Hello People!

 

After hearing people are wanting more well run contests, i will run a varied number of contests per month from now on.

 

With new Releases in the TCG World, each contest will be made in Celebration of these Releases.

 

This contest Is made to Celebrate the Release of the 2008 5D's Starter Deck, which should be out on August 5th.

Prizes

 

3rd Place - 1 Rep

2nd Place - 2 Reps

1st Place - 5 Reps + 1000 Points

 

You maybe wondering, 8 Reps? Well since these are the official Monthly Card Contests, for these contests only, 8 reps will be the total on offer unlike the Official 6. Think thats unfair? So what, i made the rules afterall :P

 

1st Place will recieve 1000 Points also, which is basically a Name Change if you want one.

Objective

 

Seeing as this contest is made to Celebrate the 2008 Starter Deck Release, it will be a Synchro Contest.

 

You must make either:

 

Option 1 - 1 Tuner Monster

Option 2 - 1 Synchro Monster

Option 3 - 1 Tuner Monster + 1 Synchro Monster

 

If you choose option 3, i will not be taking into account 2 cards instead of 1 when Judging, therefore its an equal chance if you decide to make 1 monster instead of 2.

Grading System

 

I wrote the thread, i have the Knowledge, and i will be Greatly Judging on OCG. Try to make it perfect, if not then near perfect, it will be the top thing im grading on.

 

I will also be grading your cards on Image, Effect uniqueness, Balance and how it fairs compared to previously released Synchro / Tuner monsters.

 

(Altho not 100% Confirmed, it has been said that the TCG will not have the 'Release' + 'Advance Summon' Change, if you use it you will not be judged down upon)

Any number of people may enter.

 

Deadline for this Contest will be AUGUST 5th, if for some reason the Starter Deck is Released after the 5th, the deadline will be moved to its new Release Day.

The Next August Contest Will Take Place before the Release of the 2008 Wave 1 Tins.

Elite Vortex Guardian

1 Tuner monster + 1 non-Tuner monster

When this card is Summoned, you can select 1 card in your Extra Deck and reveal it to your opponent. The card is treated as an Equip Spell Card and is equipped to this card. This card gains 100 ATK for each Tuner monster or Synchro monster in your Graveyard. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, check the top 2 cards of your Deck, if any of them are Spell Cards, add them to your hand.

 

Crushclaw Grizzly

When this card is selected as an attack target by a monster your opponent controls, look at the top 3 cards of your Deck. If any are Trap Cards, you can send them to the Graveyard to negate the attack and to inflict 450 damage to your opponent, your Deck is then shuffled. When this card is destroyed, you can discard 1 card from your hand to place it face-up in your Extra Deck instead.

This card can only be Special Summoned from your Fusion Deck by returning the above cards you control to the Deck (You do not use "Polymerization".) Destroy one Spell, or Trap Card on the feild. Once per turn Special Summon one "Gladiator Beast" from your hand for each Spell, or Trap Card sent to the graveyard by this Cards effect. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can return this card to the Extra Deck to Special Summon 2 "Gladiator Beast" monsters from your Deck, except "Gladiator Beast Darius".

I was going to "Entry Reserve" on this one since I'm actually pretty excited about seeing a contest with decent odds of ending but then I thought about it...and I'll just go ahead and enter with this little twosome from my D.D. Set. :D
