SushiTheLegend
I ask you this fellow members of Yugioh Card Maker Forums, what has happened to the respect in this site? I've noticed that not only does the flaming and noobity increase as time moves forward but the respect people once had for the other has somewhat vanished, I hardly ever see people respect others, sure they respect the small few they are friends with, but everyone else gets treated like crap. So tell me this, what can we do to return back to being a respectful and kind community? Axel says, make love not war, respect each other, and be happy. Got it memorized? Chaos Impact™
i think getting rid of the rep system would help alot so memebers who don't have much rep get treated likeb crap

Jesus
• Remove Reputation.• More Mods enforcing rules, thus enforcing respect.• Harder Rules - If you flame twice, 3 day auto-ban. Those should be enforced.
Exiro
Removing the Reputation System is irrelevant. It has nothing to do with respect. Also, I don't think this will return to a place where everyone is respected. There is not 'no respect at all', but only certain members are respected. Mr. Judgment Dragon
Members who do the right things like read the rules, not break them and help other members are the only ones who deserve to be respected. Reading the rules should be the first thing any new member does.
StevenBray
Unfortunately, the site's change from a respect, friendly and enjoyable Forum to what we have today is no different to the way the real world is at the moment. Surprisingly [sarcasm] there are many people out there who don't have respect for anyone, and there are many who think they have respect but are just confusing it with being nice (news flash: being nice and being respectful are not the same thing). There is no real way to prevent the lack of respect on the forum, without solving the respect issues in the real world first (which is damn near impossible). Guest KAJN
Unfortunately' date=' the site's change from a respect, friendly and enjoyable Forum to what we have today is no different to the way the real world is at the moment. Surprisingly [sarcasm'] there are many people out there who don't have respect for anyone, and there are many who think they have respect but are just confusing it with being nice (news flash: being nice and being respectful are not the same thing). There is no real way to prevent the lack of respect on the forum, without solving the respect issues in the real world first (which is damn near impossible). Exactly. We[well most] all know that 2007 was better than now. But people left because of bad changes and great members leaving. [uh your back too huh?] Anyway we may have changed and many other members have changed from "Good" to "Bad" as in the way they act. But oh well, in 2007 there were a lot of better things like less spamming more respect? Yes. Anyway that's all I have to say.

CinnamonStar
I hardly ever see people respect others' date=' sure they respect the small few they are friends with, but everyone else gets treated like crap.[/quote'] I agree here. The people who get some respect are usually the popular ones, not necessarily implying a high reputation, but I think every member should be respected, regardless of his popularity or "friends" circle. Axel says' date=' make love not war, respect each other, and be happy.[/quote'] Leave out the make love part and it sounds pretty good.;)As someone mentioned, respect and being nice to people are two different things, but the combination of the two can certainly help and contribute to this community in an effective way. Judαs
Maybe it's due to too many "perfectionists" in the site. I suppose people's card making skills have improved. I remember when I posted my first cards I got 8/10 and high ratings. A month later my thread was bumped and I got really horrible comments for it even when I had already stated it was an old set of mine and reported it to be locked. On this forum comments like "Your cards PHAIL" and "read tuts n00b" and other stuff which isn't even 25 characters seem to be common :|

CinnamonStar
Maybe it's due to too many "perfectionists" in the site. Perfectionism and kindness towards others don't always exclude each other. I see your point, though and it's true that some people can be very impolite when it comes to card ratings.Remember, you can also express a critic while staying polite and helping the member to actually improve.;)
jorel658
maybe I should make cards and earn respect...according to my research...Humans respect people the ones they love the most beside them....So to earn respect... We have to prove worth of being respected according to the human standards were dealing with...Its difficult but its the only solution...No text like make love not war by axel wouldn't even help to respect other people....To settle it,, THERE IS ONE WAY... DUEL !@#$%^&*() I mean by creating better cards than them... then the clock will tick... Destiny awaits.. to be or not to be respected? << its the main question... ShadowKyogre
I agree. And some people are just giving 0/10s with no comments on how to make their cards better.
Black Rose Phoenix®
To all those who said about the reputation system, it shouldn't be removed, because it is fair to tell people what they have done wrong or what they have done right and give them praise for the good things and tell them what they can can do to stop being bad. The neg reps are to tell those who disrespect others how they are disrespecting. Although, i do think the rules should be stated clearer and re-enforced more. Especialy the Flame and Spam rules, i have seen a lot of spam today...

Black Rose Phoenix®
The point of having mods is to get rid of the people that direspect others, obviously we should get more mods and have a bigger team to rienforce that. P.S. Cool card Manuel46.

J-Max
What you have to understand is the whole aspect of Respect is earned through Great Deeds. Problem with Newbies not getting the respect they should deserve is the simple fact that people (Including myslef) are probally sick of seeing the same old 2-Bit Newbie who post a few Crappy Cards, Spam a bit and then vanish. My calculations state that the Current Great to Crappy Newbie ratio is 1/700. Also it doesn't help when Newbies are smart and relize the who9le Introduction section for the most part is a Giant Sham. I respect all of you here but if you do something that Irritates me I just try to ignore it.
