i agree some of the mods are abusing their powers and i think the admin would choose their mods more carefully. because if a member has very high rep and then appointed to mod then they will go and push others around thinking their high and mighty. i say if the admin going to appoint a member as a mod at least keep an eye on him/her. right now i am treated like crap because people thought of my cards as crap.

I'm only ever appearing in the GD Section. Sometimes in General and rarely here. Respect has gone. I don't know why. It probably has something to do with the mass of new members here, who think they are better than everyone. Don't get me wrong, we shouldn't treat them like crap. I mean just because you have one star doesn't mean your 5 years old. I don't think respect will come back. You can try, but I think removing the rep system will have no effect. I just have one thing to say to new members though. If you think you're so good, then prove it. New members want respect, they should earn it. Same with everyone. I don't respect Crab Helmet even though he is a mod. This is because I've seen him post about 2 times because I'm never in his section. I know he's a good mod and if I knew him then I would probably respect him. Luke, I respect you because I've seen you around alot. That is why I meant no disrespect by that PM I sent you a couple of days ago. I respect Cyber. He's not a mod and he's been banned a couple of times, but he's my friend. Respect is a rarity these days. You hardly ever get a new member that doesn't break one rule in his/her first week. I think new members should earn respect. As for old members who have already earned it, it's not much but, you have my respect.

I remember back over one year ago when i joined that i was a total newb of ycm, i didn't even know how to get on the forums! Then i joined some contests and even though i was a newb then, people didn't treat me like crap, you are a new member, we are better and you are lower than us. As other people said respect is earned with hard work. in that first contest, i made my 2nd card and even though i had made only 12 or 13 posts, i ranked 2nd or 3rd against soul immortal (if anybody remembers him) and God Kaze i think. 'nuff said. well, i guess that everybody's point is that new members think that they are godlike and they are better than all of us and that respect is made of posts, reps and points.
