...bump.

I post the only LoZ fic on the first three pages, and I still get ignored?

... :(

This is almost as bad as SDA.

Ganondorf is dead at the end of tWW. If you revive him in tWW, you completely stuff up his resurrection, and eventually reincarnation in FS.

Also, be more inventive. Almost every Zelda fan fic ever has Ganon as the villain. Why not pull a Majora's Mask, and go for the bizarre and surreal. A new enemy would be nice.

Also, Calatia is not canon, as it is featured in the manga only.

At mechking: see, this is why the Fan Fic forums depress me sometimes. The guy has barely started! He only has a prologue! Wait until the story has started, and all the main characters are introduced, before you start rating.

EDIT: Ah, a tWW adaption. You may want to clarify that.

And the Wind Waker already had a sequal (Phantom Houglass).

I am sure he is very well aware of that. This might probably takes place between tWW and PH. (though this is just speculation)

Great writing, really gripping. Can't wait to see more.

THIS. IS. A. WIND. WAKER. ADAPTATION.

As for Ganondorf, no other villain does Zelda justice IMO, although he will stop being a villain eventually.

I've been playing since the original LoZ, and I've had it up to here with Ganon/dorf. He's been in LoZ, aLttP, OoT, OoS, OoA, tWW, TP, and FSA. That's over half of the games in the entire series. Zelda really needs to expand a bit. Ganondorf has become very forced recently, especially in Twilight Princess. (I mean, his appearance was so random. Zant should have been left as the original boss.) A new villain is needed, or perhaps some more Vaati.

EDIT: But anyway, that is more than slightly off-topic. So, when does the story begin?

I actually liked TP Ganondorf. Four Swords... eh, not so much. But move past Ganondorf, and you really move past Link. Q,x

Story will continue as soon as I finish Chappie 1 (probably tomorrow...).

Majora's the easiest last boss ever, Vaati was never a main villain (Ganon was in both his games as the true last boss), Bellum's a wuss, Veran's a hag, Onox's an idiot, and Dark Link doesn't even qualify as a character.

And not even Link was in every Zelda game ever. CD-I did away with him for one game, I think.

But whatever. Ganondorf won't be the villain forever, we established that five posts ago or something.

Ganon was in an unlockable boss in FS and FSA; I forgot Minish Cap. :?

But he's still an anti-hero. After that pathetic ending to Minish Cap, I barely even count him as a villain.

Veran... planned to rule Labrynna by building a skyscraper. WTF. Also, not a main villain.

Dark Link... never actually did anything, just appeared as someone you fight.

Onox... relied purely on brute force, and wasn't a main villain.

Bellum... is Soul Edge, but with less originality and epic pwnage.

Bellum sucks souls, so does Soul Edge. Only he's this squid thing instead of a sword, and he can't possess people.

Linked games that had completed both ALttP and FSA could face Ganondorf.

Onox and Veran were both subservient to Ganondorf, and their plans were either uninspired (kill everything) or absurd (take over the world by building a skyscraper).

In AoL, DL still had no personality, and the whole thing was a dream anyway.

Ganondorf was in over half of Zelda for a reason, he's the best villain I've ever heard of (except Darth Vader in the original). The leader of a loathed race who sought to bring his people justice, taking on the challenge of world domination again as a game, and finally driven mad by his own followers in a failed attempt to ressurect him. Even by today's standards, that's pretty original.

There's facts for you. Although, again, for the record, an original villain does take over later.

No. Ganondorf is not in FS. He is in the remake of aLttP that was included with FS, but not FS itself.

To be technical, Onox and Veran were subservient to Twinrova, as Ganondorf was dead at the time. Twinrova were just trying to resurrect Ganondorf.

AoL wasn't a dream, it was the sequel to LoZ. I think you have it confused with LA.

Oh, he was original at the start, yes. But now? I mean, at the end of Twilight Princess his entrance was so random. He's felt forced ever since OoT. Well, with the possible exception of TP.

...good point... But I'm pretty sure DL wasn't acting of his own accord, and he still had no personality.

He's only unoriginal now because you've seen him so many times; if he'd never been done before, he'd be good, which means he's still open to interpretation and therefore fanfic writing. TP was seamless, really, and I can see how a brute like Onox couldn't be working of his own accord. The Oracle series insert was a bit forced, but definitely instrumental: before, he was calm, calculating, nonchalant Ganondorf; afterwards, he was the mad pig-beast observed in the earlier (later, Zelda-chronologically) games.

New chapter coming out soon; got inspiration for Exovarcéôs and wanna finish the next few chapters of that first.
