANT" fastest. If you can do that than you can steal victory.

If you run a terrible Vanilla Beatdown deck and I run Lightlords, and the card you WANT is Summoned Skull and the card I WANT is Judgment Dragoon, then even if you get your Summoned Skull a turn before I get my Judgment Dragoon, I'm still probably going to win.

Well, realistically, you just have to look out the input before the game starts. What is there? Two opponents, and two decks. Therefore, all variables (win, loss, draw) can be accounted to those inputs. So, that means you have a) player skill, and b) deck build. Finally, you have c) luck, as b) is variable. So, those three things are all there is to it. Since luck you can't directly alter, a) and b) are the important ones.

However, the way you build your deck has an effect on how much luck effects you. Plenty of searchers/deck thinners mean the chance you will attain the card you need is greater, meaning luck has less of an effect on you. But yeah, that isn't directly altering.

wow come to think of it

yugioh dosnt have

skill

a good build

or luck

WTF!!!!!!!!!!

He has mad luck. It takes mad luck to topdeck from a 60+ card deck into a Lightforce Sword when he faced the exodia guy or into summoned skull and that mist thing when Weevil had that big moth thing or when he top decked into multiply to beat Pegasis' Thousand-eyes Restirct.

New rules to be instated (dreamed up by person at my locals called squishy):

If you activate house of adhesive tape and destroy something you should win

That would have been useful up until now, with Frog being mained in most decks til march and disc in most decks since. :/

Yes. Yes' date=' you have completely changed my view of competitive YuGiOh. Obviously, we must trust in the heart of the cards.

My Kuriboh will beat the 4kids out of your Dark Armed Dragon thanks to the power of friendship and bad dubbing!
