Phantom Roxas
The monster's aren't tributed for Buster Mode' date=' apparently they're destroyed and Buster Mode is played in response, at least that's what I can gather. I suppose that would make them a little less broken, as eventually nobody's going to be stupid enough to destroy RDD when their opponent has a face down card....[/quote'] That might only apply to SDD/B though. Did you see the Anime Special Tour Episode?

.Digital.Simplicity.
Does stardust dragon have a buster mode? it's power looks good.
TotalObelisk
So far only Red Deamons and Stardust have buster modes. I expect the other signer dragons may have one two, but at the moment that's uncertain...
werewolfjedi
*coughcoughwickedgodscoughcough* I wonder if the other four will have upgrades like this? the wg's aren't downgrades, they work just fine when played right. someone I know actually tossed in a dread root in a zombie deck, and it tore everyone apart that faced it. although it was combo ed with burden, which meant i rarely had anything above 500 ATK or DEF. deadly when used right, crappy shist otherwise. .Digital.Simplicity.
I think they will all have buster modes because they are the main monsters in the show.
Phantom Roxas
Here's the effect for Buster Mode: Activate only when a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster you control is destroyed. Special Summon 1 "Buster" monster that shares the first part of it's name as the destroyed monster. Looks like Crab and Total were right. However, both this effect and RDA/B's are not confirmed on Shriek, and they're taken from the Jump Anime Tour Special. However, since most of the Anime->TCG/OCG cards in 5D's have almost the same effects, these are probably the effects to expect.

Phantom Roxas
ummm....RDA/Buster=God yet? Sorta. Let me get the REAL (although unconfirmed) effect. There's a Buster support card and a Doomkaiser Buster. I noticed. If they made a Doomkaiser/Buster, they HAVE to make a Black Rose Dragon/Buster. SebastiaanZ
Well there is also a rumour that Buster Mode does not only go for the dragons but for all synchro`s. That comes from janime.

Umbra
Well there is also a rumour that Buster Mode does not only go for the dragons but for all synchro`s.The monster would need to have a Buster mode, but obviously it's not limited to dragons. This makes me wonder if they'll appear in the anime.

BulletMan
so i looked around and this is what i believe might be the effect: "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Buster Mode". When this card destroys an opponent`s monster by battle OR when this card battles your opponent`s monster, during damage calculation, destroy all other monsters on the field. If this card is destroyed by a card effect, Special Summon 1 "Red Dragon Archfiend" from your Graveyard." but i got this from wiki, and we can never truly trust wiki... CrabHelmet
/Buster Monsters have a very significant weakness: You need to run the /Buster Monster itself, which is a total dead draw, and Buster Mode, which is utterly useless unless you have the relevant Synchro Monster on your field. Oh, and it appears that Buster Mode can only Special Summon your /Buster Monster from the deck, NOT from the hand or graveyard, so you might even need to run multiple copies of the /Buster Monster in order to make sure that one is in the deck... BulletMan
I think these Busters things might be worst than rituals. in order to get it, synchro summon the monster. 1 tuner + 1 non = synchro = -2Buster mode + synchro = buster monster = -4 Ritual Spell + 1monster+ 1 or no monsters if the other monster has a high enough lev. + ritual monster in hand = Ritual monster is summoned = -4 or -3. so busters are bad in my opinion.
