Hey, it's me Seth. New Fan-Fic, old was to lame and boring. So I hope this one will work out nicely!

These chapters are going to be longer than normal.

I will add the character bios sometime.

Anyways, without further ado, welcome to Unlocked Memories.

Prologue

-Deserted Island Jungle-

"No! You'll never get through!" a cry came that could be heard throughout the whole jungle.

"Let us through." said a man wearigng a black hood. His voice was cold and icy.

There was many other men wearing black suits, standing around the man with the hood.

They were standing in a clearing which was surrounded by trees, in the centre was a small temple which had

blue lines and symbols enscripted into it.

"Never! No matter what you do to me, you won't come near it!" screamed a man.

He was wearing no shirt, but he had a necklace hanging around his neck. He was wearing some tan colored pants, and that was it.

"Kyoryu, no, you musn't." an old lady told the other guy.

"I must, I will risk my LIFE for this." Kyoryu responded.

"No! Your life is more important than this." the woman sounded worried.

"Our ancestors, their possessions, their cards, the secrets are all in there." Kyoryu shouted, "That is why we CANNOT and WILL NOT

let them in!"

"We don't have time for this..." one of the hooded men muttered.

"Let me propose a deal with you." the main hooded man coldly called out, getting the attention of Kyoryu and the old woman.

"What is it?" Kyoryu called back angrily.

"Do you know what dueling is?"

"Yeah, I've got my own cards right here!" Kyoryu said as he oulled out a deck of cards, out of what seeme to be nowhere.

"Excellent... Know what a duel disk is?" came that cold tone of voice.

"Wha? If you mean those things that those people use to play duel monsters, then, I don't need one.

We use the power from that temple over there."

"Exactly why we need it!" a man in a suit called out.

Ignoring what the man said, Kyoryu shuffled his deck and drew five cards. He put his deck into a strap around his wrist.

"Alright..." the man in the hood whispered as he took his deck out. He drew five cards and handed his deck to one of his goons.

"DUEL!"

Suddenly, the lines and symbols on the temple started the glowing. The ground started shaking...

And it was over in a few seconds.

"I go first!" Kyoryu told the hooded man.

"Whatever." he mumbled back.

Kyoryu raised his arm to draw a card. He drew one out and grinned.

"I summon Gilasaurus!" He held the card out and suddenly a raptor-like-creature appeared on the ground.

"And because of his effect, I can summon another one!" Kyoryu shouted with a big grin on his face.

Another raptor-thing appeared beside the original one.

"That's the end of my turn!"

Hmmmm... what can I do? the hooded man thought to himself.

"Card." He held out his hand as the goon holding his deck handed him the top card.

"I set a monster..." he almost whispered. He held a card upside down and horizontal out and dropped it.

A bigger version of the card appeared on the field.

"And I end my turn."

Kyoryu picked a card from the top of his deck and added to his hand.

"I summon Element Saurus!" He said as he held out the card.

Suddenly, a smaller version of a T-Rex appeared on the field, except this one had spikes sticking out

of it's neck and legs.

"Go attack his monster!" he ordered Elemental Saurus.

The dinosaur charged over and stomped on the card, revealing a Man-Eater Bug.

The human-like insect jumped at Element Saurus, only to be chomped on.

"Why di-?"

"You see, when my Element Saurus destroys an Effect Monster, it automatically goes to the graveyard, regarless of it's effect."

Kyoryu interrupted.

"Now, my two Gilasaurus's, attack him directly!"

The raptors charged at the hooded man and both took a bite at him, one at his shoulder and another at his leg.

The hooded man was down to 1200 LP.

"Aghhh..." the hooded man groaned softly.

Blood trickled down his arm. "Why?"

"On this island, you don't just lose Life Points, you get hurt." Kyoryu explained.

"Anyways, your move." Kyoryu told him.

One of the goons handed the hooded man his next card.

He staggered and gasped as he looked at the card carefully.

"I summon this..." he paused for a breath, "Emperor's Assassin."

A ninja looking person appeared onto the field. It was dressed in all black except for it's red dagger.

It also had a hood like the hooded man.

"And then I use this spell card..." another breathing pause, "Counter Charge. This card adds the max amount of counters

that it can have to a monster. And you know who I choose. Now that my Assassin has three counters, it can attack you directly!"

he gasped.

Kyoryu shouted out in grief as the assassin's dagger was plunged into his skin.

Kyoryu was down to 2600 LP.

"It's your turn now..."

"Alright... I draw." Kyoryu said, biting his lip.

He seemed happy about his card.

"I activate Hammer Shot! This destroys your monster!" Kyoryu told him cheerfully.

"Lucky..." the hooded man mumbled.

"Attack him directly, and end this duel!"

"No chance." the hooded man smirked. "I get to summon my Emperor's Defender, due to it's effect!"

"No way!" Kyoryu gasped.

The monster appeared on the field, it was covered in armor, head to toe. It was holding a long red spear.

It was too late to stop the attack now, Gilasaurus pounced at the defender and got a spear through the chest.

Gilasaurus was destroyed leaving Kyoryu at 2000 LP.

"I switch my other two monsters into defense position. I also set one trap card." Kyoryu said, sounding a little angry.

This can win th duel for me, he just has to summon 1 more monster... "I end my turn."

Again the goon handed the hooded man his card.

"I activate Monster Reborn. And take back my assassin."

The assassin was once again, on the field.

"Now, you lose." the hooded man told Kyoryu and started laughing coldly.

"Because I activate the spell card, Emperor's Help. What it does is, it let's me add the max counters that my monsters

can get to them. But this takes up half of my LP.

Oh, and I also activate this: Emperor's Aid, it adds 400 ATK to my monsters, for the cost of 400 LP. I now have 200 LP left.

So now that both of my monsters have maxed out counters, I can use their effects.

First of all, my assassin attacks you directly.

"Not so fast, I activate my-"

"Yes so fast, I activate my defender's effect, by removing him from play, you can't activate any traps! HAHAHAHAHA!"

The assassin jumped up and over all of Kyoryu dinosaurs and struck him with it's dagger.

"AGGH!" Kyoryu screamed and fell to the ground.

"And that leaves you at exactly 0. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!" The hooded man laughed uncontrolably.

The suited men rushes past Kyoryu at the temple...

"NO!" the old woman screamed at the top of her lungs.

The last thing Kyoryu heard was the scream and...

[spoiler=Chapter 1]

-Topaz City-

"OWWW!" Jet shouted when his head hit the floor.

He had fallen off the bed onto something hard.

He looked around, he couldn't find anything that looked hard.

Maybe he had just fallen onto the floor, he did have hardwood.

Ouch... That really hurt. It couldn't have been just the floor, it hurt too much!

Something gleamed that Jet could see at the corner of his eye.

He whipped his head around to see his duel disk, gleaming in the light.

"Ahhh," he mumbled. It was the duel disk that he had hit his head on.

Jet picked up the duel disk slowly and slid it onto his arm. He walked over to the door and slid through a crack, trying not to

wake anyone up.

He snuck down the stairs, only making a few quiet creaks.

Jet was finally down the stairs when he heard a loud snoring noise.

He peeked around a corner into the living room. His big step sister wassleeping on the couch. She had drool running down her chin.

Jet grinned and chuckled, amused at what his step sister was doing.

Almost into the kitchen...

"What do you think you're doing?"

Seth turned around to see his dad standing there with his arms crossed.

"I uhhh... I-" Jet tried to think of a way to explain.

"I know what you were doing, you were sneaking out. You wanted to go to the duel tower." his father said smuggly.

Jet's father had never been very nice, always yelling and getting mad.

While as Jet's step-father had always been full of happiness. That might be because he owns the biggest company in all of Topaz City.

Jet sighed as he walked towards his father.

"How can I make you let me get by?" Jet questioned his father.

"Only REAL duelists are aloud in the duel tower." Jet's father replied.

"What does that have to do with what I just asked?" Jet groaned.

"Shutup and listen!" Jet's father screamed at him. "Beat your sister in a duel and I'll let you through."

Jet's step sister was a pro duelist. Jet had watched her play many duels.

I know her strategy pretty well from all of the duels I've watched her play...

"Alright, I accept the challenge!" Jet replied with excitement.

"Making challenges involving me without my conscent?" Came a voice from behind Jet's dad.

"Kaya!" Jet exclaimed.

Jet's father looked suprised.

Hmph, he was probably thinking that if Kaya never woke up, then I wouldn't get to duel her, thought Jet.

"Anyways," Kaya huffed, "Do I have to? I have a duel at the stadium today."

"Ahhh, come on Kaya, I finally get to duel a pro, and you say no?" Jet whined.

"If I must..." grumbled Kaya in response.

"ALRIGHT!" Jet yelled at the top of his lungs.

"Duel," they both said, Kaya grumbling and Jet exclaiming.

"I get to go first squirt," Kaya told Jet.

Jet glared back at Kaya.

Kaya pulled a card out of her card slot, she looked at it, and added it to her hand.

"First of all, I'll summon Harpie Lady!"

A woman with long red hair and feathers coming out of her arms appeared on the field, screeching.

"Hah, that's almost ALWAYS your opening move, I know you inside out!" Jet said smuggly.

"Whatever..." Kaya brushed him off, "I also set 2 cards and equip Harpie Lady with Aero Nail."

The Harpie's attack rose to 1600 as a long blade appeared attatched to a wrist band wrapped around her wrist.

"And that's the end of my turn."

"You're going down!" Jet yelled excitedly.

"CALM DOWN!" his father yelled back.

"Okay, jeez..." Jet mumbled quietly.

"Now... I summon X Head Cannon!"

A robot that looked sort of like a dragon, but had no legs was on the field now. It had two cannons protruding from it's shoulders.

"Attack!" Jet ordered it.

X Head Cannon charged up it's cannons, getting ready to shoot. Lasers shot out of the cannons, heading right for the Harpie.

"Not so fast!" Kaya yelled, "I activate Multiplying Monsters, it's my newest edition to my deck!"

"W-What does it do?" Jet stammered.

"What it does is it let's me summon as much monsters with the same name as the one being attacked from my hand. And I have two!"

Two more harpies appeared on the field as the first one was blasted into smitherines.

"And thanks to Aero Nail's effect, I get to switch it to another harpie on my field.

One of the Harpies now had 1600 attack.

Kaya now also had 3800 LP.

"Rrghh, I end my turn" Jet sighed.

"Ohohoho, have you lost hope yet?" Kaya smirked.

"No where close," Jet smirked back.

Kaya put on a serious expression and drew a card.

"I activate Monster Reborn, and get my Haripe back."

Three haripe's stood on Kaya's field.

"And I can also summon another monster, because I haven't normal summoned yet. And I choose this, Cyber Harpie Lady!"

Another harpie now stood on the field. This one also had long red hair, but had pruple armor on.

"And that's it with my turn," Kaya said.

"My turn. Draw," Jet whispered. "And I attack with X Head Cannon! Attack one of the Harpie's with 1300 attack."

The robot again charged up and shot lasers at one of the lower attack Harpies.

"Hahaa! I can activate Strong Magnetic Force now!" Kaya laughed. "It let's me switch the attack target to any monster with higher attack.

And I switch the target too the Harpie equipped Aero Nail!"

The lasers suddenly stooped in mid-air and went towards the other Harpie, destroying it in a huge explosion.

Also lowering Kaya's LP down to 3600.

"What was the point of that?" questioned Jet, "Was it just so you lost less LP?"

"No, you need to study more... It let's me switch Aero Nail to another one of my harpies, and I choose Cyber Harpie Lady."

The Aero Nail appeared on Cyber Harpie's wrist, raising it's attack to 2100.

"Ohhh, now I get it..." Jet said with sparkles in his eyes, "Nice job!"

"I don't need props from you, squirt," Kaya responded.

"Hmph," Jet pouted, "I end my turn."

"Then I start mine!" Kaya said seriously, "attack his X Head Cannon my Cyber Harpie."

The Harpie flew over to the robot and sliced it vertically in half. Resulting in a huge explosion.

Jet's LP dropped to 3700.

"And now my other two Harpie's attack directly!" Kaya shouted with glee.

Both harpies flew over to Jet and took slashed at him with their claws.

Jet's LP was now at 100.

"Sorry squirt, admit it, you've already lost. You're lucky I didn't have another monster on the field." Kaya smirked again.

Jet closed his eyes, thinking of something that he could do...

"That's it!" he whispered to himself as his eyes snapped open.

Jet drew a card, and looked suprised. But then he looked mad.

Dang it! Now my plan won't work!

"I set a monster and a card. End turn."

"This is it, the duels ends now." Kaya was sure of herself. "I summon another Cyber Harpie Lady."

4 Harpies?! Jet excalimed in his mind.

"Finish this CYber Harpie Lady, attack his face down monster!"

The face-down monster flipped over, revealing Y Dragon Head. It's defense was only 1600 however. The Harpie slashed through it,

causing another explosion.

It's over, Jet thought.

The harpies slahsed him making his LP 0.

"Good duel," Jet muttered sticking out his hand to Kaya.

"Whatever," Kaya said in response, shaking his hand. "Make sure you see my duel tonight, squirt!" she called back as she ran away.

If only I had drawn that one card, I could have one Jet thoguht to himself as he watched Kaya run.

No, it doesn't.

Using "blah, blah, blah", said Fred

is much better than.

Fred: "Blah, blah, blah".

because you can attach emotions and descriptions to the former, for example:

"Blah, blah, blah" said Fred angrily.

which is much better than:

Fred [Angrily]: "Blah, blah, blah".

Yes, stick with the current format.

Slight word of advice: don't use the small writing for the actual fan fic, and don't use all the unnecessary line breaks. It will make it much easier to read.

What the hell!? You think script format is the best way of conducting a fanfic? The only reason:

"Blah blah blah" said John.

"Bleh bleh bleh" said Mary.

Is worse than:

John: Blah blah blah

Mary: Bleh bleh bleh

Is because the first one is written really badly! Instead of just using said, you attach emotions, and descriptions. For example:

"Blah blah blah" stated John confidently, secure in the fact he was sure of his answer.

"Bleh bleh bleh" replied Mary angrily.

See? You don't use "said" all the time, you use more expressive words, such as stated, questioned, asked, replied, shouted, begged, etc.

Sorry, I guess that was kind of off topic. But I just wanted to make my point to Purple Dinosaur. Script format is horrible, and should never be used. We aren't writing scripts here, unless any of you actually plan to make a YuGiOh episode (which I doubt), instead, we are writing literature, which never, ever, ever uses script format.

Wow, i thought i only heard 'blah blah blah' when my teacher is talking...

...ANYWAY, i have to agree with Deucalion there, script is so... impersonal, and unless you really mix it up, not very emotional.

As for the fanfic, it is interesting. I wonder who this "Kyoryu" character is. From the way you set it up, he could be a character who only appears this chapter, to the main character.

The "Emperor's Assassin" looked just like the goon hey? I find that suspicious...

Anyway, i like the mysterious start. It's made me interested and wanting to see the next chapter. So good work i say!
