I have decided to make a DARK monster contest to get an idea of who's the cat's meow when it comes to card making. ^_^

 

End Date: Thursday, August 15th, 2008

 

Prizes:

 

The winner receives 6 positive reputation points.

Also a secret prize for all those who enter. ^_^

 

Rules: READ ALL OF THEM VERY CAREFULLY IF YOU HOPE TO DO WELL!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH EVEN WITH BOLDS, BLOCK CAPITALS, UNDERLINES, ITALICS, AND EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY'RE JUST THAT IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

-Your card must be either an Effect Monster, Synchro Monster, Fusion Monster, or Ritual Monster. Nor Normal Monsters, cards MUST have effects.

 

-Entries must have a minimum and maximum of 1 card in them.

 

-Cards cannot exceed 5000 ATK or DEF. 5000 is the maximum value of base ATK and DEF so far and I don't want you to go over it. Effects can boost ATK and DEF, but I want your base stats to be lower than 5000. ? is included in this as it's treated as a base of 0.

 

-To enter, it is mandatory that you pay a 10 Point entry fee. I apologize, but it's to make sure you read the rules. If you win the prize will do more than just make up for it. Points can easily be regenerated, so it shouldn't be too troublesome.

 

-All forum rules apply when posting in this contest. Don't think they don't just because this is a contest.

-Only enter if you've read the OCG thread and applied the knowledge gained from reading this thread when making your card. I will know if you haven't read it. A few errors here and there is understandable, but a farcical lolerrorz card practically made out of bad OCG is unacceptable.

Alright, now that we have those out of the way we can get to the "Phun Stuff®".

 

You will be judged with the following rubric, and given explanations as to why you got the marks you did for each category.

 

Wording or Official Card Grammar as many of you prefer to call it: 30%

Name: 10%

Picture: 10%

Effect Length: 20%

Balance: 20%

Details: 10%

 

You'll also all get free wording fixes, because I'm pretty standard as far as being "nice". By the way, you get 1 point deducted in the Wording category for each error, but using short effects isn't going to evade it as I will kill you in the Effect Length category. ^_^

 

The Larvae Moth Clause: Rule-Breakers will end up on the Larvae Moth list. Like a Blacklist, but with a spin to suit it with the forum. It means that you can't have your cards judged in this contest or any of my contests. It will be reserved for rule-breakers who think they're above the rules. Ya can't beat the system, so don't even try to. The reason for the list's name is the fact that Larvae Moth epically fails, like you will if you end up on that list.

 

The Entry Cleared list: If you're on this list, it means I've received your card and it

follows the rules.

 

The Sheep-Token-with-Potential-List list: People who have reserved entries or have not paid the 10-Point entry fee will be on this list. If you reserve an entry you're just a sheep token, but if you make a good card you'll be equipped with United we Stand and become epic, which is the reason behind the naming of this list.

This card is also treated as a Fairy-Type monster. If this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, your opponent draws 1 card and place 1 Ninja Counter on this card. By removing any number of Ninja Counter(s) from this card, activate the appropriate effect based on the number of Ninja Counter(s) you removed.

- 1: This card gains 400 ATK and DEF.

- 2: Pay 700 Life Points to Special Summon as many Level 3 or lower Warrior-Type monsters as possible from your hand.

- 3: Draw 2 cards.

- 4 or more: You can Special Summon 1 "Samurai Token" (Fairy-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Attack Position. If the "Samurai Token" is selected as an attack target, destroy all monsters on the field except this card.

[spoiler=Effect]You can Advance Summon this monster by releasing 3 monsters you control. If you do this, destroy all LIGHT monsters your opponent controls. During each of your Standby Phases, you can activate one of the following effects:

-Pay 500 Life Points to Summon 1 DARK monster from your hand.

-Pay 1000 Life Points. Select 1 level 5 or higher monster you control. Your opponent loses Life Points equal to the ATK of the selected monster -700.

-Release 1 DARK monster you control. Your opponent cannot activate any Set Spell or Trap cards until the End Phase.

-Discard the top 4 cards from your Deck. Select 1 card from your Deck and add it to your hand.

If this monster is selected as an attack target, you can activate 1 of the following effects:
