God of War is my favorite video game due to the amount of violence and storyline. If you don't know the storyline, I will give you a brief summary:

Kratos, the main character, was Captain of the Spartan Army and went undefeated for a while. But then came a day when he was at the edge of defeat. The barbarians numbered in the thousands killing the brutally. At the moment to which Kratos should have died, he called for divine aid from the God of War, Ares. Ares helped Kratos defeat the Barbarian Army, but at the cost of his eternal loyalty to the God of War. Bound by the Blades of chaos burned into his skin, he was an unstoppable warrior when came a day he arrived to a temple in a village dedicated to the Athena.....

 

I will not reveal anymore because I fear that I may ruin the plot for those who haven't play the game. Anyways this contest will be based on God of War the video game. You must create a least 2 monsters with support cards. I am being very vague with the amount of cards you must enter because you may enter more cards than just the 2 monsters. The more the better. However, this will be based on the GREEK MYTHOLOGY of the cards and their accuracy to the actual mythology or to the video game.

 

PRIZES:

1st: 4 reps. and 20 points

2nd: 2 reps. and 10 points

3rd: 1 rep. and 5 points

 

*All other participants will receive 1 rep point. (Unless they do not follow my terms and are completely unrelated)

This is the biggest contest I have made thus far and I hope you like it. Enjoy making your cards and if you have never played God of War, PLAY IT!!! It is really gooood!!!!

DUE DATE/DEADLINE will be August 9th (but since I am extending it now it will be Monday 13th). A week from now. That is plenty of time.

Oh Yeah! I forgot to mention that Snowyash07 will help to judge this contest with me.

Alright, finished at last! I haven't actually played the game God of War so forgive me if some things don't seem accurate to the real game. Most of my references for information came from Wikipedia and game sites, and hopefully they were reliable sources. Anyways here is my attempt for God of War cards.

Name : Kratos the Ghost of Sparta

Effect : This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card. "Curse of the Oracle". This card can attack all monsters on your opponent's side of the field and must attack whenever possible. You may not Summon any monsters as long as this card is on your side of the field.

Name : Curse of the Oracle

Effect : This card is used to Ritual Summon "Kratos the Ghost of Sparta". You must also offer monsters whose total Level Stars equal 8 or more as a Tribute from the field or your hand. One of the monsters used as a Tribute must be Kratos the Spartan Warrior. When this card resolves, destroy all monsters on your side of the field except "Kratos the Ghost of Sparta".

Name : Kratos the Spartan Warrior

Background Text : The fearsome Spartan warrior, Kratos. He lead an army of thousands against a barbaric horde, only to find himself desperate for help from the Gods.

Name : Medusa's Gaze

Effect : You must pay 1000 Life Points to equip this card to a monster on your side of the field. Whenever a monster is destroyed as a result of battle by the monster equipped with this card, your opponent may not occupy the destroyed monster's Monster Zone as long as this card remains on the field.

Name : Army of Hades

Effect : Special Summon 2 "Undead Tokens" (Zombie-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 500/DEF 500) onto your side of the field. Select 1 monster on your side of the field and increase it's ATK by 300 for each "Undead Token" on your side of the field. When there are no "Undead Tokens" on your side of the field, destroy this card.

Name : Poseidon's Rage

Effect : When your opponenet declares an attack, negate the attack and reduce the ATK and DEF of all monsters on your opponent's side of the field by 200.

 

That's it~ I apologize if some of the images don't fit the animations in the actual game... I tried to fit the card effects to the in game effects of the skills/weapons. Hope you like them, and hope I didn't slaughter God of War by making cards that don't relate to it.. You can blame Wikipedia if none of it makes sense :P

I feel like I need to explain Kratos's effect. It's like how during battle you have one of those Context Sesitive Commands like hitting a specific button or rotating the analog stick. Also, to shorten his text, I changed "when this card attacks with an ATK that is higher than the other monster's DEF, blah, blah, blah" to "This cad inflict Piercing Damage." Hope you enjoy:
