Umbra
BKOOC:1. A four-sided dice is easier to use than three two-sided dice (aka coins) to calculate odds. However, in the RP, you can say that your character flips three coins.2. Thank you. :D3. Get to the gryphons, goddamnit! DeucalionOOC: Well, you're on the north side of the forest, and Elza is in the south. I doubt you're that lost. As Lucius and Noir comes closer, you see a small camp. You see about eight or ten men there, and a few tents. You also see an archer in a tree nearby; obviously a guard. The archer hasn't seen you yet. On the other side of the camp, you see moving shadows between the trees. IxigoOOC: She took, like 1000 overkill damage. We're closer to bloody remains splattered on the grass and strange fluids dripping from the nearby trees rather than unconscious.
Deucalion
OoC: I don't know how lost I am. If I did, I wouldn't be lost, would I? :P At Ixigo: Ah well. There's always Monster Reborn. BTW, I'd just flee now, never mind trying to lure them to Undead. Dark Magician Girl, your strongest team member, has an attack of 2000. If 2000 = 3.5, then the strongest you can hit is 2250. The Baboons have an attack of 2600. The lowest they can hit is 2350. It is impossible for you to even damage them. Plus, if you have a spell that can kill one of them, the other can pay some of their health to resurrect the other. If they catch up with you, you are stuffed. At Umbra: When we enter a battle, is there a formula for our enemy's HP? Because that would be a real help when trying to calculate whether to take a risk or not. Otherwise, we are basically just aiming blindfolded, having no idea whether we are mortally wounding them or barely scratching them.
Umbra
1. You seem to have misunderstood the system: Attacks are ATK vs DEF. Baboon has a DEF of 1800, giving it a top DEF of 2050. In other terms, Elza is very likely to be able to do damage. 2. HP = Level*
Deucalion
OoC: Ah, I see. I thought that defending was actually an action, as in you could chose to attack or defend. Although, the Baboons have a 100% chance of dealing damage. Also, not that I'm complaining, but on my character sheet, Noir is listed as having 1000 HP, despite the fact he is level 4. Was that a mistake, or were you being generous?
Umbra
I must have forgot to edit his form. I used 250*Level initially, but scrapped that for 200.
Deucalion
OoC: Can I keep it? After all, Noir is technically Noir, the Knight, and Vol, the Dragon, so it stands to right they should have a little more HP than a single fighter. Kyub
OOC: Gryphons? *reads posts* Oh. Kard jolted. She felt weird. She was...floating? She looked down to see a forest below. Far below. "WHAT THE!?" She screamed, then tightened her grip on whatever she was holding. Wait...she looked forward to see Deleng holding the reins of a gryphon, and smiling at her. She slapped him. "Ouch..." He said, turning back towards her. "Where are we?!" She asked, blushing with fear. "Um...above the Verdani Forest? On Parshath's orders?" Ignoring Deleng's disrespect for once, she calmed. They were on a mission. Everything was perfectly fine. Nothing strange was going to...damn. Of course, in physical terms, the "damn" came out more as, "ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Kard screamed as the gryphon catapulted towards the ground. Deleng kept smiling his infernal smile, and pulled up at the last second. The gryphon landed, and Kard jumped off in fear. "DAMN IT!" She slapped Deleng again, and stormed off into the forest, leaving Deleng to pat the creature and send it back to the Tower. He did so, and then laughed, and followed Kard into the forest, proceeding to the nearby base. He didn't notice, however, the yellow eyes that followed him into the vegetation, hiding in the treetops... OOC: Yay for copying Ixigo-san. Your call. ^_^
Umbra
OOC: Deuca, you cannot. End of ze discussion. BK, you're not getting Baboons too. BlueKyubbiSuddenly, you hear a loud howl from behind you. The vegetation is bare, and you can clearly see the pack of seven-eight silver-furred wolves approaching between the trees. But what strikes fear into your heart is what walks on it's hind legs among them. A werewolf, apparently leading the pack.
Kyub
Kard paled. Deleng grinned. Kard screamed. Deleng laughed. Kard slapped. Deleng pained. "Grr..." The growl of the wolves caught their attention. "We've got to run, we can't take all of them!" Kard shouted at Deleng. Deleng's face was for once, serious. "No." He stepped forward. "Can you hear me, foul beast!? I challenge you to a duel, a battle. If I win, you let us go. If you win, well, you get a good dinner tonight." He flipped a coin, catching it without looking. His face turned dark, and an evil smile spread across his face. "So what d'ya say?"
Deucalion
OoC: Okay. Seeing as humans aren't Monsters, and therefore don't have a level, how do we work out what their HP is? Or ATK, or DEF?
Umbra
Deuca: The humans will be monsters. Their identity will be revealed to you when such things are necessary. BK: Remember that you don't always win the coin toss. (Second gives you a better chance, but still. BlueKyubbiThe werewolf walked closer to Deleng. Kyub
OOC: Or...oh, and BTW, Kard cannot not kill the Silver Fang, so I'm assuming. Kard gasped as she stabbed the last wolf. She was weak, but she grew angry, and tears sprouted on her cheeks. "Deleng!" She shouted. She ran to his body, and held it in her arms. "He's...dead." She realized, and without looking at the Lycanthrope, she grabbed Deleng's body and ran back into the forest. She ran for what felt like ages, until she found a clearing. She fell into the clearing, and as she fainted, her last sight was that of a blue-armored magician girl...
Deucalion
Lucius gestured at Thralk, Noir and Vol to remain where they were, then motioned Noir to carefully circle round the camp. Lucius then began to edge round himself, carefully moving through the undergrowth, staying out of the light of the fire, his green robe-armour blending into the background. Then, he picked up a stone, then threw it into the corner of the camp that had neither Noir, Thralk and Vol, or himself into it, to judge the reactions of the waiting soldiers. He was judging the threat level carefully in his mind. This was merely a little settlement, or so it appeared. The archer would presumably be for guarding only, a deterrent against the legions of the Undead. Not that he would be that effective. Lucius could snipe him off with a Rageiki if necessary. Hmmm... he quickly counted eight men, plus the archer. Yes... Thralk was far too weak to risk in a fight like this, but if he killed the archer, and perhaps spread some of the remaining damage throughout the guards, Noir and Lucius himself could defeat the rest. He didn't feel particularly comfortable with the odds, though. The shadow in the trees on the opposite side of the camp seemed to be remaining still. Lucius headed back towards his waiting minions, before communicating with them via their necromantic bonds, a speech which could not be heard. He disliked doing it, as Thralk's mind was just as repulsive as Thralk, but it was necessary. "We'll head around the camp, and come around to the other side where the shadow is. Quickly." The group began to circle round to the location of the shadow.
Phantom Roxas
Sora, Honest, and Alexander were all riding gryphons, but Alexander was riding a very large one to accomadate his large body. As the flew by, they saw Kard rushing through the forest clutching Deleng, and Deleng didn't appear to good. Sora was shocked and nodded to his comrades. The trio landed in front of Kard and Deleng and got off their gryphons.
Umbra
DeucalionAs the stone hits the ground with a silent thump no one seems to really recognize. The camp is dozing off into sleep, with seemingly only the archer on guard. As you approach the shadows, you notice a Chaos Sorcerer, a Zombie Master and a Mezuki, muttering something. BK, Roxas, IxigoOOC: Since you're all in the same glade now, the Baboons still have the Swords blocking them just a few feet away. Behind you, you hear a loud howl, and you see the four remaining Silver Fangs and the Lycanthrope running towards you. Behind you, the Swords of Revealing Light starts to wear off gradually. Before anyone can react, the Chaos Sorcerer suddenly hears something in his head.[i']My name is Ghant of the Mournwing Clan. If you request my aid, call my name with your mind.[/i] Vorthal nods at the Dragon, and the three head towards the camp site. About five minutes later, you reach the clearing. The humans - about eight or ten of them - seem to have settled and some of them are heading off to sleep. No one seems to have noticed you yet. So, what do I say...? Vorthal thought, thinking of the vague description of "name". Whatever, I'll just think of it when I need his help... of course, the fact he's pointing it out at all probably means I'm going to need it, he added to himself drily. He turned to the task at hand. His vision was poor in the darkness, but he could make out a sort of metallic gleam in the moonlight. "If that's iron," Ella whispered, "that makes the whole thing a lot more complicated." Being a demi-sorceress herself, she understood Vorthal's aversion to the magic-resistant metal. "Just so long as I'm not touching it," he replied under his breath, "I should be fine." He could easily exploit the loopholes of iron — the fact that it only worked if the spell targeted the wielder, for instance — but trying to use magic while wearing iron resulted in severe burns. If iron was contacting him, and he tried to use Lightning Vortex, he'd be hit instead of the enemies... not pleasant. "Let's go, then," Mezuki urged, readying its well-honed axe in tense arms. "I am not so different from my kin so as not to relish battle!" "Not yet," Vorthal urged, praying his comrade wouldn't allow his natural recklessness to get the better of him.
