What are Synchro Monsters?

Synchro Monsters are new kinds of monsters that will be released in the Starter Decks 2008 and the new 5D's Booster packs. They are monsters that can be "Synchro Summoned" by having 1 Tuner Monster and 1 Non-Tuner that fill the requirements for the Synchro Summon. If the Synchro Monster needs a DARK Tuner monster, you can use Junk Synchron, and the other monster that is required can be a Non-Tuner Monster. Synchro monsters are fairly easy to Summon, as you do not need a Polymerization, Miracle Fusion or any other kind of Fusion Spell Card. You just have to remove them from the field. The Tuner and Non-Tuner monster MUST have the excact amount of Stars as the Synchro Monster you are attempting to Summon. They can't go over or lower. They are Ritual Monsters without the Ritual Spell card, most people would probably say. The card frame is White. Since Synchro Monsters belong in the _ _ _ _ _ Deck, if an effect of a Monster/Spell/Trap makes the Synchro Monster return to the Hand or Deck, they are sent to the _ _ _ _ _ Deck instead. The Synchro Monsters are only seen in 5D's so far. Probably the best Synchro Monsters are Stardust Dragon, Black Rose Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend who belong to Yusei Fudo, Aki, and Jack Atlus (in order)

What are Tuner Monsters?

Tuner Monsters are new kinds of monsters that will be release in the Starter Decks 2008 and the new 5D'S Booster Packs. They are monsters used to Synchro Summon a Synchro Monster. Tuner Monsters range from a level of 1-3 mostly. They can be Normal Monsters OR Effect Monsters. Junk Synchron is probably the best Tuner Monster. Tuner Monsters do not have any Special Place to be put it like the Synchro Monsters, they are basically normal monsters like Blue Eyes, Buster Blader, or any other kind of monster you can think of. Tuner is the 1st Sub-Type for a Normal Monster and the 5th for Effect Monsters. They don't have any specific color like Synchro's, just the normal Effect Monster color we all know and love. There isn't really much to say about Tuner Monsters.

Where do you put Synchro Monsters?

Also known as the Fusion Deck, Synchro Monsters are place in the Extra Deck and seperated from the Normal Deck, so there is no need to worry about getting it in your hands, which makes Synchro Summoning much easier. The only thing that goes in the Extra Deck are the Synchro's and the Fusion's. Though, I would personally put the Synchro Monsters in the normal Deck, instead of making it that easy, especially since all you need to do is just remove them from your side of the field instead of using Polymerization, Miracle Fusion, Future Fusion, or any other card. Again, not much to say here.

Examples of Synchro Monsters and Tuner Monsters.

Probably the best of all the Synchro's are Stardust Dragon, Black Rose Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend owned by Yusei Fudo, Aki and Jack as mentioned earlier.

Here are the cards and there effect underneath:

Stardust Dragon:

Amazing effect. Negate Activation, and Summon next turn.Slightly Overpowered, but a great effect none-the-less. Can't wait for it to come out!!!

Black Rose Dragon:

[spoiler=Effect] 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can destroy all cards on the field. Once per turn, you can remove 1 Plant-Type monster in your Graveyard from play to change 1 Defense Position monster your opponent controls to Attack Position, and make its ATK 0.

I love the destroy every card on the field effect. This card is great if your opponent has DNA Surgery and Buster Blader on the field, or Insect Barrier and DNA Surgery. It's also very abusable with "Card Guard".

Red Dragon Archfiend:

Overpowered and underpowered, which makes it balanced. It can be used to destroy those High Defence monsters like Neo Aqua Madoor. The thing about destroying your monsters, people will probably not like that, but it's still very powerful.

Now for the Tuners. Probably the best Tuner Monsters are Junk Synchron and, even though the next monster is a Normal Monster, Tune Warrior, it has 1600 ATK, yet only LVL 3, which means it's easy to keep it on the field rather than struggling to keep it there with Traps and/or Spells.

Junk Synchron:

You can get an extra monster for a Synchro Summon if the Synchro is level 5, which means Easy Summon.

Tune Warrior:

Like I said, it's strong for a Level 3 Tuner Monster, so no struggling to keep on field.

FAQ

None so far. Most of the FAQ is already said somewhere at the top.

Oh... Meh. I also did figure that Wikia is more confusing, and I decided to make my own. Thanks anyway, still.

A Bit of an old thread I know, but...

... You didn't mention that you need the monsters on the field in order to use them for a Synchro Summon. It's just like Contact Fusion.

Other than that, nice guide, I think this should be revived, the noobs (this time, not me!) will really find this useful, it doesn't belong on the second page.

Nobody said this should be stickied' date=' but it should be (if there's no stickied thread like this yet)

This should help the noobs who only post cards as Synchro because they're cool.

Btw, Extra Deck looks like _ _ _ _ _ Deck on the computer I'm using right now.

I put it like that, didn't want to spoil the other section of the guide. Lol.
