Rina Kasakura
Here are 3 cards that I managed to find pics for. I put the "Kazuki Takahashi" stuff in there to make it look more realistic. I also left out the "1st Edition" bit, since there's no superscript involved (and because I didn't want to type in "Limited Edition"). Please tell me what you think, in general. The Slime Lord
Amazon of the fallen is good. I don't think I see any problems with it except it should say something like: ... when a monster with "Amazoness" or "Amazon Archer" in it's name... Besides that, good job. 9/10 For Old Kingdom, well, by Knight monsters, I can only assume you meant Warrior monsters? It's kind of underpowered also. 5.5/10(Oh yeah, is that pic from Resistance?) I like the idea of Joint Culture. I think it should be a Continous Spell Card and it's effect should should say something like: Select 1 face-up monster on your side of the field. As long as this card and the selected monster remain face-up on the field, all monsters on your side of the field are treated as the same type as the selected monster.(I'm so glad you wrote "face-up" instead of "face up". Most newer members don't for some reason). So, 7.2/10. (sorry if some of was worded wrong, it's effect is somewhat different from what I usually see.) Rina Kasakura
Thanks, guys. ^_^ Well, when I wrote the amazon stuff, I was following that text... ruling-thingy (on how Upper Deck was updating their text in order to save space). I followed its examples for Elemental Heroes and used some of the older Amazoness cards, both as references. So, as far as being up to date with that sort of thing, it should be all right. '_' On that note, I applied that method when referring to "Knight" monsters, too. So you know, I actually meant it as it was said. As such, it applies to, but is not limited to, the folowing: Jack's KnightQueen's KnightKing's KnightBlade KnightCommand KnightGiltia the Dragon Knight (or "Giltia the D. Knight" ...either of those is its name, right?)Dragoness the Wicked KnightDark Blade the Dragon KnightDark Magician KnightGearfried the Iron Knight(Swift) Gaia the Fierce Knight...and so on. But you're generally right: fairly underpowered. What do you (guys [plural, not gender]) think I should add to it? (Side Note: Pic from Resistance? No idea. I got these off of Google. ^_^') I think you made a good point about Joint Culture being a Continuous Spell Card, Slime Lord. Makes more sense, logically. Alrighty, I’ll get right on that. And since it will be Continuous, there’s no need to add the three words in “As long as this card and the selected monster remain face-up on the field,” since, being continuous, once it leaves the field, its effect disappears. SushiTheLegend
I have to agree with Slime fully on it all. The wording could be so much better, otherwise they all seem really decent.
Rina Kasakura
Thanks.Other text things, like "you control," are from other recent cards. This is where I got the text thing from. The article is by Curtis Schultz, so I highly believe what he says to be fact. Schultz's Metagame.com Article "Keeping it Simple"
JerryFreelance
I like the first one, but I think that the second part oof the effect is a bit overpowered... Basically, it's a 1 for 1 and nothing happens to you... So a 0 for 1... I think the second part of the effect should be maybe something like shrink instead... Halve until the end of the turn. That way, you can ram and slam... It'll take out anything up to BEWD... Nothing else really gets run... The second card IMO is kinda bad. I hate cards that boost stats like that... Surely you can think of some bonus effect a knight card gets instead... And the last one seems too much like DNA Surgery to me...
Bfmvrocks
Why don't you fix the description to. All monsters with Knight in their name gain 600 ATK. ?
Rina Kasakura
To "I R Grammar": I noticed the 1-for-1 thing, too, but in retrospect, Amazoness monsters/decks are lacking support of that kind, so I'm one to think that it'd be alright, in their case. And you're right: Joint Culture is like DNA Surgery, but the main difference is that your monsters keep their Original Types as well as gaining the shared one. Is it worth it? Probably not, but I like it. My mentality when seeing this picture and deciding on the name was, ".... .... 'Wild Nature's Release' and 'Limiter Removal'.... Unlikely, but sounds interesting enough to try.... Yeah, sure; why not." Obviously, there are other Type combinations (like Warriors gaining the Piercing ability from the selected Enraged Battle Ox in an Earth deck), but that's what I had in mind, at that time. To "Bfmvrocks": As said before, there's no need to say "with [...] in their card name," but the 600 ATK gain sounds nice. However, if I were to increase it that much, any bonus effects added to this card would have to be considerably low-key, right? Even if it only applies to "Knight" monsters. So, in that case, what additional effects would you all suggest?
