I recently took a vacation and worked on some card ideas while I was relaxing. I don't have images for any of them yet, but I still wanted to get some opinion on their balance, uniqueness, etc.

 

Inverse Mirror

Normal Trap

Activate only when your opponent attacks you directly. Remove from play all monsters your opponent controls except the attacking monster.

 

Essence Steal

Quick-Play Spell

Select 1 monster your opponent controls and move it to 1 of your unoccupied Spell & Trap Card Zones. It is treated as a Continuous Trap Card.

 

Essence Control

Normal Spell

Select 1 opponent's monster in your Spell & Trap Card Zone and Special Summon it under your control.

 

Chain Negation

Normal Trap

Activate only as Chain Link 3 or higher. Negate and destroy Chain Link 1 in the current Chain.

 

Re-sprung

Counter Trap

Remove from play 1 Normal or Counter Trap Card in your Graveyard. The effect of this card becomes the effect of the removed card. If the effect requires a cost, you must pay double.

 

Special Draw

Normal Trap

Activate only during your opponent's turn. Draw 1 card. Your opponent cannot chain to the activation of this card.

 

Hand Save

Quick-Play Spell

Activate only during your turn. If you would have to discard from your hand for a card effect (except a cost), you can instead place up to 2 cards from your hand face-up on top of your Deck.

 

Punishment of Variety

Quick-Play Spell

Pay 1000 Life Points. Your opponent discards 1 card from their hand for each different Type of monster they control.

 

Defending the Innocent

Normal Trap

Activate only during the Battle Phase. This turn, when a monster attacks, only the attacking monster and the attack target can be destroyed or removed from the field until the end of the Damage Step.

I would think Punishment of Variety and Inverse Mirror need a pirce. 500 LP? All the other cards a really great.

Well, Inverse Mirror, I was thinking the cost is that the attacking monster still attacks, does it need more than that? As for Punishment of Variety, maybe a cost is necessary.

It could use a cost, discard a card or 1000 LP. The ablity to wipe out your opponents field except for 1 monster is alot. maybe you can have any monsters on the field when your opponent attacks.
