Recommended Posts

The Judge at My Tuesday locals is known as the "Fusion Master" and has apparently figured out the ultimate Gladiator Beast killer becasue it was once used against Him and His Ultimate Fusion deck. He never got a chance to tell us what the card actually was but I think it may have been this:

Oppression stops Glad Beasts from Special Summoning and Skill Drain stops them from tagging out and getting their effects.

not true' date=' they can tag out but they wont get their effects. So Tagging would be kinda pointless

[/quote']

How can they tag out if Skill Drain negates that effect?

Because the Glad Beast is not on the field when the effect resolves,

here's a ruling on Skill Drain

"Skill Drain" will not negate an Ignition Effect or Trigger Effect if the Effect Monster is not face-up on the field when the effect resolves.

Glad Beasts effects are Trigger, and they are not face-up on the field when the effect resolves. They are in the Deck so they can tag out but the monster won't get it's effect.

Yep, Fusilier Dragon wouldn't come so far without that ruling with their Exiled Force.

But you've got to mention that it's a cost for the GBs to go to the deck and that that's why they won't be face-up when they resolve.
