Why so many Card Contests?

No idea if this has been said before, but it's annoying that there are so many Card Contests, because there are so many new members and n00bs making contests like "make a card. If its good enough 2 reps". Because of this, not many people join the actually good and creative Card Contests. My proposal is that a card-maker should ask the Card Contest moderator, currently DJ Osiris, for permission to start a Card Contest. Any Card Contest not approved, would be instantly locked and moved to the Finished Contests section. Because of this, prizes allowed for Card Contests would be slightly larger, to compensate. Please post if you approve.

You'd just slow down a lot of people from having fun. You'd also reduce the number of ignorant n00bs banned for spamming before they spam more of the forum.

i hate it when i have to agree with both sides of the argument.

 

i understand what Kizzi has said, and i understand what you have said. and they are both valid arguments. though what we need to have is some middle ground. somewhere that isnt too free, like Kizzi seems to imply, and something more strict, though not a strict as asking permission.

 

if we can find it, it would be a major help. ;) though we are only fallible humans..

Well, something has to be done. It seems that contests only get joined by more than 3 people if they're stickied, with few exceptions.
