Subtypes, how to, when to, rules for subtypes

I have been seeing people make new Subtypes, but they aren't actually subtypes 0.o here is how to make a proper subtype.

1 - A Subtype should not have the same word in the names of all the cards of that subtype.

2 - All monsters of the same subtype should have the same or near same text in the beginning of every card.

There, with those 2 steps you can successfully make a good new subtype! Hope I helped!

Why not? There's no rule that says a subtype can't also have an archetype' date=' the two aren't mutually exclusive. Generally, subtypes have cards for all different kinds of archetypes and even some just for types, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you can't have both in one.

Not true. Tuners don't have any text like that (especially considering some of them are Normal Monsters), Union monsters generally have most of it at the end of the card, my Force monsters all have different effects (though, they all involve activating Push Spells), etc.

It was a good idea, but with how simple and general you made it there's a lot of exceptions that almost make it even harder to understand and use.
