OoC: So' date=' Deleng = Harvey Dent much?

[/quote']

OOC: Wondering who'd be the first to say that. ^_^ If everyone here's seen The Dark Knight, they'll know why Deleng keeps winning the coin toss.

IC: Deleng smiled and turned again to Sora. "Who's not noticed again?" Meanwhile, Kard was fuming because Deleng had been called by name and not her. 'How dare that pompous knight not notice me!' She glared at Deleng's back. 'I'm obviously better than him!' She mentally pouted, before turning and walking into the amphitheater-like hall. Deleng noticed her, after fighting with Sora, and rushed after her, still holding on to Sora's collar.

OoC: Lulz, I know how he "wins". Also, I think that applies to ANYONE to know who knows anything REMOTELY close to the comics.

BiC: Sora snapped his finger, and Alexander floated towards Deleng, holding an arm to Deleng's head.

"I'll say it again: Don't mess with us. Now, if you would so kind as to release me, I will be happy to let Alexander spare."

Alexander scoffed. "You're never any fun, Sora."

Battle Sequence

Eden Drakmore

Mog

Grog

VS

Feratu

Prometheus

Eden goes first.

Grand Hall

OOC: AFAIK, Ixigo's the only one to be in the hall, since both Roxas and BK are outside, and we don't have anything clearer on Swift. Just so you people know.

- Order, order!

Parshath's loud voice echoed throughout the hall. Quite a large crowd had gathered; angels and mages from all over town, just like Parshath had called. The crowd fell silent, and Parshath spoke again.

- As you all know, the undead have taken possession of the lands beneath us. Lands that belong to us! They have ravaged our kin, massacred innocents and burned our towns and villages on the ground! And what is worse, they have turned our kin against us, their evil hoard growing day by day! But now, the tides have turned! It is time for the Light to strike! We will not let them reach the Sanctuary! Dezard shall fall!

OoC: -bump-

IC:

"What do you reckon we're up against?" Vorthal asked his comrades conversationally. The Sorceror was levitating his comrades through the sky, whisking them along on an effort-free path to the human encampment Gil'garath found such a 'threat.'

"Not much," Ella admitted. "It's just another human encampment, and Vamparanoid did say they weren't a threat."

"'But they could be in the future'," Vorthal mocked. "Honestly, if it weren't for Dezard himself, I would have defected a loooong time ago."

OOC: Hmm. Not many posts considering I've been banned from my laptop for about a week. w/e. Post peoples! Oh, and Roxy, are the comics THAT popular? I've only seen The Dark Knight... Oh, Umbra, considering Deleng has a two-sided coin, can I use that in his effect?

IC: Kard turned slowly, and smiled scarily at Sora. "From what I can hear, the announcement has started. You have two choices. You get your goon off me now, we go in, and we finish this afterwards, in a sparring match. Or you could die. Your choice." Deleng however, didn't hear this. He had walked into the hall, dragging Honest, who looked like he had more common sense than the others, with him.

OOC: Kard is main character, not Deleng. Oh, and Umbra, I seem to have made a stupid mistake. I put Gamble Angel Bunny as a pet, not knowing the pic of the card, simply the effect, stats, and name. However, it seems the pic is of a Bunny Girl which totally defeats the purpose. So, for the purposes of my plans, could I make Usagi a rabbit, and not a bunny girl?

Kard smiled, until she realised she was alone. She ran in, bumping into Sora, which meant they tripped over a convienent rug and landed in a compromising position. Kard blushed, and slapped Sora, before getting up and walking ahead of him.

Oblivious to the commotion outside, which was barely audible to those inside the Grand Hall anyway, Elza the Dark Magician Girl listened attentively to what Lord Parshath had to say. It merely confirmed her fears, but she felt her confidence rise at the sound of Parshath's heartening speech. He had that effect to those who trusted him.

"Did you hear everything?" She asked mentally.

"Oh, we did." Zarya replied in her mind. "Sounds like we're going to see some action soon enough."

At that moment, a piercing headache struck Elza. It was much worse than what could be expected from the strain of mental communication, and her magic protected her from that anyway. No, this was something from the past, something she had almost forgotten. Those horrible migraines had been tormenting her for years after whatever had caused her selective amnesia had occured. She massaged her temple, trying in vain to ease the stabbing pain. Nothing. She closed her eyes, focusing her mental energy into suppressing the throbbing agony. Her link to her two subordinates fell, but she could not have held to it either way. Finally, the headache begun subsiding. Elza opened her eyes, and blinked a few times to clear the blurry spots.

She had not been able to follow Parshath's speech in this condition, but she had recorded it with magic in a part of her brain. Hastily she replayed it, bringing the words into her attention. She did not bother touching Zarya's and Shaya'iesh' minds again. They'd learn what they were supposed to learn soon enough either way.

"Is there a plan of action, my lord?" She asked, bowing her head respectfully. "What would you have us to do exterminate this plague?"

OOC: BK: For the sake of the RPG, you are allowed to.

Battle Sequence (In battles, I will use strictly formulated speech only, as I play the game engine and the opponents.)

Feratu: -300 HP

Feratu's turn. Feratu casts the Spell Enchanted Arrow, which inflicts 300 damage for each unused Spell in the enemy's team. (300x1=300 damage, target Eden)

Mog's turn.

Grand Hall

Parshath nodded at Elza, and continued.

- We have received reports that the undead are summoning despair and fear from the shadows, turning your emotions into dangerous beasts. Therefore, you must take care when fighting them, keeping your mind clear and your head cool. We believe that the Verdani Forest to the north holds an important fortress, taken from us by the undead. The gryphons are waiting in the flight halls, and I've personally reserved them for you. Now go, my noble soldiers, and lead the Light to victory!

"As you command, my Lord Parshath." Elza bowed her head. "With your permission, I will depart to seek out those undead creatures and learn more of the capabilities of their advance forces." Bowing her head, she turned away and left the chamber.

"Zarya! Shaya'iesh!" She called. Maybe a little too forcefully, as she felt her two companions' minds recoil at the shock of an abrupt communication link opening.

"Mistress? Mistress!" Zarya replied anxiously. "What happened? We were worried about you!"

"No time to explain now." Elza said hastily. "Meet me at the Gryphon Hall as soon as you can." She snapped the link shut and hastened on.

---

"My, my." Shaya'iesh said softly. "Looks like we'll be going out sooner than I thought."

"Yes." Zarya replied thoughtfully as they made their way towards the tower were the Gryphons were housed. "I do hope Mistress Elza remembers to be careful this time..."

"You hope who remembers to be careful this time?" Elza's voice sounded behind them, as the young magician girl popped up out of nowhere, seemingly emerging out of her hat. Zarya's face paled slightly.

"No... nothing, mistress. I'm just saying we need to be careful this time. We don't know much about the enemy, do we?" Elza nodded slowly.

"Well, no point dallying here." She said. "Let's go." She walked forward quickly enough to miss Zarya's sigh of relief.

"Really now." Shaya'iesh muttered. "You ought to be more careful with what you say to her. Sweet as she normally is, she can be death on anyone who even implies that she isn't taking care of herself. She usually gets into so much trouble..." She muttered.

They were cut short as they entered the bestiaries. Elza picked a large female Gryphon, its stature regal and proud. Hopping on it without much difficulty, Elza bent to scratch the beast's head and muttered a few words to her. The gryphon relaxed, uttered a soft growl and sprang off its great feet out of the window.

"I wish I had her skill with animals..." Shaya'iesh sighed, eyeing the Gryphons nervously until she picked once, much smaller and more docile-looking. Even so, she took some minutes to bring it to heel and convince it to ride off after Elza. Zarya simply spread her folded wings and leapt after her two companions.

"I see the forest." Elza called after a few moments of flying. Her Gryphon seemed to dominate the sky with its gigantic wingspan, Shaya'iesh on her smaller beast and Zarya barely registering behind her. "Now we must approach cautiou-" Her words cut short as her Gryphon soared downwards, responding to Elza's thoughts without Elza having the time to prepare for the abrupt maneouver, the unpleasant result being Elza diving head-first into the ground. Zarya and Shaya'iesh sped onwards, but with Elza's lead and the speed of her momentum, it was impossible to catch up with her before she crashed into the trees below. The large Gryphon, the link between her and her rider abruptly cut off, now considered her mission completed and sped back towards the Tower.

"OUCH!!" Elza yelped after a series of unfortunately located branches and trees that did slow her fall, after a fashion, but also gave her a collection of scratches and bruises. "That damned animal! I swear I..." She cut off with a groan as she tried to stand up. "It hurts!"

"Well, of course it does." Zarya said, landing smoothly besides her. Shaiya'iesh was only a moment late, letting her Gryphon go after stroking the creature's large head. "Someday, I'd like you to teach me your definition of 'caution'."

Shaya'iesh groaned, sensing another lecture from Zarya and another angry retort from Elza. However, abruptly, all three stopped dead in their tracks.

"Did you hear that?" Zarya whispered. Something - or someone - was moving, somewhere very close to them.

"What's that?" Vorthal muttered, pointing into the distance. Something had just moved in the sky.

"A worthy opponent, perhaps?" Ella was significantly more intrigued than her partners at the disturbance.

"No matter," Mezuki dismissed. "Allow us to focus on more concrete objectives, such as the base before us."

It hardly qualified as a base; it was just a cluster of tents in a clearing. There were evidently humans milling about, mostly honing their weapons or eating over a central fire.

"This should be cake," Vorthal smirked.

"Unless that thing was a group of fairies sent for backup," Ella pointed out.

"Isn't this base completely inconsequential?" the Sorceror pointed out. "They must be nomadic, they're too small-scale to be settled."

"We were sent," the Zombie Master argued.

"Gil'garath is paranoid."

"Fairy leader might be, too."

"If we do run into fairies, we deal with them. The humans oughtn't get in our way."

"Thanks for seeing sense. Let's land."

"On the outskirts, though."

"Obviously."

The trio touched down just outside the forest edge and began to trek into the forest on foot.

Ixigo

Suddenly, you hear a sound from above, and you look up. A large green-skinned primate wearing some sort of leather armor is sitting on a branch above you. Elza recognizes it from her studies as one of the Green Baboons, who defend the Verdani Forest from outsiders. The baboon roars at you, and suddenly another jumps out from the bushes in front of you.

Battle Sequence

[spoiler=Turn of Initiative]

Zarya

Green Baboon #1

Elza

Shaya'iesh

Green Baboon #2

Supreme Gamesmaster

As you land, the Deathkaiser Dragon nods at Vorthal and lifts off, flying back towards the Cavern. Before anyone can react, the Chaos Sorcerer suddenly hears something in his head.

My name is Ghant of the Mournwing Clan. If you request my aid, call my name with your mind. Vorthal nods at the Dragon, and the three head towards the camp site.

About five minutes later, you reach the clearing. The humans - about eight or ten of them - seem to have settled and some of them are heading off to sleep. No one seems to have noticed you yet.

OOC: Hey, that reminded me of Golden Sun >_>.

===============================================

"What... are these things?" Shaya'iesh asked, startled at the appearance of the two beasts.

"Green Baboons." Elza said. "The undead aren't obviously the only dangerous things around here."

"Well, whatever they are, let's get done with them quickly and move on." Zarya yelped and flung herself towards the first of the ape-like beasts, launching a well-aimed thrust with her staff.

===============================================

IN BATTLE: Zarya's Turn: Zarya attacks Green Baboon #1 with regular attack (not that she has any other).

OOC: YEAH WELL, I SUMMON JUDGEMENT. Srsly though. Dunames Dark Witch isn't that small. She's larger than a human >_>.

"Oh no!" Shaiya'iesh groaned. "That thing got Zarya down in one turn."

"Don't be afraid!" Elza turned to her, without quite taking her eyes off the enemies. "I have a plan." She put her hands together, and a globe of light surrounded her.

"Swords of Revealing Light!!"

An array of blades made out of pure light energy rose into a floating circle surrounding the two ape-like behemoths.

"Now they can't attack us!" Shaya'iesh exclaimed. "Brilliant!" Suddenly, she dove onwards, thrusting her dagger at the baboon Zarya had already confronted.

IN-BATTLE:

Shaya'iesh attacks Baboon #1.

Now, assuming that those things don't find a way to get past the swords - Elza and Shaya'iesh keep attacking Baboon #1 until he dies, then move on to #2. Just so we don't have to pointlessly exchange posts. If the Spell is broken, well, we'll see what happens then.

Also, I assume that Spells can only be used in my Spellcaster's turn, yes?

"Admit it." said Noir, amused. "We are lost now."

Lucius sighed. "For the last time, we aren't lost! I know perfectly well where we are."

"Where?" Noir asked, for what seemed to Lucius like the hundredth time.

"We are here. I just don't know where everything else is in relation to us." Lucius replied annoyingly, to Noir's exasperation.

"Wha dan't wa fla?" groaned Thralk, gesturing at Vol, who was trudging along behind them.

"See, this is why next time I summon a Zombie, I'm going to give him intelligence, like I did Noir. We can't fly on Vol in case it gives our positions away, and we can't fly down low because Vol has trouble with the canopy. I've told you this several times!" As much as he said it, Lucius still wished he could fly. But, orders were orders.

"Ssssarra." Thralk gurgled sadly.

The group trudged on through the woods in silence. Which was why they all heard the sound of fighting coming from somewhere to their left through the trees a few moments later.

"What on earth!?" Lucius exclaimed. "I think we'd best check this out. But be cautious, mind."

Silently, Noir and Lucius crept towards the fight. Thralk tried his best to be silent, but instead only managed to create just more noise.

OoC: Up to you, Umbra. Could be humans, could be random forest monsters, could even be Elza, who seems in need of some help.

OOC: Set a retreat limit? Can't I just run away while they're in the swords? =S

==================================================

"What is it with those things?" Shaya'iesh panted heavily. "Even the undead can't be as bad as them!"

"I know." Elza replied. "I -" suddenly she paused.

"What?" Shaya'iesh asked anxiously.

"Shaya. You are a genius."

"I know, but, what does this have to do with...?" The guardian didn't have time to finish her sentence before her mistress literally dragged her, along with Zarya's hopefully unconscious body, and propelled them off the air with a pulse of magic. Once they were far enough, Elza let them all down.

"What's going on?" Shaya'iesh asked nervously.

"It's simple." Elza said. "We can't beat those Green Baboons, and in the state we are in, neither can we beat the undead, probably. But if we lure the undead to that area and hide, they just might take care of each other, with any luck."

"But first, we have to see to Zarya."

==================================================

OOC: Funeral turning, aren't I? =( So is my character unconscious or something, or just plain-out dead?
